Jun 12, 2010Let's say I have this paragraph..<p>My dog is brown.</p I would like to accomplish this.. <p>My <span class="animal">dog</span> is brown.</p> So, I want to use JavaScript to find all "dog" strings inside the paragraph and wrap them in a SPAN element of a given class. I would love to have a plug-in that does that... like this: $("p").findAndWrap("dog", "<span class='animal' />"); I know this can be done in JS, but I'm not particularlyexperiencedin JS string manipulation, so it would take a while until I would accomplish this...Is there a plug-in that does this?

Sep 8, 2010I have a php script that lists some items which can be checked or unchecked. Now, I am trying to make a javascript that writes a comment field in a certain "span" - comm_'.$i.', where $i starts from 0 - if the check box is already checked (info retrieved from the database) or if the user checks the check box (when the user unchecks the check box the comment field should disappear). The problem is that I am unable to make it work properly (when I check or uncheck a box it doesn't work at all), I mean it only works for the element above, so if box_1 is checked it can only create the comment field in comm_0.

My problem is, that, when I move the cursor over the SPAN element, the onmouseout event for TD element is fired. I want to prevent this. That's nice, but how do I post that value so I can use it in (like the other form elements) in my form. I rather get it in a textbox. JQuery :: Buttonset() Span Not Working Properly With IE7?
Jul 19, 2011I'm using the lastest version of jquery and I themed a list of checkbox with it. Im IE7 every time a user clicks on the buttonset span(which is pretty much the whole button as far as the users are concerned) the page gets scrolled up about 600pixels up.
This is really not a good thing, especially since those radios are located pretty far down a page with a scrolling bar, can you image the users who want to select 60 options? Having to scroll back down every time? How do I stop this infernal Jquery behavior? I literally use nothing else but this to these my radios:

May 13, 2009I need to append multiple spans to the line items in an unordered list. Essentially, each line item contains a <span> and I need to grab the content of that span and append it to the bottom of the line item it's contained in. Here's what I have so far: My jquery code:
