Simple question here. I have an input inside a div. When the user hits the escape key, I would like the input and the parent DIV to be removed.

I have 2 windows - parent and children.
in parent
<form name="calc" action="" method="post">
<input value="0" type="text" name="pay" id="pay">
</form>
in child
<form name="payment" action="" method="post">
<input value="0" type="text" name="pay_str" id="pay_str">
</form>
how can i transfer data from parent input to child input?
I want to remove the class-attribute of all <a>-tags in this table-tr:
In addOrder, I want to use removeClass("back_blue_3").removeClass("back_blue_2") of all <a> in this tr.
I tryed this:
But this causes just an error.
How I have to handle it?
Any way to remove styling on a parent element with JS (as it can't be done in CSS). In a situation like this:
Code:
<p><img src="image1.gif"></p>
<p>Brutus aderat forti.</p>
<p><img src="image2.gif"></p>
<p>Caesar adsum jam.</p>
The <p> element has default padding, but I'd like to remove the padding when the <p> contains an image. This was my failed attempt to target the <p> element:
Code:
window.onload = paraPad;
function paraPad() {
var img = document.getElementsByTagName("img");
var imgpara = img.parentNode;
for (i=0; i<imgpara.length; i++) {
imgpara.style.padding = "0";
}}
I want to use jquery to make sure that my HTML forms have the correct structure and classes. What I want:
HTML Code:
<form class="myclass">
<label class="label-class"><span class="there_is_supposed_to_be_a_span_here">Label</label>
[code]....
I have a form with several radio buttons in one fieldset (fieldset's are broke up by a wizard plug in). If you check "Yes" to any of the 5 radio buttons, all the parent li's with the radio buttons are hidden and a li with text appears stating you can't click yes. There is a link in there to go back to the original fieldset that when clicked, makes the li with text disappear and the li's with radio buttons appear. Easy enough to make this happen. When you click the link to go back I would like the radio buttons value reset, currently it is still on Yes.

I've got a default value of some text in an input element when a page loads.
What I'd like to do is have the value disappear when the user clicks in the
input field.
I've figured out I can use:
onclick="this.value=''"
This works fine, however if for some reason the user adds his own input,
then click somewhere else/clicks back, the text has once again been erased.
So I thought of a function like the following, however it does not work:
function removeinput(x) {
if (x == 'Enter items not on standard list here...') {
x = ''
}
}
onclick="removeinput(this.value);"
I've also tried placing this.value inside of single quotes to no avail.
How can add and remove input field by clicking on a button. EX:
<input type="text" id="name">
<input type="text" id="email">
<input type="button" value="Add More fields">
When you click on Add more fields, input fields name and email needs to be duplicated and REMOVE button must appear to be able to remove them if neccessary.
Does anyone know how to go about getting a function a bit like fckeditor / ckeditor where when you type a full URL into the 'link to' box it automatically removes the 'http://' part on the fly (i.e. as soon as another character after the initial 'http://' is typed), just leaving the user with www.etc.... in the input?
I am trying to build something similar, and am a bit lost going through the fckeditor code!
I have some fields and a Select option as below, I want to add a new field if I select "Add" option, and remove field when I select "Remove" option, can I do it in very simple JavaScript? my code will be has a error, can you fixed it for me?code...

Is there some workaround for it? I have full access to both top and iframe document, so can add any javascript to both.

To sum up this issue, I have a parent page, which holds some values in hidden input fields passed to them from the url. On this page, I have an iframe with a form in it, to which I want to pass values from these hidden fields to be displayed for the user in the iframe form. In IE, it works. To accomplish this, im just simply doing a <body onload="GetInput()">. The GetInput function does the following, but for about 10 fields:
Fnamefield=document.getElementById('firstname').value = parent.document.getElementById('firstname').value; Thats it. Once the page loads, i see my values. In firefox it does not work. I know the hidden fields are getting their values, but thats as far as it makes it. I have tried calling the GetInput function after the form is written out and not in the body tag, which still works for IE, but not FF.
This time I have a trouble with remove(). Here is my code :
$.each(val.produitsIds,
function (j, val2) {
if($('#chk_' + i).prop("checked")){
//$('#' + val2).prepend("<div>liste des tailles</div>");
$('#' + val2).prepend("<div>" + $('#chk_' + i).attr("value") + "</div>");
}

Adjust the CSS margins of the BODY element with the first slider. The yellow P (paragraph) element resizes to fit its smaller containing block, as I would expect.
Then, adjust the CSS border or padding of the BODY element with the second and third sliders. The P element does not resize, though its origin changes. Instead, it overflows its containing block.
Finally, adjust the margins again. The P element snaps back into its containing block.
As you can see from the source, this is jQuery 1.6.4 and jQueryUI 1.8 pulled from googleapis.com.

I'm currently reading jQuery - Novice to Ninja (fantastic book), and trying to understand how I can add several words to the code snippet below. I currently remove, let's say Sweden as below, but what if I also want to remove Norway?And another question, what if I would like to keep only Sweden and remove the rest from a list of twenty countries? How would I do that?
Code JavaScript:

I'm building a program for webmasters, and I need to have it so that I can have an <INPUT> button that, when clicked, will open up a new window (400x350 pixels) with a list of links. However, when the person clicks one of those links, the window closes, the value of an <input type="text" name="parentdoc" size="8" maxlength="8" readonly> is updated.
How would I accomplish this?
(As I mentioned above, I am very new to JavaScript, so please provide as much explanation and code as possible.)
