I'm writing an application with PHP that let me have statitics about visited pages for my web site. to save informations needed i use an ajax query with the unload event. The problem that i have is titme to time the script uses with that ajax query doesn't work especially when i stay long time in a page.
This is my code?
Why it works most of time but sometime doesn t work? is there any specifications to take for the unload event ?
So I have to display my school timetable, read the current time, and using javascript highlight the current lesson.
My teacher says i must use about 3/4 functions not switch cases.
I want to add 5 to the variable 'paramdatastart' each time the #btn is clicked. So when I click it first time the 'paramdatastart' will be 5 and next time it will be 10 andso onHow do I do that?

i have a set of select fields, which when selected, send a value via ajax, to return a sub-selection for further choice. I have 3 levels of sub-categories like this. For some reason it works in FF only - not IE. [URl]..

I am calling a page which uses a jquery plugin(lightbox) which functions perfectly by itself, but whenever an ajax call is made and this page is retrieved the plugin stops functioning.
This is the line for using the plugin which i have stored in a .js file which is imported in all html files, but still it does not work.
I'd like to have basically rotating images on my page but I'd like to pull them from a database. how to set an image rotation like every 10 seconds but have it call a function which will use AJAX to be able to pull the images from the database?
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen using .ajax, and when before I receive any data back from the server, I would like to call a function that could display some type of 'thinking' icon. In looking a the documentation I see there is a 'success', for when after receiving data back successfully, and an 'error', for obviously when something bad happens and need to error gracefully. I do not see something like a 'beforeSuccess' function that would allow me to specify, for example, to overlay a 'thinking icon' on top of a <div> after request is sent to the server and before I get any data back. I would assume this is a pretty standard necessity in ajax applications, and probably missing something here. How exactly is this done using the .ajax methods?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have made a page thats makes an AJAX call to the server gets the time and displays it. In the OPEN method i have set
req.open("GET","/timerProg.cgi?param1="+new date(),false);
I have set the last parameter as false as i am expecting a synchronous request so that time displayed should be consistent.
I am using new date() since the browser is caching my request and displaying the same output everytime as i dont know any other alternative.
The alternative so that browser does not cache the results and gives proper output each time.
I have a link that makes an AJAX call to display a certain amount of items in a roster.
the link is:
<a href="javascript:loadRoster('per_page=10');">Show 10 items</a>
<a href="javascript:loadRoster('per_page=20');">Show 20 items</a>
I want to be able to make these calls from a dropdown,
Here's my problem code:
document.onclick=handler;
function handler(e) {
//do stuff
var params = "something";
var request = new XMLHttpRequest();
request.open("GET", "http://www.foo.com/bar.php?" + params, true);
[Code]....
Now is user clicks something else but not a link everything works just fine. But if she clicks a link, the bar.php call does not work (never comes to the server). If I change the call to a synchronuous one request.open("GET", [URL] false) also clicking a link works fine. But I would of course prefer the async way.
I am trying to check the user enter time with current system. If user enter the time less than the current system time then I want to display the alert box. But the code is not working. Here is the code
<html>
<head>
<title>test</title>
<script type="text/javascript">
var d = new Date();
var curr_hour = d.getHours();
var curr_min = d.getMinutes();
[Code].....
I want to know if there is a way to return ajax call as html value and not plain text, ie all html formatting will be displayed.
My code:
<script src="jquery.js">
<script>
$(function()
{
[Code]....
String returned from webform4.aspx is html formatted but jquery displayed it as plain text. Is that anyway to display it as html string ?
I'm not really a Java writer, so I don't know how to do this myself, though I imagine it would be pretty simple. I am looking to add a script to a webpage that allows users to input a time manually, and have it converted to GMT/Zulu time and display the converted time. I have seen a lot of time zone conversion scripts online, but they all just convert whatever the current system time is to another time zone. I am looking for a script that allows users to convert a time and show the zulu time, for times other than the current time. The time zone the inputed local time would be in is +4:30 (Kabul). I don't really care about style or aestehtics, just a simple script I can insert into a web page to have a time input field. The converted output time can appear in another field, a popup bubble, etc, again style isn't really an issue. It's really just to help people in my job who need to know what the GMT/Zulu time was for certain local times after the fact. One would think it shouldn't be that hard to just subtract 4:30 in your head, but apparently it is.

I have the following code in one of my pages. My problem is caused, because the method "processEvent" is never called, but I have no idea why. I guess it is broken, because I don't relay the "this" object correctly.

this.init = function()

However if the contents of div1 obtains its innerHTML from an AJAX call then the first <script> tage is not found by getElementsByTagName("script") if there is no other HTML before the <script> tag.
I use this:

I would like to be able to resize my current window to 1024x768 and center it at the same time. I know how to resize (window.resizeTo(1024,768)) but I don't know how to center the window. The only examples I can find are opening new windows such as this:[URL] I'm restricted in that I have to have the script on one page and I cannot open new windows e.g. open a new popup window and close the opener.
