The coding seems to be tripping up on the line:
document.images.slide.src=eval("image"+step+".src");
(I inserted document.write statements before and after this line and only received the 'before' statement).
The image before the javascript kicks in

displays fine - and the images listed in the header are correctly named.
I am using anythingslider for slideshow and it is showing all images in <li> while page is loading all images and slideshow.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIīve just launch my website-portfolio, well itīs not yet the final version but it is almost and despite I am satisfied with the final result Iīve detected a really strange bug that only happens sometimes. The thing is when the first introduction Slide appears (the one with the hand-made drawings), sometimes the images shrink from the normal size to small tiny images. This doesnīt happen always and if you refresh the page it disappears.

I'm using the Google Maps API (v 2) to display my phones last known location on a map. On this 'bare bones' page, the Google Maps tiles load correctly, without any jerking:

However, on my customised page, the tiles jerk and slide around (try dragging the map and zooming out). This is particularly evident on Safari and Chrome.

I'm not entirely sure how to fix it. The Web Developer script analyser is not returning any errors and I'm really at a loss to understand where I'm going wrong!
I'm working at a college in Michigan and we have an issue with the files not loading correctly for our website. The issue appears to be a javascript problem. When I try to access a page, it will load, but the javascript functions for instance will show up on the page as if it is just html text. So I right-clicked the page, clicked "view source" and when the source code for the file opens up it shows the javascript portion in the head section as:

However, the code I have in the file of course is written as:

I do not have javascript disabled on my browser or anything, so that is not the issue. For some reason it appears it is getting disabled though on page load.
I built this worksheet generator. When you generate a worksheet, it seems to work fine in IE8, but in firefox, it stays loading. The little loading icon never goes away. Also, when you look at the print preview, the problems don't appear on the first page, they appear on the second page.
My only guess as to why firefox stays loading forever when you generate a worksheet is maybe the onSubmit = false I put in the form?

I had posted this issue previously regarding my Ajax site navigation module not loading correctly. It would load on certain parts of the site and not others. After some research I have discovered that I need to redirect from "www.mydomain.com" and make a call to "mydomain.com" instead. I thought a 301 .htaccess redirect would work but according to the site that sold me the template the script in my configure.php file must be changed. This is what configure.php looks like now.

When I manually add the links to the image urls, these work only in IE - when I click next, the picture updates and is linked to the correct URL. In other browsers (Firefox, Chrome..), the last url becomes the clickable link for all the images. I have tried to use the .wrap option and I'm sure I'm on the right track, except I have 4 images and I want it to go to 4 different urls.it sought of works, but only the first url is picked up and becomes the link for all the images.How can I get the link reference for the url to iterate with the original loop of the image?

The input boxes show through, but not the submit button, so it renders the page useless.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having difficulty loading images via Ajax on a site that I've been working on.I'm performing the ajax by using the Request.HTML object of the MooTools framework. Basically, I'm just passing some parameters to a php script which outputs some image tags and then I insert that HTML into a pre-defined content div. For some reason though, it seems that big images don't seem to load consistently when using this technique. Usually, they will just show up as broken images, but when I navigate to the url of the image that is 'broken', it displays just fine. Also, occasionally after navigating to the actual url of the image, my browser will cache the image and then it will display just fine when loading it through Ajax.

However, when you refresh again, it positions correctly. At first I thought this was a caching issue on my computer, but it did the same thing on someone else's.I'm a perfectionist (as you all are as well ) and I don't like things moving around or being out of position.If it doesn't happen on your computer when you first upload it, try it again because it's an on and off thing.

How to do this successfully?
I am looking to build a slideshow (basic, with next/previous options, e.g jquery cycle) but I would like it to get the images from a specific folder. So, whenever I want the slideshow updated, I would simply drop the files in a folder and that would do it.
Would this require a php script? If yes, direct me to somewhere to find out more...Or if there are other ways.
I am using a slideshow and want to basically have an 'image loading' whilst all the images load before the slideshow. Is there a way to do this? So far I have figured the best way around this is to have a GIF as a background image that says the loading message, and then once the slideshow loads over the top its fine, however im guessing this is'nt the right way to do this. I am using this slideshow set to just loop:

It's for a photo gallery like this http:[url].....php but the one I need it for has 100 images so the page loads much slower. I can't just put the loading gif behind the images (as you would normaly) because you can see it with each image fade in and out. how I can have a loading gif show "only" while the images are initially loading, and then it goes away?

problem is that the show was slow because each image loaded one at a time
during the show. No problem right? I just did a preload script. But then the
user has to sit for 5 minutes waiting for 63 images to download! My images
are about 640x480 and average 100kb. Is this too much for one page to load?
Should I load my slideshow into differerent windows? If so, don't I have the
same problem with my loading time?
I am currently using the scrollable jquery plugin to scroll some images of thumbnails in a gallery. What I'm trying to do now, is figure out how to load the large version of those thumbnails into a div when they are clicked.

Having just dipped my toe in the jQuery pool, I've managed to create a preload and fadein for images on this portfolio site.However, when I view the page in Firefox something odd happens. Initially, the images load in fine with the desired effect. But when I click the logo (which links back to the same page), the images fail to load. I have to refresh for them to reappear.
