To allow for scrolling, I have two frames (I know, I know) containing two pieces of the 'same' table: a non-scrolling header and a scrolling body, each in a different frame.The problem: even if I specify exactly the same formatting, the columns often end up with different widths because of 1. the scroll bar in one frame and not the other and 2orizontally large elements which force different column sizes in one table but not the other.So, my question is this: Is there a fairly direct, (nearly?) browser universal way of synchronizing the column formatting of one table with another?
Ia have two different tables that are generated from an application.In the first one there are only <th> and the second one only <td>.I want the size of the first, second etc <td> to be equal to the corresponding <th>.I have managed to do that by putting ids in all of them and then make a function like:
To allow for scrolling, I have two frames (I know, I know) containing two pieces of the 'same' table: a non-scrolling header and a scrolling body, each in a different frame.The problem: even if I specify exactly the same formatting, the columns often end up with different widths because of 1. the scroll bar in one frame and not the other and 2. horizontally large elements which force different column sizes in one table but not the other.
So, my question is this: Is there a fairly direct, (nearly?) browser universal way of synchronizing the column formatting of one table with another? I hear there is a way to add a scrollbar to just the table contents, not the table headers. But lets assume I really want to work with two separate tables.
This (apparently) totals all 'amount' cells in the page, and writes it in *all* the 'total' cells - close, but obviously I'm not correctly specifying that each total should be displayed in its parent.
My problem is that some of these myFunction#s include AJAX calls but the calls depend on each other in such a way that myFunction2 will not work unless myFunction1 has completed. So what is the "nicest" way to make sure of this? I've considered putting a hidden element in the HTML and then changing it at the end of each function call and have the onchange event trigger the next function call. But this seems very hacky and overcomplicated - surely there must be a simpler and better way....?
To synchronize the vertical scroll of the following "left" and "right" divs only when the beginning and end of each "blahN " div is reached inside the left div. Both divs have a finite height, which basically insures that the scroll bar will be present. The left div outputs text-based content from various database procedures while the right div outputs images corresponding to the text. The text is nothing more than pages from the website and as you can see inside the left div, each is encapsulated within a subsequent div with an incremental class (i.e.- "blah1", "blah2", and so forth.) When one scrolls through each "blah" content inside of the left div, I would like the right div to output the image that corresponds to the text (again, this data comes from the website through previous transactions.) Here's an example: John Doe comes to the website and starts reading the various pages listed inside the left div.
There might be 2 pages loaded inside the left div, or, there might be 20, but in any event, when he loads the entire page containing all this, the first page will be displayed along with the first pages' image. When he scrolls past this first entry (page) inside the left div, the corresponding image related to it inside the MySQL database is then output as well over in the right div and so on with every other "blahN " piece of content. Right now, the jQuery I'm using has synchronized both divs to scroll at the same time, regardless of specific waypoints that might be reached per-scrolling.
Here's the basic markup I'm using right now:
<div class="left"> <?php foreach($obj->field_page_objs as $k1=>$v1){
[code]....
few other websites and the responsiveness has been minimal-to-nonexistent. I'm sure this is because of both how I've explained the problem combined with the overall difficulty (or niche-ness) it introduces. In any event, I apologize beforehand if this carries over into this website.
I'm using drupal, and am having trouble to convert a table to a one field two column at code level.Is it possible to manipulate it using jquery using odd and even?
I have a couple of questions that i'm hoping someone can assist me with. I'm new to Jquery and JavaScript. I am trying to get the width of each inline list item and place them into an array. Once in the array, I am hoping to retrieve the largest integer from the list. Here is what I have so far:
Code: $(document).ready(function(){ var arrayList = $('ul li').get();
so i have a div that is a minimum of 960px wide x 500px high with a minimum of 20px margin to the left + right of it. there should be no scroll bars unless you go under the minimum dimensions (including left + right margin). when you resize the window, the #main div should resize (in correct ratio). here is my attempt:
HTML Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
I was implementing this http:[url]....here: http:[url]....it works ok (you can see it clicking "siguiente" & "anterior" at the left side menu/descriptions)but... I need the images (that have variable widths) aligned to right,not left...I have tried using some css variants and nothing works... float, text-align, right:0...then looking at the jquery.cycle.all.js file I saw a lot of "left"strings... maybe I need to change some of them, to make it align to right?maybe there is an option in jquery to change them to right?
