Mar 2, 2009I have an upload form that is working fine with a submit button, but I really would like it to submit on its own without a submit button onChange when a user selects an image. I have it sending the form with onChange but it is not sending the uploaded file like when you hit the button! It is sending it as "example.jpg" instead of actually sending the file for upload.

How Can I Upload Images From A Basic Client?
Jul 23, 2005I would like to allow a user to browse his local directories, choose an
image (probably .jpeg) file, and upload it to the server (a servlet). The
same functionality that online datiing agencies use to let people save their
photograph with their profiles. (My application is an online Want Ads.)
I feel that this must be possible within a minimal client (without a JVM)
using nothing more than JavaScript, but I'll be damned if I can find how.
Would one of you more experienced JavaScript people please point me in the
right direction.

Make Different Images Hover Over A Table Of Sliced Images When You Mouse Over A Particular Image?
Apr 14, 2011I am trying to make different images hover over a table of sliced images when you mouse over a particular image. ex. mouse over image 1 = have image 1.1 hover over entire table of images in spot A; mouse over image 2 = have image 2.2 hover over entire table of images in spot B....ect. what i have so far only allows me to mouse over image 1 and have image 1.1 hover over entire table in spot A. Any time i try to move forward with more div's on other images it just jacks everything up.

Image Uploader - User To Upload Multiple Images At Once
Mar 20, 2010I have a site which requires the user to upload multiple images at once. Using jQuery I have set it up so that the user can select individuals individually (using the file browser) and then upload them all at the same time bty clicking 'Upload'. However, this is not really good enough...
What I need to happen is that when the user browses their machine to select their images, they are able to select multiple images through CTRL+click. At the minute they can only select one image at a time. How can this be achieved?
As I already have the upload process working perfectly, I would prefer that I was able to keep this intact and simply add some javascript which allowed multiple images to be selected by the file browser at the same time. I would also prefer, if possible, not to use flash.
Make Additional Upload Form Fields Appear?
Sep 3, 2010I have an upload form (which can be seen here: http://kmkwebdevelopment.com/formtest/upload.php). There are currently 5 "upload" fields, and I would like to have it so that if a person requires more "upload" fields, they can click on a + sign or something and it will make 15 more "upload" fields drop down (so they can upload a total of 20 files at a time). Does anyone know a good way to do this? (maybe Javascript somehow)?

Jul 14, 2010I am working on a form inside my administration console to upload images with PHP. In my form I have the following:

The onchange submits the form to a seperate PHP file (sent in the action of the form) dedicated to handling the uploading of the images, while the submit button(not shown in code) will submit the rest of the form through ajax. In order to use 1 file field, Ive read that to get an ajax looking effect I need to use an iframe, so I added the IFrame into the HTML and got the effect working right (without actually uploading the files.)
Now I want to limit the ammount of images to 8. Which is where the hidden field came in. So i've got to figure out a way to count the successful uploads, or add them as we go. At which time that number turns to 8, the script will disable the file field from anymore uploads. Problem is I have no clue where I need to go within my php file to make this happen. Here is my php file with javascript added in:

I would also need a similar central, transparent, scrollable frame/div (where each page will load up within and like the above link,i need a different background image to each page.

I can pass the values of the images across to the page via post but how would I declare the id into img name as the above example is hard coded?
Php - Get EXIF Data Of Post Images In WordPress?
Aug 17, 2010I understand that the EXIF data extracted from uploaded images are stored in the WordPress database, but i am not finding the proper way to find them or get them in a post for instance. I was looking around on web but all solutions found didn't work.Do you know an efficient way to get the EXIF data of a picture from post? I don't mind if is a php or jQuery solution as long it does the job.
EDIT: actually i found the reason for my problem. I managed to call the wp_get_attachment_metadata but except the width and height of image, i receive zero for camera, aperture, ISO, focal lenght, shutter speed etc. The call is something like $imgmeta['image_meta']['camera']
EDIT: Found the issue. server extension php_exif wasn't enabled.
