JQuery :: Remove ".fn.height" In Old Code ?

I had to maintain older javascript code with some jQuery addons / plugins (I guess also old ones).
Today I found this:
I looked into the api documentation I found some days ago also ".height()"
As I understood that code like this: "jQuery.fn.height" will overwrite the current "height" methode in jQuery.
Is this right? And why the code in line 1 (see above).
I want to remove old javascript code, and also the code above. I found similar code snippets where all the jQuery function on this page [url] will be overridden. And also for "scrollLeft", "scrollTop", "offset".
The incode documentation in the old js-code says also something about "Plugins/Dimensions".
Can I remove the code, because it is old code for a jQuery version where the "height" is not implemented?

I am a novice, almost to an intermediate-level JavaScript guy, so much of this is new to me. I appreciate your patience reading this.
I have a routine that creates some HTML on the fly (updateFilters() function) and after the HTML is created, I attempt to access some fields (elements) on the form itself.
I works fine if I place an alert() statement after the HTML is created, but when I remove, the code errors out.
I have tried the setTimeout() statement, but I cannot grab the element --- undefined or null is returned. It seems that the form is the only element I can get a handle on --- everything else is undefined or null...

I am working on outlet pages of an online store.There are 4 products displayed on each row.On that store, products are displayed with images,product name, model no., price and buttons.For some products, the name is longer, for some price is longer.I am using <td> for displaying each information.The problem is - the height of the name's <td> and price's <td> are different for different products.I want a JS code which can detect the biggest height (for each row separately) from both the above td's separately and assign the maximum height to the corresponding 3 td's of that row.This should be done for each row separately.note : I an right now using this code - But it takes the height of both td's for 1st product only and assign it to all the products.

I have a iframe element which currently has a small amount of javascript that handles the scrolltop and I am trying to add a variable to that which controls the height of the iframe based on the source height. I do not want to set the height of the iframe in CSS because if I use this same method for other iframes and the source height is not the same it will not work.The page with the iframe is here (click on the link on the top of the page to load the iframe):

Again, what I need is for the iframe to get the document height from the page that will load into the iframe and then have the iframe height be that exact size. As you can see once you click on the link it is much shorter than the page I am using to load into the iframe.I do not know javascript enough to figure it out and have spent a couple days looking all over the internet and have yet to find something I can incorporate into the javascript I already have.

I have a DIV menu bar that I want to stretch 100% in height. It worked perfectly fine until I added the XHTML doctype. So I tried absolute positioning which worked but then my other divs started overlapping them.So I want to know if there is any javascript code to make my menu bar stretch vertically. how to adjust the iframe height by itself if my html height increases. My html code includes a facebook comment at the bottom of my page and the comment will show making it expand the height once users post comments. On the other hand, I'm using a CMS that have its own iframe. I've tried many solutions that can be found on the web but none works. It only can work if I don't put in CMS. This is my first time using JQuery, and verrry slowely i'm starting to get the hang of it :)

I am trying to make a gui for clients to edit a php page that displays html and javascript.
I want the user to be able to move html elements around and even edit it like add effects like fade in and out etc.
Then after all the changes I want to overwrite the existing php file that does this for that user. how can you make such changes and then save it to a file?
It's an html / javascript editor but using a gui instead of allowing them to directly touch the code. It would be a security risk if I allow such a thing. So I need to program a interface that would make such changes and save them to file.
Like how can you delete and add new javascript code to the file?

Currently my js sheet is called in the header, when I move this link to the footer of my page the code works again, so Im guessing this has something to do with where the jquery code is placed in relation to the code Im trying to hide?
