JQuery :: Align Right (not Left) Images With Variable Widths?
Sep 8, 2009
I was implementing this http:[url]....here: http:[url]....it works ok (you can see it clicking "siguiente" & "anterior" at the left side menu/descriptions)but... I need the images (that have variable widths) aligned to right, not left...I have tried using some css variants and nothing works... float, text-align, right:0...then looking at the jquery.cycle.all.js file I saw a lot of "left"strings... maybe I need to change some of them, to make it align to right?maybe there is an option in jquery to change them to
right?
I have to do a slideshow with images of different widths... am using cycle plugin, which I like very much... I have a little test slideshow here, http:[url]....it's not centering imgs in containing div (I made div width of widest image.. this will work for my situation, in which imgs will be hard-coded..)if you inspect img element in firebug (#slideshow img), it shows that the plugin adds a style of position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px .to the img; why does the plugin do this.. how can I center the images in containing div...
I've just started using jquery and it's going pretty well so far, I'm just having a few issues that hopefully someone here knows how to fix.
The main one being that my collapsor plugin only seems to work if you put a <ul> tag before what you're trying to make the collapsing heading, that's fine but I want to fully left align my headings to go with my nav.
Example:[url]
I really want the MAGAZINES, ADVERTISING and BOOKS headings to be fully left aligned (I don't mind if their subheadings are still in <ul> format though… But would be ideal if the subheadings appeared on the line right after the heading, not sure why there is a gap…
One more small issue is my link rollovers don't seem to work with the headings either, the underline/underline colour works fine but the text colour doesn't (it's supposed to be like when you roll over BACKGROUND or CONTACT.
I have two javascript elements (banners) within a div that I would like to style side by side. What is the best way to style javascript for image one to align left and image 2 to align right? And will this work across all browsers?[code]
Hey just a quick question... I have something centered on my page (its a table). How can I align something to the left of what I already have centered?
I am able to align the tooltip using the offset command, but would like to align the tooltip to open in the upper left of the screen. How can I do this?
i have a long vertical page 9000px wide. each page "area" is 1500px wide. overflow is hidden.
1. when a link is clicked to scroll to the next page area i.e. click "next" and the page scrolls to x=1500px and the edge of the page aligns with the viewports 0,0 coordinates. as you would get in flash.
2. when you hover the mouse over an area to the right of the viewport the page scrolls to the right, when you hover to the left likewise.
When you have a list of elements (gallery of images in my case) with align:left style, in the line break they can fall not to the beginning of a new line, but to the side of some previous element that has a bigger heigth. This is a javascript to correct the position of these elements:
Im trying to build on a script that I found on the internet and modified to my needs.urrently there are three images on the left, which, when clicked, change the image on the right depending on which of the left images was clicked.Simply, when you click the whisky link on the left you see a bottle of wiskey on the right. Here is my script:
Code: <SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript"> function switchImg(i){
What I am trying to do is create a slider that auto scrolls 3-4 images from right to left with no controls. And if the user hovers over it, it stops so they can read the content that is featured. Everywhere I search there are bunch of plugins i.e. easyslider, s3slider, etc. that have tons of code that is greek to me. I tried using the easyslider code and changing things around for it to do what I want, but I was unsuccessful.
I need to do an application similar with google maps but using jquery. i need to navigate into a set of images using left/right/up/down and zoom in/out. Do you have any idea about how can I do that? A link, tutorial , anything is useful.
Ia have two different tables that are generated from an application. In the first one there are only <th> and the second one only <td>.I want the size of the first, second etc <td> to be equal to the corresponding <th>.I have managed to do that by putting ids in all of them and then make a function like:
I have been working on this tabb container for a while, and am learning how to code in CSS in the procces, with yall's help I was able to get close to what I am looking for in a finished product, but I am still missing a few things! Here is the working code:
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>[code].....
Here are a few problems I need solved:
1) The tabs don't use the active class when active except when the page first loads. This used to work, but now it got messed up and I don't know where.
2) I can't figure out how to center the text in the tabs
3) I Cant figure out how to set the widths of the inactive tabs so that they all span the top of the page evenly (Roughly 103px width a piece).
I'm busy creating a website and I've implemented a gallery of sorts using this script below to make it move the images, however when it gets to the end of the cycle of images it reads the last image as the last one to reach the left hand side which is obviously quite unattractive. So all I would like to know is if there is someone who can alter this code to make it so the last image is read on the right of the block thus resulting in no blank blocks. You can view it in action at http://mcphotography.co.za/corporate.html.
I have a couple of questions that i'm hoping someone can assist me with. I'm new to Jquery and JavaScript. I am trying to get the width of each inline list item and place them into an array. Once in the array, I am hoping to retrieve the largest integer from the list. Here is what I have so far:
Code: $(document).ready(function(){ var arrayList = $('ul li').get();
To allow for scrolling, I have two frames (I know, I know) containing two pieces of the 'same' table: a non-scrolling header and a scrolling body, each in a different frame. The problem: even if I specify exactly the same formatting, the columns often end up with different widths because of 1. the scroll bar in one frame and not the other and 2orizontally large elements which force different column sizes in one table but not the other. So, my question is this: Is there a fairly direct, (nearly?) browser universal way of synchronizing the column formatting of one table with another?
so i have a div that is a minimum of 960px wide x 500px high with a minimum of 20px margin to the left + right of it. there should be no scroll bars unless you go under the minimum dimensions (including left + right margin). when you resize the window, the #main div should resize (in correct ratio). here is my attempt:
HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
I didn't see this as an option, so I decided to give it a try on my own. I was able to add some lines of code (shown with the > in the margin below) to the jquery.cycle.js script to read in the width of each image and center the slide within the slideshow container // set position and zIndex on all the slides
take a look at this link for me? For some reason this works perfectly in everything but IE.I am sure there is some simple fix for this alignment issue, I just can't figure it out
Trying to set up a simple slider and it works perfectly in everything but IE. Every time I reset the x/y coordinates it looks different in every browser.
I am using the lava lamp plugin on my navigation page and I am having trouble fixing an issue I have got. I have it working perfectly, it sits right within he height of the nav and when I rollover it works. The only problem I have is when I rollover the lavalamp line does not align with the navigation text. I have attached a screen shot so you can see how it is working and if you wanted to have a look I have attached the code:
This is the CSS; Copy code ul, li { margin: 0; padding: 0; } #line { width:auto; height:15px; position: absolute; z-index: 1; top: 35px; float:right; .....
This is the Jquery; Copy code (function($) { $.fn.spasticNav = function(options) { options = $.extend({ overlap : 20, speed : 500, reset : 2000, color : 'none', easing : 'easeOutExpo' }, options); .....
I have a html page with a lot of thumbnails. The idea is that when the user clicks on an image the onClick event is to display another detailed form and deliver to that form the name of the image in a variable. In the detailed php-form there is a query to MySQL to retrieve a record. The record will be retrieved by a Query based on the name of the picture. Apparently the PHP cannot do the job. I had an idea to make the thumbnail page as a form and to use use a hidden field with the thummnail name which should be carried on with the $_POST array through the submit button but i do not want to have a submit button. The more elegant way is just by clicking the picture the detailed page is opened and the variable is transferred where my php code can make use of the variable for the query. I have never used java before so you have to excuse for the lack of knowledge.
I am trying to align a table within a web page both horizontally and vertically so it appears centred on the web browser. Not the contents of the table but the table itself.
