I'm really new to jquery and working with json altogether so please bear with me here. To fully see my problem here, you may have to log into [URL].. Basically, I'm trying to grab character data from the battlelog. I can go to the url in my browser and I can see the json data, but $.getJSON always fails for me. Here's some sample code that I've been trying:

The problem is that .css treats snip[1] as a string but I need it to handle it as a json array.
Bad: .css
Good: .css
I have a html file that I want to load, loop through the json data and for each json entry I want to add a new block of the html and insert the json data into the matching div/class of the html. json looks like this:
{"Super" : [{"Name" : "John Doe", "Age" : "30"}, {"Name" : "Jane Doe", "Age" : "40"}]};
html looks like this:
<div class="Name"></div><div class="Age"></div>
So for each json entry of name/age, I want to insert that into the html, and then add another row, until all json data has been fetched. After this I want to insert all of this into #box, which is just a divthat should contain that html. Looping like this obviously does not work, since I just keep replacing the same html through the loop.

I have a JSON structure in API.When I call the API in my code it returns as the same JSON .I have to print this JSON result as table with pagination in Javascript. The table should be dynamic with previous and next buttons and the table should populate the results according to the JSON and each page should have 20 entries and then the remaining entries should go on the next page and I should be able to go back and forth in the table using previous and next respectively.tell me the exact code of how to start with getting JSON from the API and then write the JSON data in the form of dynamic table with pagination.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI create a cookie which contains a font size. My page content increases or decreases in size on each click event of the links that trigger a function. I have round this value up so it is always an integer value and store it inside a cookie called 'fontSize'.
I am using the following code to set the font size of the page that is loaded to be set at the value of the cookie but it never works, my page font size always reverts back to the standard font size set in my style sheet.
I am using the same code below to change the background colour of the web page and this works fine!

I think this is just me being dim - but would value someone pointing out what I am doing wrong. I have a form, I want to pass the values from this form to another page via a .get call. Here is a short version of the form data:

My problem is that whatever the status of the checkbox "subscribe" it is always passed in the .get call as having the value "on". What do I need to do to pass the actual value of the checkbox in the call?

I have an array of textboxes each having button on right side which when pressed the text should be displayed on new window using Jquery. For demo, you might have seen jquery lightbox plugin which shows the images in the new window. I want exactly same but instead of images i want to show the text value of the text box when its button is pressed.
You also see this when you sign in on daniweb.com, you see a new small window when "sign in" button is pressed.
I'm trying to read (and then change) the text on two buttons in my
user interface:

I have the below code to calculate how tall a 3rd div needs to be. This code works except for one flaw. It always seems to read the previous .top and .height() values.As .annoucement-area-880 and .content-annoucement-bottom-880 are dynamic (two different types of accordions) they resize depending on what element gets clicked.One uses the .animate() method while the other .slideDown().I tried enclosing the below within a $(document).ready(function(){...}); but this doesn't help.In conclusion, below code works fine except it reports previous (aka old) values which in effect cause it to calculate an currently invalid height.

That's a html file. Because of forbidden uploads of html files i removed the file extension. So put after download the file extension ".html" on it and take a look at the sourcecode.
The goal is to parse the included xml structure and to show the some information as tabs with a title. Unfortunately I need to run that in IE& or to day in quirks document mode cause my application just runs on that. <press F12 in IE and set document mode to quirks>
check the alerts:
alert('ID: ' + $(this).attr('id')); works fine but not this: alert('ATTR: ' + $(this).children('title').first().text());
Perhaps there is something wrong with $(this).children('title').first().text(); or i have no child nodes in my object. normally I use find() to get rid of that but i saw somewhere that filter() is possible for older ie versions.

The problem is every example, I find that it will work in IE but not Firefox
or visa versa, could someone please point me to a how to that will work with
both browsers. I just spent two weeks reading the Microsoft Press Book "XML
Step by Step", only to find out that the technology only works with IE.
