JQuery :: Use Callback To Apply Them On Newly Cloned Objects?

I am using quicksand, i want to use tool tips in it, but i am facing problem due to callback code that i am not able to implement, this is the place where quicksand is present and also told about tooltips usage with it, well he has not explained it in detail as expects people to know jquery before using it. http:razorjack.net...-and-demos.html
the code which is saying to use is this [code]...
i don't know where to place this code and how as i don't know jquery, and if this code is to be place in tooltips script then where to place in it and how, e-g i might use this one[code]...
then in this code where to put the above code.
If its not possible with the above tooltip then i am ready to use any tooltip which can display picture in it.
element = document.getElementById(IdOfElement) element = element.cloneNode(true) new_element = document.getElementById(IdOfElement).appendChild(e lement)
Anybody knows how to set id for the new element ? I mean the id which I coud use in CSS stylesheet for setting css properties of new element.
I am trying to convert some of my javascripts into a class and am running into difficulties which i think are related to variable scope.
Basically I have a constructor function for a calendarInput class that takes 4 parameters, the first is a reference name/number for this input. I also have some functions for importing my PHP classes into Javascript using AJAX (properties only. still trying to get methods working but that's another story!). The relevant function is called call_object_method(classname, methodname, createparams, methodparams, post, callbackfunction). This creates an instance of the specified PHP class using the parameters in createparams. It then calls the specified method using the parameters in methodparams. The result is passed back to the javascript function specified in the callbackfunction parameter (ie the value of xmlhttp.onreadystatechange is set to callbackfunction before xmlhttp.send() is called)
The function i am trying to fix is called show (x,y) which creates the html for the calendarInput and displays it at co-ordinates x, y.
this.showcallback = function() { alert(this); <!--//code to create html//--> }
}
I know i've cut out most of the innards of this. This is because I have already tested these functions and had the calendarInput working outside of a class, hence am pretty sure that this is ok (plus it runs to almost 1000 lines these days!!). My problem is that when I call the show method, the alert on the first line of the callback function returns the function showcallback instead of (as i was expecting) the instance of the calendarInput object. Whilst this kinda makes sense I can't figure out how to reference the Object instead. I have tried 'this.parent' but this returned undefined. I have tried changing the way i reference the callback function (ie the final parameter of call_object_method) but no joy.
I have a toggle animation which puts the area I want to show to the user in view, ones that animation has played I want to animate several other objects on the page. I have the code to animate one object by using the callback function in animate. But is it possible to animate several objects in the callback function?. this is the code I have so far
I use the getJSON request to fill a select (with cities names) after the user have choosen his region.
I paste some code:
The problem is that callback is never called. I used firebug and i have seen that when i change region the getJSON function is called and my script (python) return this JSON:
Why my callback is not called? I can't even get the alert ('callback time!'). I thinked that my json could be broken, but firebug net console read and parse it very well, so i think is valid JSON.
I also tried to split up the function declaration from the getJSON request, but it's no use.
I am trying to add a tooltip to an element (based on vertigo-[URL]... Normally, works fine, except when I clone an element which has a tooltip in it and append it to another element, the title disappears after the first time it is hovered over. Code is below, and a live example is here.
I would expect it to show "2" but instead it shows "0". Why?
It seems the find() method doesn't work on the newly created elements. Do traversing methods only work on elements that are actually in the document? If so, how can I traverse and manipulate freshly created elements prior to inserting them into the dom?
Jquery 1.52, IE7,IE8,FireFox4.0. I really confused for this: HTML as follows: <table><tr><td> </td></tr></table> javascript as follows: $("table tr").append("<td>> </td>"); $("table td").mouseover(function)({ alert($(this).index()); }); When mouseover the first "td", it OK, but mouseover the newly added "td", nothing happened.
Below code is in html <div id="firstdiv"> <input type="text" class="cal"/> </div><input type="button"/>
Below is in head tag $(function() { $('.cal').datetimepicker(); });
Following in .js file $(document).ready( function(){ /* here goes the code for div clone*/ $addTripBtn.click( function(){ var $firstCal = $copydiv.find(':text'); $($firstCal).bind('click', function() { $('.cal').datetimepicker();//$('$firstCal').datetimepicker(); });
I have textboxes in div wherein onclick I get a calender popup. Now I have to repeat this div on button click for which I used clone() method. Repeating div content is working fine but when I click cloned textbox for calender it is not working.
Its adding a new row with all child elements but i am unable to assign unique ID's. I'd like increment ID by one or append existing id with some unique number.
Also when i refresh page all loaded elements gets removed. Is there a way so that these newly added rows,Td, text boxes and select stays even when page is refreshed.
I have two functions show after the message. The first works fine. When a checkbox is clicked with the class availableProfile, its class is removed, selectedProfile added. It is then appended to anotehr list and destroyed in the original. However when i click the now moved checkbox it doesn't recognize it has the new class of selectedProfile.
I have a button and a table that I want to clone when "Add new" button is pressed, and then append the cloned elements to the "items" container, but with updated id's and names - the update is done by appending the value of "num" attribute of "items". In the end I'll have to clone and update the id's and names for multiple input elements in the table found in the "default_container" - but right now it doesn't work even for direct children. The problem (one of them at least) right now is that the iteration over the children isn't performed.
I am just now starting to use the jquery clone and validation features and I'm having a little issue.I am using relCopy plugin to clone the elements and the jquery.validate.js plugin to validate that they are not empty.
The javascript is as follows:
<!--script to make clones of fields--> <script type="text/javascript"> $(function(){ var removeLink = ' <a class="remove" href="#"
[Code]....
Only the original select and text field are getting validated, the form submits even if a cloned element is not filled in.
I dynamically generated some buttons, textboxes, radio (input types) etc using createElement method. The generation works fine. I append the newly generated input types to a span placed in the body. I want to make these draggable. I tried several ways of making the inputs draggable but none work. How do I make them draggable?
There must be a standard way of getting the body of an iframe, and adding content to it, using jQuery. what the "best practice" way is? That works in all browsers?
I want to load new content into a container using .load ('content.html') after the user clicks on a menu item. and in the new content is a form and i encountered 2 problems. first is that the new content don't comply to my loaded css? the fonts sizes are off and the content seem unformated. second is that i cannot access the data in the new content in jQuery. code...
I can't make jQuery methods (html, hide etc.) work properly on newly added elements (added via ajax). It's fine with the the current elements of the page but doesn't work on new ones! I am new to jQuery.
When I create a new div and insert it with .append(ndiv) to an existing div ndiv.width() returns the width of the parent div instead of the actual value. This is the same in FF4 and IE9 so I suppose this is a regular behavior and I just don't realize how to deal with it.
