As in topic. I have dynamic gallery containing just 3 elements:
http://szycha.kylos.pl/test/gal.html
http://szycha.kylos.pl/test/js/gallery.js -script
Problem occures when image is clicked another time(you have to click quick to see the problem) before end of animation. I think that preventing it from being clicked would solve the problem but im not sure.
Code:
$(function() {
$('#gallery img').click(function() {
var zIn=$(this).css('zIndex');[code].....
I have a list of records with link with each record
I have like this table structure:
After that dynamic tr and td are created which list the name of cateogy and its image
<a id is dynamic i want when i click this image link i get the value of which link is clicked
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
View 1 Replies View Relatedone could add a 'start' & 'stop' (id="stopit") button to control the simple sprite animation. My Javascript looks like this (note that it works in tandem with the core.js that comes with the book; see the ZIP file i've attached):
Code:
var Robot =
{
init: function() // initiate via core.js
{
[Code]....
clicking on the 'start' button more than once speeds up the animation, more with each successive click. Clicking the 'stop' button will only finally stop the animation if it's done the same number of times as the 'start' button was clicked.
i have a link the jquery code says when my link is clicked do this animation the problem is that when you click on the link it skips the animation and jumps to the next page. is there a way to make the animation run and when finished then go to the link page that the link anchors to?
click link animate then go to page
$(function() {
$('a').click(function(){
$('#yummy').animate({height: 200, width: 200}, 3000) });
});
I have lead out animation when a link on my navigation is clicked that needs to have time to finish before the link has redirected the browser to the new page!
jQuery('#menu > li > ul').click(function() {
jQuery('.stepcarousel').hide();
jQuery(this).fadeOut(2000);
});
The problem is the browser refreshes to the new page before .stepcarosel has had time to fadeOut making the transition jerky
I have navigational links on my page, but when someone clicks one, i would like an effect to occur, and then the browser to navigate to the link and it usually would.

Lets say I have a function that is going to be called when a link is clicked like so:
<a href="javascript:someFunction();" >Click me</a>
<script type="text/javascript">
function someFunction()

I have a link, say: <a href="http://[URL]../">jQuery site</a> and when it's clicked, I don't want it to redirect me to [URL]..
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using an ajax call when clicked on a link... It asks whether you want to continue or not and if you say "ok" then it uses a perl script to delete something from the db.[code]So I was able to call confirm on each of those links and if agreed use an ajax call to a perl script to wipe the user from database. The thing is that I had to usereturn false; in the end of my js call (after ajax) otherwise the link would take me to the script, which I dont want to. I want to remain at main level (to be able to see all users)... Now how do i refresh the page after such deletion? Lets image this scenario:
User clicks on link_to_delete Brad => confirm => he confirms by clicking ok => ajax call to perl script that handles the deletion of Brad => return false (I want to remain at index.pl) => HOW DO I REALOAD INDEX.pl ? I deleted Brad but I can still see him cause the page has old data.
I have written a very simple test. When I click on a link the page is loaded, then I press the back-button and when I click the link again, the page is loaded BUT then the first page is automatically displayed again. In Google chrome this works fine, but on iPhone 4, HTC WildFire S and HTC Sensation it does not work.
Please try this:
1. Navigate to "[URL]" (==> shows PAGE 1)
2. Just press "login" (form is not implemented) (==> shows PAGE 2)
3. Click on the first item "Click here" (==> shows PAGE 3)
4. Press back-button (==> shows PAGE 2)
5. Click on the first item "Click here" again ( ==> shows PAGE3 BUT then PAGE 2 is automatically shown again)
Hello I need help with double clicked. I have a link

I have a list of divs that each look like this (simplified):
<div id="property1" class="property cms-repeat"> <h4>Property 1 - <span class="location cms-editable">location3</span></h4> <p><span class="download">Request a copy of the full property details <a href="#" title="Request property details" class="request"

I am trying to make a navigation menu that when a link is clicked, loads content into a hidden div, then shows the hidden div, then changed the class of the list item. If the same link is clicked again the class reverts back to what it was before and then the content div becomes hidden.

I'm making a webpage for a little embedded device with a touch screen. I don't want the mouse pointer to be visible until the user clicks on a link in which case the mouse pointer should change to an hour glass until the new page is displayed (the device is rather slow so the user needs to get some feedback while waiting). code...
This properly hides the cursor after the first page is loaded but it doesn't display the hour glass when I click on the link. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
I'd like to use $.post to create php session variables on the fly when a link is clicked, and then let the browser follow the href content.

I have an accordion effect setup on a a nested list. The effect is working great however, I want to retain the menu state (e.g. which section is open) when a user clicks a particular link and the site loads a new page.How do I do this with jQuery?Here is the jQuery I have currently:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('.boxCategories ul > li ul')
.click(function(e){

I want the <a/> in an <li/> to be triggered when the click happens anywhere within the </li>. So given the html...
<ul>
<li><a href="javascript:alert('clicked!')">test</a> <span>some other stuff</span></li>
<li><a href="javascript:alert('clicked!')">test</a> <span>some other

I have several divs that each have a certain link. How can I make sure that when a link is clicked that it will only change elements that are within it's parent div and not the others?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a site with several external links which need to have a link warning dialog when clicked. I am trying to pass the link's href to the modal confirmation so that when a user clicks 'continue' they go on to the new URL--or standard 'cancel'I have this code so far (cobbled together from a few sources--I AM A NOT A PROGRAMMER!!!!), but the dialog is not triggering (links just go to new URL without dialog popping up) (linking to Google API version of jQuery):

I have working code to Show/Hide content when clicked on link of particular section:
var showText="Show content FAQ1";
var hideText="Hide content FAQ1";
1. How to do link on particular Title and show this description like Description1, Description2 etc.
2. How to open some sections in advance inside Javascript?
Working code is the following using Jquery jqueryV1.4.4:
PHP Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN"

I'm creating a list of items which visually look like checkboxes. They will work similar to the ones used on eBay that allow you to select only new/used items. Mine are a little simpler though. Here is the markup:
<li>
<a href="#" class="catHeader trigger">Designers</a>
<ul class="nav-ul toggle_comtainer">

In a nutshell, I need to set add/remove a class called 'active' to/from a link that is clicked within a DIV. So if the link has the class 'active' already assigned I need to remove it and vice versa however the issue I am having is that I have to double click the link in order for it to work!!
I'm having trouble getting a selector working. Probably best just to give you some example code:
HTML
<input type='button' class='test' value='Button Name'>
<div>
<a href='' class='buttonLink' />Click me</a>
</div>
Jquery
$(.buttonLink).click(function() { $(this).closest(':button.test').addClass('testclass'); });
Form that code I would expect the class of 'testclass' to be applied to the button after the link is clicked, but It doesn't seem to work. This is a somewhat contrived example. In my real application I have a form with several collapsable/expandable sections. If the fields in those form sections have values when the page loads, the section needs to be expanded, and the expand/collapse button needs to have a class of 'expaned' applied to it, if not it needs to be hidden. I can check the form fields and show the div if needed without any problem, but I can't seem to figure out how to work out the selector so I can add the class to the button.
I am building a web application using PHP. It lists each salesperson and below it, the clients assigned to them. There are only about 5 or 6 salespeople. There could be any number of clients for a salesperson. Each salesperson is given their own div and client information (name, email, phone) is grouped with an unordered list:
Code:
<div id="salesperson-1">
<h1>Salesperson 1</h1>
<ul>
<li>Steve Smith</li>
<li>steve@company-a.com</li>
<li>555-5555</li>
<li><a href="#">Delete Client</a></li>
</ul>
<a href="#">Delete Salesperson</a>
</div>
I would like to be able to delete (actually hide) either a salesperson or client depending on which link the user clicked. I have been using JQuery throughout my site so far and I can accomplish the task for the salespeople by creating individual events for 6 salespeople. If there are only 5 people, the 6th event will never be triggered. If there are 6, everyone is covered. The tricky part are the clients since I can't guarantee a specific number of them. I would like to fit best practices as much as possible and reduce the complexity of my code if I can. Keeping that in mind...Is there a better way to handle the salespeople rather than rewriting the function 6 times? Can I pass a variable to a JQuery function using the onClick binder on the <a> tag --> <a href="#" onClick=deleteClient(10)> and use the variable to determine which client to delete? Would using a function in plain javascript and ignoring JQuery for this entirely be better?
