Why does the .stop() need to be in there and why is it located before the .animate() command, it has nothing in regards to the .stop() in the .animate() documentation...Im just a few days into jQuery and want to make sure I understand everything.
I'm using the color animatepluginto animate some colors.I'm animating the width on hover and using .stop() before each animation.when i click my paragraph it animates the color of the div back and forth with a callback function to reset the background color in case .stop() freezes the color. But the callback function is not called.try it here:[URL]Now I want to always call the callback function.
View 3 Replies View Related am new to javascript and indeed jquery but I have muddled a page together here but want to stop the left and right links at the bottom animating over my "contents" div's bounds so it doesn't slide past the edges of my div either way. Can i do this or am i barking up the wrong tree? Hopefully you will understand, I don't know if i am explaining myself correctly, but if you have a look at the page and press "Right" twice you will see what i mean, I don't want it to go any further than the end (red) or indeed further past than the start (green).

I have a toggle animation which puts the area I want to show to the user in view, ones that animation has played I want to animate several other objects on the page. I have the code to animate one object by using the callback function in animate. But is it possible to animate several objects in the callback function?. this is the code I have so far

I trying to use a jquery file that I was able to download for free from the internet. Everything is working accept that I can't get the arrow image to appear in my browser. It's still in developpement, but you can see the result : www.ohnewgarden.fr My problem : When you are at the very right, the animate effect reset my left property before animating. Which is weird is that this "reset" is applied only to two layers, without any sense. I'm going crazy !
So if someone could help me, it will be very nice ! It's probably my code which is wrong, but I can't see the mistake.

I said for my defense, I have tried to remove .stop(), tried to change parameters of .stop(), tried to reset (like there) the left property with a .css() method, and I have also tried to animate with "+=" (like there), but nothing works. If you follow to the link I gave, you could see very easily by clicking on "Contact" and after animation by clicking on "Accueil".
Can DIV located in the MasterPage be resized depending on the screen resolution?

I've made a basic website template, which I'm still working on, but I'd like to make it compatible with IE before I go any further.
I'm having trouble with the drop down menu that is located in the top right section on the site...in the banner.
It seems to work fine in FireFox (which is what I've built it for), Safari, and Chrome, but it will not work in Internet Explorer. Problem is....it doesn't hide the links, or "il" section. I was able to get it to do so, but then it would not let you select any of them...they would disappear as soon as you moved your mouse off of the top section, or "ul" i believe it's called.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a div that has a negative top margin and a negative right margin. The right margin is because I want to have the div slide onto the page from the right. The top margin is because without it my page height is the height of the visible elements plus the height of the off-screen div.On a button click, I move the div down and then animate it onto the screen from the right. On button click again, I animate the div to the right, off the screen, and then move it up. I also toggle its width & padding so it will appear to grow/shrink as it moves on/off screen. At least that's what I am trying to do. The animation onto the screen looks good, but going off the screen, it appears to happen intantaneously, instead of animatedDoes anyone know how I can fix this?

Is it possible to extract information which is located in a predefined area on the screen from a java platform?
For example, there is java based platform which I can see on my screen.
This platform contains numbers/letters.
The location of these numbers/letters does not change, i.e. the script would not need to be adjusted if the field, which contains the info, would move.
Lets assume the screen would look like that:
The info between the fields would be clearly separated.
Now I would like to extract the infos from all the fields and paste the info for example in EXCEL so that I can see "Valerie12345" in .xls field A1 / 12.20 in A2 / Love in B1 etc...if that is possible to extract?

I am trying to create some divs that hide and show when a link is clicked. There may be multiples on the same page and it each needs to functionindependently.

When the user clicks a show more link the first time nothing happens. If you do it again the div expands as planned (great!). If you do it again to close it slides back up but then bounces straight down again (Not Great!). I can't figure out what I've done wrong!. Eventually I'm going to add more functions to show some hidden data as well.

I'm trying to make my body content scroll at the same time as an iframe located within the body. This has to do with the age old problem of mouse focus on iframes. When my mouse reaches the iframe and it takes over focus, I would like the body to keep scrolling until the iframe is right at the top of the screen. After that I want to relinquish focus to the iframe. I don't mind if the iframe starts scrolling as soon as the mouse reaches it, so long as the main body keeps scrolling for a while.