I have been working on this tabb container for a while, and am learning how to code in CSS in the procces, with yall's help I was able to get close to what I am looking for in a finished product, but I am still missing a few things! Here is the working code:
Code: <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head>[code].....
Here are a few problems I need solved:
1) The tabs don't use the active class when active except when the page first loads. This used to work, but now it got messed up and I don't know where.
2) I can't figure out how to center the text in the tabs
3) I Cant figure out how to set the widths of the inactive tabs so that they all span the top of the page evenly (Roughly 103px width a piece).
I have to do a slideshow with images of different widths... am using cycle plugin, which I like very much... I have a little test slideshow here, http:[url]....it's not centering imgs in containing div (I made div width of widest image.. this will work for my situation, in which imgs will be hard-coded..)if you inspect img element in firebug (#slideshow img), it shows that the plugin adds a style of position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px .to the img; why does the plugin do this.. how can I center the images in containing div...
I'm working on a script that inserts things into tables. It's complicated and involves xmlhttp and lots of stuff, but I've narrowed the problem down to something simple. The following code does not work in IE. It doesn't generate an error, but simply displays nothing. Here is the code:
I have a table that holds a form. At the bottom of the table it has a link that says ... "Add another entry" When clicked it should add another table below that one for the user to fill out. This is designed for a Resume Builder where the user will be able to input multiple jobs. I have the script "kinda" working but the only problem is that I have to try and cram the entire table code into ONE line. If it expands multiple lines it doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone could help me out on that one... Code:
I have created a table 2cols x 10rows. I would like to put a javascript that when I entered a value (string or integer) in cell 1, the other cell will be populated by the same value. It sort of copy and paste.
I've created an XML-RPC server, and would like to somehow bind the XML server responses to a table for users to view. Here's the catch, that data changes frequently (every few seconds), so I'm using setInterval to periodically get updated XML content from the server.
Currently, the setInterval function requests the entire dataset, then rewrites the entire table. I'm concerned that it's a waste of bandwidth, and disrupts the user scrolling through the data whenever it rewrites. Ideally, I'll have the XML-RPC server generate only data changed since the last request, then somehow update the table with the changes.
I have my own library for web-design building - active forms, lists. I am going to build tabbing component. The complexity in this process is that all web forms uniformed and are built as TABLEs, where each field is TR. Tabs have to show/hide some of table rows.
I don't know how TR's properties must be changed in order to hide them all. I tried make HTML code like <TR>...</TR> .... <DIV id=tab1> <TR>...</TR> .... </DIV> <TR>...</TR> ....
And tried to change visibility of a DIV, but this doesn't work. How can I change visibility of set of TRs?
Here's the situation: I have a simple php file which retrieves data from a mysql database and displays it in a table. However, the number of records has gotten so large that retrieving all the data takes a lot of memory and the browser freezes.
I been googling for a solution and some1 mentioned something called live scrolling where the data is retrieved only when you scroll up or down. Since am just an amateur and not familiar with XML, XSL, etc; can any1 recommend some link where i could find some JS script with such a feature? one that's easy to get started with if possible...
i am new to Html and i am helping run a website for virtual golf. we were thinking of adding a Statistics page but would need the table used to be sortable so by hitting the header the column sorts the figures in order, the tablw would only be 50 rows and 8 columns. i have looked at the website [URL]../docs/but cant seem to sort out where to place things. a step by step guide would very much be appriciated.
how I would dynamically add another table once text fields in the existing table is clicked on.So pretty much what I have is a table with 5 textboxes lined up horizontally in the first row along with couple of buttons in the second row.What I want is that once one text box is clicked, another table like the one above is created and appears below that initial table. So this is the inital table that should be replicated on each click:
