May 25, 2009I'd like to display the children nodes when the mouse over the parent node. What is the best way to achieve that?

JQuery :: Using Browser Search(Ctl+F) On Collapsed Treeview Nodes?

When I do a search in the browser (Ctl+F)(with Item2 collapsed) on Element1 the search stops on Item1|Subitem1|Element1 then Item1|Subitem2|Element1. If continue searching it does not find Item2|Subitem2|Element1.
Is there a way for the search to even find collapsed items?
Recursive Menu Mouseover - Turn The Style Display On Or Off
Nov 9, 2011This recursive menu is built with ColdFusion and then Javascript is used to turn the style display on or off. The problem I'm running into is this. The menu currently has 4 levels. MicrosoftMicrosoft TechnicalDynamicSystem CenterWindows ServerHyper V The menu is collapsed and as you mouse over an item that has child elements it expands. The problem happening now is the menu loads expanded only for the 'Microsoft' element. (note this is the only menu tree that has 4 levels).
So it looks like this when loaded initially. MicrosoftMicrosoft TechnicalDynamicSystem CenterWindows Server When you mouseover 'Microsoft' it then expands the 'Hyper V' menu item underneathe Windows Server. Mousing over 'Microsoft' should open 'Microsoft Technical', etc... I imagine the code doesn't support that many levels because if 'Hyper V' is moved out and put under 'Microsoft Technical' as a child the menu works fine.

JQuery :: TreeView - Menu Collapses Instantaneously With Animation
Jul 27, 2009I was trying out [URL] with IE 8 in IE 7 mode. The menu animates and opens. When I click to close, the menu collapsed instantaneously. However, it is working perfectly in IE8 mode i.e. the menu animates while closing up. How do I fix this for IE7?

I thought that by using innerHTML to display onclick() to the div will solve my problem, but thats not the case When I click the preview template button, I get an undefined error.

Adding Right Click Context Menu To YUI Treeview
Jan 11, 2007I recently started on a tree-folder display and used the Yahoo treeview control. Again it works very well and I am happy with the results. However, after seeing the treeview folder structure, my client asked if it would possible to add a right mouse click context menu to allow users to modify the folder tree -- add new folders, upload files, rename folders, delete folders, etc.
Updating the tree with the new elements is simple enough, but my attempts to implement the context menu have failed miserably. I have studied the Yahoo documentation and I can identify the name of nodes and the label of the element clicked on. But I can't figure out how to add the right-click code to the nodes the YUI Treeview generates.
I have successfully used various right-click Javascript scripts in the past -- but in those cases I was adding the function to an actual HTML element. The YUI elements are generated by the script, and I am at a loss as how to add the code to the generated node elements.
The application is part of a corporate intranet, and will only be used with Internet Explorer 6.0+ on Windows. The new context menu would completely replace the standard Windows context menu.
I am tempted to hack the YUI Treeview script to see if I can add a right click function similar to the Expand, Collapse and Clicked node functions, but I suspect that there is probably a simpler and easier way to do it.

But the problem is that if I move mouse on content that is inside this div (for example image) than mouseout event is triggered. One solution would be adding this event to all elements inside that div. What selector should I use to select all elements inside div ("div.editable_content *" and "div.editable_content > *" does not seem to work for this problem)? Any better solutions how to do this without attaching events to all elements?

Purpose: when nav-item has childs (sub-nav-items), I want them to rollout by mouseenter. This works. I want the sub-items rollup when leaving the sub-items div (<div class="sub-nav-items"> ) OR when leaving the parent of the child items (<a href="#" class="parent">pagina2</a>).
Problem:With my code sofar I could only let the sub items rollup by leaving the sub-items div.

Mouseover Menu
Jul 10, 2003The design of the website that I am working on requires mouseover menus that open up instead of down. I don't know much JavaScript yet, so I looked all over the Internet trying to find a script that would allow me to do this. I finally found one here. But when I set it up it wouldn't work properly. For some reason it always opens the menu in the top right hand cornor of the screen. Since, like I said, I don't know much JavaScript yet, I have now idea what the problem is or how to fix it.
I attached a dumbed down version of my page to this post. I removed all graphics and content, and I put my javascript and style sheet into the head section so that it would all be in one file. Code:

Apr 9, 2006I used this script and it is working fine. I changed those two images and put my own. Image1 is of 600 width and 340 height and Image2 is of 560 width and 794 height.
The code is working fine but the tool tip window resizes automatically
and shows up the image. How can I have a fixed height and width? Which
line should I change so that the height and width of the tooltip window
is constant?
I tried changing var tipWidth = 160; but no effect tried playing with var startStr = '<table width="' + tipWidth + '"><tr> but again no effect.
I want the tooltip window to be constant and the picture size should be resized to fit in that tooltip window and aspect ratio for height and width should be resized automatically.
Mouseover Text To Change Display Image
Sep 23, 2009I am new to JavaScript and I am having a difficult time finding what I thought would be easy to find.I have 4 text strings that when a user runs his/her mouseOver, I'd like to display a corresponding picture in a display area. I thought that would be easy enough. However, it gets a bit complicated for me since I am also using CSS to position the display area. For some reason all I can find out there are examples using HTML tables for display image positioning. I don't want to use tables. I'm not sure if this will make a difference but my style sheet is external. Also, the text does not link/go to another page.

Jun 9, 2009I'm using Mootools 1.2.0 and I'm trying to create a mouseover slide menu. That means that there will be a slideIn effect on menu-item's mouseover event. I have created a menu and I have achieved the sliding effect. The problem is that when I mouseover quickly on menu items, the slide in effect of each item doesn't have enough time to complete. In the end, there are more than one slides opening at once, instead of one. Is there someway to force my script to end all slidein or slideout effects before starting a new one?
