animate({height: tHeight} correctly sets the initial height but with a duration equal to zero. Seconf problem : a second mouseover on the element won't show the animation at all.

Apr 20, 2011I am looking for a simple parallax/animate like effect, i have a single image and if i hover on it the image should move like the parallax effect. So if i put my mouse in the topleft corner the image should move in the direction bottomright. I know this i very simple but i cant seem to get it working or how to get this working.

But to get the contents of this file, were using jquery ajax.
Does anybody know how I get make the <marquee> work from the ajax?
In Chrome its fine, but if its in Firefox, the text displays, just not in a marquee.

JQuery :: .animate() Resets Before Animate?
Nov 19, 2011I use the wonderful .animate() method to create a "parallax website". It's still in developpement, but you can see the result : www.ohnewgarden.fr My problem : When you are at the very right, the animate effect reset my left property before animating. Which is weird is that this "reset" is applied only to two layers, without any sense. I'm going crazy !
So if someone could help me, it will be very nice ! It's probably my code which is wrong, but I can't see the mistake.

I said for my defense, I have tried to remove .stop(), tried to change parameters of .stop(), tried to reset (like there) the left property with a .css() method, and I have also tried to animate with "+=" (like there), but nothing works. If you follow to the link I gave, you could see very easily by clicking on "Contact" and after animation by clicking on "Accueil".

Anytime you modify a part in this computer builder, the rigth side gets updated. Right now its removing and adding list items. Problem is when click items too fast, the animation doesnt finish and the next item gets bumped lower and lower.

JQuery :: Animate Onto Screen Works, But Animate Off Screen Happens Instantaneously?
Dec 27, 2011I have a div that has a negative top margin and a negative right margin. The right margin is because I want to have the div slide onto the page from the right. The top margin is because without it my page height is the height of the visible elements plus the height of the off-screen div.On a button click, I move the div down and then animate it onto the screen from the right. On button click again, I animate the div to the right, off the screen, and then move it up. I also toggle its width & padding so it will appear to grow/shrink as it moves on/off screen. At least that's what I am trying to do. The animation onto the screen looks good, but going off the screen, it appears to happen intantaneously, instead of animatedDoes anyone know how I can fix this?

When Googled, I see many examples of marquee's and examined one example of creating a text scrolling in an <input> box, but it's not what I need.

Marquee - Scrolling Stops When First Image Hits The Other End In IE?
Oct 21, 2010I am working on a small project using Dreamweaver. I have a marquee with many images. Everything works fine in Dreamweaver Live View ( images keep coming out from the right end and disappear into the left end).
In IE8 (which supposedly fully support marquee, right?) , once the first image hits the left end, all the images disappear and restart from the rigth end.
I also have a button that changes direction of the marquee. In Dreamweaver view, when I hit the "right" direction button, the last image comes out from the left(then the second last, third last...etc) and continue on. (which is perfect !)
In IE8, the first (not last few) few images come out and start going right.
I have encountered a lot of problems and been able to find solution by googling.
not to use the marquee tag...>.< I am not good enough in JS to manuelly make a marquee..
