My name is James Weil, I'm 14. I've been working on graphics for around a year, and I've been trying to learn CSS, HTML, and Javascript. So anyways, heres my question. I have this simple rollover button. Heres the code.
What I need, Is the code for this: making a radio button (once activated with green dot inside it) link to a different page. That's about it. Pretty simple.
I have a question today about making a rollover effect on top of the jQuery Font Effect plugin, like change the gradient color in this Anchor Tag. The code in my JavaScript looks like this.
How can I make a change to this using onmouseover html trigger? I need a function that would change the mirrorColor and color contained in the CSS styles for #seniorpeoplemeet and #realmaturesingles.
I have been trying to get better at my javascript as of late and there is this one particular color fading technique I have found that I am having trouble dissecting. The following code appears to be how they are making a rollover go from a dark gray to a subtle light gray with a nice fade but I can't exactly tell whats going on from the code. Is it just telling it to add a rgb point in so many seconds?
I used CSS to change the cursor on my website, as well as the cursor for link hovers. Is there anyway to override this and use a different cursor for just one link on my website?
I want a URL parameter, like [URL] to be added when a link is clicked. So for example, when I click one of the menu tabs on [URL], I want a #tab-1 to be added at the end of the URL.If you look now, clicking a new tab adds nothing to the URL because it's pre-loaded.
Here is an example of what is done so far: [URL]. When you mouse over the b&w images you will see the image change to color. When you mouse over the links on the left they will have a rollover and also change the image on the right to color.
What I would also like is mouseover the image to change the rollover state of the link on the left. Here is my code so far.. PHP Code: <style type="text/css"><!--/* ================================= *//* ====== Subject Matter Rollovers ====== */#menuButton1{height: 41px;width: 133px; overflow: hidden;background: url(images/content/buttons/subjectmatter.png) top left no-repeat; display: block;text-decoration:none;line-height:2.5em;color:#000000;} #menuButton1:hover{color:#FFFF00;
I thought the following might work (2nd image) Code: document.getElementById('link2').class='menu_hover'; But as you see no it does not.
I've got this code that allows me to create an image rollover and link that image to a website. However, I'd like to be able to have the website that it links to open in a new window/tab. how I could tweak this code to accomodate that?
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="JavaScript"> <!-- Begin loadImage1 = new Image(); loadImage1.src="http://my_button_image_rollover.jpg";
i am displaying image links for a site however i can't get the rollover images from javascript to work in the cfoutput tag. Here is the code that i am trying to get to work. I figured i should post this thread here b/c someone may see the javascript problem. I'd appreciate any help. It's just loading the image right now and now performing the image_over rollover. Code:
I am trying to get the title attribute of a link to be the same as the visible text of the link. That is, I want the little pop up that occurs when you hover your mouse over the link to read the same as what users would see in the menu. The menu is written by Javascript, so there is no way to just put a title attribute on each link. Here is the code:
I have this loop I run to retrieve wallposts with php. Within this loop, I want a link/button on every post that says "comment". When the user clicks the comment link I want a comment field and post button to appear on the post I clicked on. The problem is that when I've tried making a link that does this, it only drops down the comment field on the most recent wallpost regardless of which wallpost I click on.
I have a link that has an mp3 sound as its href:<a href="sounds/genealogy.mp3" class="track track-default"> this is a link</a>. Unfortunately, I also need that same link to go to a part on the site (href=#greenhouse) so that the sound plays on that part of the site.
i have a asp.net checkboxlist populated with records from database.i have a javascript in the same page where in there are some list/link with mouseover events.reference to link for the continuation http:[url]....when the mouseover on a link then its text which is in the span shld appear in the checkbox
My question is if the method is post and the input type is submit anyway to make it rollover? if not what would a javascript look like that would use the post method?
on my website: [URL] I am using the buttons from JQuery UI, as you can see on the example: [URL] there is a rollover effect on the button but not on my website?!
I am trying to write code to make a rollover effect on a submit form button (and actually I am not even sure if is possible to do it!). I am starting to work on DOM right now, so I am a beginner here. Here is the code I wrote which (obviously) doesn't work: Code:
I've been trying to figure out how to do this for some time now without using flash and I'm getting nowhere.
So, I have a rollover button with the 2 button images in the same image, using negative height in CSS to perform the rollover (just like the button here). I would love it if the rolled-over image would pulse while the mouse is hovered over it.
Any ideas on how to achieve this or a library that would support something like this? SO far I've just started researching jQuery UI effects and such, but I'm hitting a wall with progress.
The button shows a little toaster that revolves in response to an mouseover event. The first time you click on it nothing happens but it works the second time. Same thing with the onClick event. Doesn't work the first time, but works the second time. The code uses the setInterval function to advance through the frames. Help anyone? Check it out here:[URL]
Code:
// JavaScript Document window.onload=initAll; var interval=30; var countSpin = 0;
What I'd like to make is: a button, when rolled over, opens a world map over the page... each continent on the world map is a rollover, and that rollover reveals a list of company locations in that area.
I have a graphic with a rollover for site navigation on each page. I put the page to go back to in the rollover javascript.
My question is, is it possible to put in some code that will refer the visitor back to whatever page they came from rather than one I specify?
The rollover is combined with a tooltip script to make matters fun (below). However, I'm quite happy to lose the tooltip to have the link perform as a back button.
<a href="../index.asp" onmouseover="document.images['link1'].src=img2.src; showtip(this,event,'Back to home page');" onmouseout="document.images['link1'].src=img1.src; hidetip()";><img src="bhome.gif" name="link1" border=0></a>
i have two images which are part of a rollover button that i want to have paused until the intro animation finishes. I have the javascript code but the rollover images are specified in the css. I just have the id to them in the html. I was wondering if anyone knew how to include the rollover files with the pausing javascript code. the files are profile.gif and profileover.gif.
