Im trying to use JavaScript to submit this form. Why doesn't this code work anymore? It worked before and now it won't?
JQuery Code
HTML Code
I am trying to hide this code:
HTML Code:
using this code
HTML Code:
This works fine when I place this code under the html in the main source, but if I try to add this Jquery code to an external js sheet it doesnt seem to work?
Currently my js sheet is called in the header, when I move this link to the footer of my page the code works again, so Im guessing this has something to do with where the jquery code is placed in relation to the code Im trying to hide?
How I can keep my js in the header but still make the content disappear on click?
This is a ? about Ajax, PHP and form processing. When I submit the form further below, nothing happens I didnt set the form-"action" to anything. I left it out, to make the form submit to the same page, so I can validate on the same page too (Which is not made yet, as youll see. The form does work fine when I used in a "normal php script", but when I include it using Ajax, the form doesnt submit after it has been sent to the page.
Anyone knows what is going on, and what I can do to make it work? I guess it must be the action attribute of the form which is wrong, but I dont understand that since i made the form submit to itself, by leaving out the action attribute entirely.
I have two links on a page, which calls a javascript function, opening a xmlhttprequest: I have only shown one of the forms, as they are almost similar, but there are two forms, in the real page, which displays depending on the link selected.

I built a small website which has a confirmButton on it. When you click the confirmButton a dialog will appear which asks you to confirm or to cancel.
The problem is that after you click 'Yes' on the dialog (executes postback) the jquery-click-event on the confirmButton doesn't work anymore.
Below you can see my whole website.
I'm trying to make a web page using javascript for validation, but after the last 2 functions I wrote, 2 functions don't work anymore. I attached the file so you can see for yourself. And I know there are a few things I could do to the html, but I'm saving those for last. why the scripts don't work .(the functions that don't work are: "cont_pag1" and "cont_pag2"...btw...they worked just fine until I wrote the last few functions (the ones for the pag4 div)).

$("#myelement").animate({zIndex: 10})
.animate({opacity: 1), 1000);
Opacity is affected but not zIndex. I can change zIndex the normal way though:
$("#myelement").css('zIndex', '10');

I have this jquery code that for a normal browser allows you to have a sticky header. So by default it shows the content of the header wherever you want then as you scroll that header will then stay with you as you scroll. The problem is it doesnt work for an iPad. Can someone look at the code and see if there is something I can change to make this work on an iPad?
Code:
// Fixed control bar
var controlBar = $('#control-bar');
if (controlBar.length > 0)[code]......
I have an Ajax post that gets 100 records. That runs a callback function called Update(data.d) that loops through and populates a Div container with these records each in their own Div with numbered IDs. (It also removes old Divs so that there are never more than 100 n the container. During this loop I register the click event for each <a> called'Like':
$("#" + items.id + " .vLike").click(function () {
if (this.innerHTML == "Processing') return;
SendLike(items.id);

I'm setting position left to 100% and it works except in Chrome/safari. These browsers set it about 100px from the left not 100%obj.css('left', '100%');Setting the css by itself <img src="" style="left:100%;position:absolute" works fine.I don't know if this is a browser problem or a jquery problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with the submit() method that is driving me nuts. I'm using document.form.submit() with large text fields (approx. 2000 characters) and am getting a "Invalid Syntax" error. If I do the same thing with a text field of under 1500 characters, it works fine.
Is there some size limit here that I don't know about?
I downloaded jquery today in the hopes it would speed up my development. but its not working at all.
Ive tried including it as an external js and ive tried it directly on the page. regularjavascript works but not jquery. im using wampserver with short tags turned on.
I would post some code but my special keys do not work in this form for some reason. but i can assure u i have triple checked all the code against many different sources and its correct.
like i said regular javascript works fine but jquery code will not. any ideas on what i should check/try?
I have a form with two basic radio buttons to confirm deleting a record from a database. But I also want to add an extra popup box to confirm a second time, just to be 100% sure this record should be removed from the database.
I followed a few articles I found from Google to get the code, but I have no expierence with JavaScript.I get a popup box when I click the button but it doesn't do anything. When the user clicks cancel on the popup box, I want nothing to happen at all. But when they click "Continue" I want the popup box to submit the form in its current state.
There is a lot of PHP and I'm not sure that I can even post all of it here, but this is the rendered page, so I think that is all that will be needed?Its ok the customer data is displayed on this code, its a sample database to test. The data isn't real.
HTML Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head">
[code]....
To be clear:
1. The user presses DELETE on another page, and is directed to the delete_confirm.php
2. The customer information is displayed in a form.
3. The message is shown "Do you want to delete this record".
4. The user selects the "Yes" radio button and submits the form.
5. One additional security the user gets a popup box "ARE YOU REALLY SURE?"
6a. The user clicks "Continue" and the page is submitted. (PHP will handle accessing MySQL)
6b. The user clicks "Cancel" and nothing happens. They just stay on the delete_confirm.php page.
The form works fine with the submit button, but I wanted to add just one popup box as extra security.
I use a basic pop-up window code that i have used for many years.I probably need to update it, but i was wondering why it will work for every browser but IE8.
