When dialog pops up and when I want to select date from datepicker but clicking on input datepicker is under dialog. What option make it to be on top ?
I have successfully implemented the Datepicker plugin but am having very difficult problems with the image alignment of the calender icon.
The icon seems to have no padding/margin/spacing between the input box and the image, and is also not aligned correctly.
I have viewed the documentation but can see no reference on how formatting is achieved.. I looked at jquery-ui css (redmond) and can see no reference to how this is aligned.
i am trying to create some markers on an image to point some options. I would like to emulate the same shape as google marker balloon, but i dont know if its possible to create using just css and javascript or not.
i have created a function which creates a rectangular div on the image when we click on the image. but i want its shape to be like a water drop, as it is much more better to see and figure out what it is pointing to.
I am creating a grid of thumbnails. When a user hovers over a thumbnail, the image enlarges. The *trick* is, I want the "active area" to only be the size of the thumbnail. That is, the thumbnails are 180x120, and when the mouse leaves that area, I want the large image to shrink back to normal size.
I have a working demo here:[url]
The way I accomplished this feels hacky though, and I's like to know if there's a simpler/more elegant way to accomplish it. The thumbs are an unordered list of images.
Here is my javascript:
In essence, I add an overlay div over each thumbnail which acts as the trigger to shrink the enlarged image. I thought I could use the parent <li>, as it doesn't appear to expand with the image (since I've set its size in my CSS) but that didn't work.
Does anyone know how to create a "zoom in" effect on an image when you mouse over the image? By zoom in, I mean the original image gets smaller when you mouse over the image.
I wonder if it is possible to make a JS blur effect on an image while it's moving.It probably is but I haven't seen it done before with JS, only ActionScript for Flash, I wonder what is the reason for this.So the way I have been thinking this could be achieved is by loading several times the same image giving them transparency and offsetting them a pixel or two from each other.
EBay has implemented a different way to upload auction pictures --- after browsing for the picture and selecting it, the image preview instantly displays on the screen, which is nice. Apparently this process is being handled locally --- could someone try to re-create this ? ... I imagine its using DHTML or some other technique, I'm not sure how I would code this.
I've been working at this one for a few days now, and I keep getting the same puzzling results on what should probably have been a simple issue.
My page has images I've loaded at the top and set to {display: none}. The eventual goal is to create thumbnails that will maintain the original images' proportions, but fit within 150x150 px (this is for an artist's gallery page, so it's pretty important to keep the thumbnails looking like the originals). Obviously, the first thing I need to do is get the images' heights and widths. I've tried to do this by iterating through the document.images array and just getting the widths and heights, but for some reason I always get 0 x 0 for the first image. I've tried fixing this by inserting another image before it and then starting the loop at 1 instead of 0 (so it excludes that first image), but I still get the same value. I even tried setting the script to "defer" so it wouldn't run until the page had loaded. Same results. It also doesn't seem to matter whether I ask for document.images[x].width or document.images[x].naturalWidth. The same thing happens either way. Does anyone know what's going on? There's got to be something I'm missing.
I've got a <ul> w/ 6 <li> items and CSS to make them 104x228 side blocks, which hold 2 images, one on top of the other. The 6 rows of images look like this:
X X X X X X X X X X
This is what I want: The top row of images to be opacity:0 (or hidden), and then when you mouseover the bottom images, the top images come to 100 opacity. When you mouseout, the opacity is back to 0.Here's the HTML and CSS:
I currently have this and works: HTML Code: $(".item_price").html("£"+item_price); It prints to this: <td align="right" class='item_price'></td> But how do i had the item_price to a hidden textfield aswell? I tried
i have a div SetLoc which has some advanced settings for measurements. now what i want is when the user clicks on any of the buttons, the value should be added to the previous textfield.here the important thing is that i cant use the ID or name of the textfield as i will be using the same div at many places and i need to put the values from these button to the textfield just before this div.
How can I create a custom textfield with buttons? Can I use JQuery to do that? See my attached image for a explanation of what I need to do.AttachmentstextfieldButtons.pngSize : 1.2 KB Download : 324
I doa validation for a textbox (email field), with help from the validate plugin, it works great to use this email function. The thing is that I want to a validation for another text field (title) and needs to check for 'bad' characters, like regex. how to to this like the function below?
I have a recipients input textfield called 'recipient', which takes usernames separated by a comma. Next to this field I have a list of usernames wrapped in span tags with a title attribute holding the username. I'm using the following code to set the value of the textfield. However it only takes one username instead of adding to it. I also don't know how to add a comma automatically when a username gets clicked.
Code:
$(document).ready(function() { $('span.contact').click(function() { var title = $(this).attr('title');
ich got a textarea and want to add a special symbol to it like average. would be awesome if there were a button next to the textfield where a dialog pops up. via click on the specific symbol it should be added at the promt in the textarea box. maybe something like that smiley input in this wysiwyg-editor. should be as easy for the user as possible.does anybody know a plugin for that problem? i googled a lot and didn't find anything suitabl
To manipulate strings, but forexample when Iam programming an event with jquery and extract data from a textfield for example I can,t do this var msg=msg.subtring(0,5);
I created an html page and wrote javascript which uses jquery's hover() method. It converts a textfield into a span when mouse leaves the textfield and converts the span back to textfield when mouse enters the span. Also,I created a button, which when clicked executes a function that takes the val() of element with id='title' and shows it in an alert. I encountered two problems:
1. This works fine as long as the text field contains default text. But if I leave the textfield blank by default, the hover method can't detect the span and will not convert it to textfield. Is there some way I can create the textfield blank and yet make hover() work? 2. After I place mouse over the span and enters some value in the textfield, I move the mouse cursor onto the button and clicks it. At this moment, the span has a an id='title' and so $("#title").val() should get the entered text.
However ,the alert shows empty string of length=0. I tried this ,without moving the mouse cursor out of textfield and clicked the button using TAB-Enter.This time the alert shows the correct entered text. Why is this happening? Shouldn't the $("#title") be able to get the span element with id=title and .val() retrieve its text?
