View 1 RepliesThis is my actual code:
var sub_listings_url = "index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats" + " #sub_listings > *";
var pagination1_url = "index.php?option=com_mtree&task=listcats"+ " .#pagination1 > *";

Would it be possible to fill #sub_listings and #pagination1 with only one .load?
Im currently working on a project with jquery... the thing is.. i need to change the contents of a div named "sub2" with the contents of "pets.html"... i've read some tutorials and i thought the best way to do this is through the use of jquery...
Here's my code:
My image which is supposed to be clicked contains this:
The code is working ., but when i transfer my codes to netbeans with Tomcat running the code didnt work ...
Is there anyone here who knows what's wrong or what should i do with my code?
I've almost finished employing the jQuery Accordian and Tabs UI functions on a website, but still have one remaining problem.I have a page using the UI tabs. When the page first loads the content of all the tabs flashes for a second or two and then the selected tab is displayed. After that the tabs work great with smooth transitions as expected.
The tabs on page load are filled with php include calls. Then I use ajax to refill the tabs base upon the users selections. That works fine without the load flashing of all tab contents. I did try switching all the php includes to jQuery ajax. The resulting page had the same problem with the content of all tabs flashing before the selected tab displayed.Here's some of my code:In the head:
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
$("#tabs").tabs({ fx: { opacity: 'toggle', selected: 0}});[code]....
Is my code the problem or is there something I'm leaving out that would hide the copy of the tabs loading until the document is ready and selects the first tab (index 0)?
I am trying to get contents of a page into a popup div when user clicks on the View sample plan link in the table with the id='plans' below.
I will change the contents of junk.php once I can get it working.
How can I submit the contents of my form? This code submits NO data. I want to submit the data in my form. I want the values of my form to be submitted.

I have a problem when trying to load an HTML5 element with Ajax (jQuery.load ()).Here is a simplified example of the problem.
Main page :

<title>Title</title>
<!--[if lt IE 9]>

I've tried searching for this under the forums — and maybe it's because I just am using the wrong terms — but I cannot find any answers around this. Here's the skinny:
I've got a listener for click events from links in DIV #1 in the loaded document, and when a user clicks on one of those links, it passes a value to a .get() function and runs a simple AJAX call and dumps the data/html results into DIV #2.
After that click event, DIV #2 has a bunch of links in it, and I'm trying to traverse that dynamically assembled list and perform another .get() function based upon whatever link they click in DIV #2.
Based on the parameter passed from the link in the dynamically assembled DIV #2 box, it would run the .get() function and fill DIV #3 with the data/html results from that second AJAX call. The problem is that I can't seem to detect any sort of click event from the contents of DIV #2 aside from clicking on DIV #2 itself. I've tried the usual .children() to try and traverse down to where the inserted links would be, but that's not working (e.g.: $("#div2").children("a").click(); ). I've also tried .find(), filter() and .has() but it doesn't respond, as if there was nothing there.
Here's the code I'm working with:
<div id="album_row">
<a href="#" rel="1">Album 1</a>
<a href="#" rel="2'>Album 2</a>
</div>
[Code].....
I have a feeling it's something simple that I'm missing here; but I've no clue what I'm doing wrong. It seems that you should be able to traverse the DOM, even when you're essentially building it dynamically based upon a user's selection or an event within the DOM.
what I should be using to use to detect click() events from dynamically assembled elements? I know exactly what DIV they'll be sent to, I just can't seem to traverse anything with them when I'm dynamically inserting HTML into them.
I have the following code to load some pages into a div using the load function. When I click one of the links though, nothing happens. I have read a couple of books on JQuery and looking at the examples they give, this looks correct so I am at a loss.

I want to have this feature implemented in my application. That is: I have 2 frames in one HTML page. In frame1, there is a Button. In frame2, there is a Textbox. Now, if I click on the button in frame1, then the textbox in frame2 should load some text and again if I click on the same button, the content in the textbox should get clear. How to go with it?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI am trying to develop this expanding content as you can see here:
http:[url]....
You see when you click on the title, any text below it will slide down and reveal more content, with nice fade-in. Everything works well for me except that when the page is loading, you can see all the hidden contents before they hide themselves. This content should always be hidden.
I have some sample ajax code i have been toying around with.I have it updating & working properly, but you have to click a button first.How can I set it so that it automatically reads the contents of the text file on page load, and updates every 1000ms?I was trying onload=setinterval(JavaScript:xmlhttpPost("status.php"),1000)[code]
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a parent page say index.html on which I have a div. Now, I want to load some content from the child page (external page) say inner.html into the div on parent page. As far as I have worked on it I found that I can do this via ajax using "obj.responseText" but I am not hitting the right point.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm tring to do an AJAX call using a submit button. I need to submit the contents of a textfield to a PHP page.It is working on a <select> tag using the <option> tags to send the contents of the <option> tag to the outside PHP file, but I can't get the syntax right to send the contents of the textfield.

Currently, I have a php form with various inputs, and a div where I am embedding an (initially) empty open flash chart object.Right now, I am calling a php file on the submit of the form, which takes the form data, calls a python script to process the form data, and then creates an open flash chart object using the data the python script returns.There are a few problems with this:
1. When the submit on the form is called, it goes to a different page where the chart is displayed, when I would really just like to update the contents of the chart div where I initially embedded the empty chart.
2. The processing of the form in the python code can take some time, so what I would really like is to have the chart "check" the output of the python script periodically and update the chart each time, adding the new data points to the old ones.
I know I can do all of these things with javascript and Ajax, I just can't seem to find any tutorials or examples that are exactly what I am looking for.
I want to load an html div in a variable, modify it in another variable; and then change the document injecting the contents.
1. I load the html to be changed in a variable (code)
2. I modify an attribute of <param> using attr() and I put the result in a var (newcode)
3. I change the html in the doc
I've used the debugger, and all steps give the expected results, except of newcode.html(), which is a null string. Why?

I'm loading some page content with the ajax load event. The loaded content contains some <script> function calls. These appear to get evaluated, but the script ( a google map ) doesn't perform as expected.
Is the inline function run with the code on its page, or with the scripts on the page I'm loading it into?
I load content to div using ajax. In that new loaded content are anchors which make another ajax requests, but they don't work. I suppose that it's caused by $(document).ready();
For example:
Anchor with class '.dokosika' in loaded content doesn't work as I want to...
In the gallery of my site, I have problems with the gallery, because I cannot upload images via Ajax. The site is [URL].

I have the following HTML code:
<div id='ad_fulldiv'>
//Some text and images
<div id='ad_content''>
require_once('/include/adcontent.inc.php');
</div>
</div>
I have also a Jquery code with Ajax request. In the file adcontent.inc.php there is a switch loop which echoes random content what depends on the content in a database. After the user clicks on a button a Ajax request is called which updates the database. After success the div ad_content should fadeout en should be reloaded with adcontent.inc.php. It should have other content now, because the Database is updates.
But how can I reload the div? I think the load option doesnt work.
I am having trouble with jumping into ajax. My old application is all php and I was trying to switch it to ajax for the users who have javascript so there is less page refreshing but also to keep the links working for those who don't or don't want the change. Here is a test files I've been working with:
Code HTML4Strict:
<html>
<head><script src="[URL]" type="text/javascript"></script></head>
<body>
<div>
<div id="content">
<script type="text/javascript">
$('h1').live('click', function(){ alert('I clicked H1');});
</script>
<h1>Can you see me now?</h1>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Loaded just like that everything works fine. However, when loaded via ajax from this file:
(jQuery is loaded above this and this is all in <head>)
Code HTML4Strict:
$(document).ready(function(){
$.ajax({
url: thisurl,
success: function(html){
var stuff = $("#content", html);
$("#main").empty();
$("#main").append(stuff);
},
error: function() {
alert("AJAX ERROR");
}
});
Everything is closed properly, etc. even if it doesn't show here, this is just an excerpt. This url is a variable that pulls the href field from my hijax script. So, for the ajax call, I just want the stuff in the content div, and not the whole page. If I take off the #content I get the whole page and all the javascript works. Like this, with the #content, the javascript doesn't run and doesn't appear to load into the DOM.
i want to load my entire front page with jquery, after a button is hit. Something like redirect to front-page.
I've already got the handler on the button, that executes document.location.href = '/index.php' Its working, but i'd like to make its behave like(pseudocode): $.ajax('/index.php') or: $.load('/index.php')
Is that possible, and if it is, how can i do that?
This script (below) is firing at page load. how not to get it to fire until and event happens.
$(document).ready(function () {

$('#PowerPipeConfigurations').change(function(){ getResults

We have a page that allows a user to load a form over ajax using jQuery 1.3.2. The form contains a simple table layout, some input boxes, tinymce and the initialize for a jQueryUI dialog. On first load everything works fine. If the user loads the same form again, without refreshing the browser window, TinyMCE no longer shows content, can’t be clicked inside of and the dialog no longer updates it’s content and a few other bits of js stop firing.
Now I thought this was an issue with the page and ajax, but we have another page that uses draggable elements and has a very simple form of 1 input and a submit. If you submit the form and get returned the same page by our validation the same thing happens as with tinymce, you can no longer click inside it.
In ie7 things dont stop responding so much but the browser slows down and almost stops responding.
Whenever I try to join variables I get results for first item (CustNum) only...PartNum returns as 'undefined'.
$(document).ready(function() {
$(".mybutton").click(function(event) {
$("#myDiv").load("Test.asp?CustNum="+ $('#CustNum').val() +"&PartNum="
+ $('#PartNum').val());
});
});
