JQuery :: Login Using - PHP Connecting To Database
Feb 15, 2011
I have recently been trying to create a simple login form with jQuery, and I was wondering how I would use jQuery to make the"<form>...</form>" "slideUp()" when the "Log in" button is pressed or when "enter" is pressed. Currently I am using "<input type="button" />" because a submit would refresh the page.
However, additional js is required for the "enter" keystroke with "button". How would I use a traditional form setup (i.e., POST, action="", submit, etc) with jQuery to: Slide up and hide the form area upon clicking of submit or enter keystroke POST form data to authenticate.php (which connects to a database, obviously) Return a boolean if there is a data mismatch Have the login page check for that boolean and return an error if err=1, in which case the error is a slideDown() of a div. Is a true login form setup possible here?
Also, should I use PHP or JS for the redirect upon login success? Basically, this is like any login form out there except for the sliding divs.
I have this C# code that is connecting to database and creating a array(list)
Code:
I'm trying to pass it to a javascript function so I can then pass it to a silverlight page so I was able to create this easy javascript that show a aleart box on startup of the list(array)
Code:
But I want to do something like this and can't get it:
When a user in somewhere of a site, he/she may want to login to access some user restrict pages. He/she clicks a login link on the menu and sign in on the login page. How to use JQuery to let the user back to the page where he/she clicks the login link?
I try to connect on Youtube using the script below. But I get the error message: Access to restricted URI denied" code: "1012 Is there any way to bypass this issue ?
function login() { var u = 'xyz'; var p = 'xyz'; $.ajax({
I need to have a series of images cycle in the background, and for each image, text should appear on the right or left side and slide into position. I thought this would be simple but can't really find any information about how to connect these two events. I've done plenty of background image cycling, but never tied a particular image to a particular animated effect. One, can this be done...if so, how challenging is this? And Two, would anyone know of a location of similar stuff. I've seen a bunch of sites that use Flash for this, but it seems like jQuery would be quicker and more robust.
In Chrome, the login page on my schools educational online platform doesn't remember the login info. So i made a bookmark with this javascript injection, that fills in the info, and focusses on the 'aanmelden' button (='login' in dutch), so that i only have to press enter to continue. Here's the javascript injection:javascript: ocument.getElementById('username').value='23889493984';document.getElementById('password').value='4 42384985';return false;document.getElementById('login').focus();This works fine but i'd like to make it happen faster. I wish i could let the script be activated instantly when the page loads, so i only have to press enter, or if possible, let the script click the login button itself.
I want two buttons: one for login and another for logout. Initially login button is enabled and logout button is disabled. When I click on login button, the logout button should get enabled and the login button should get disabled. And after that, when i click on logout, the login button should get enabled and the logout button should get disable.
Here's how far I could go with it,but it doesn't work.
I have a a html page that is used as a login page.I know it is not secure but this is just for learning purposes, I'm not using it for anything important. My problem is that when I put in the correct login all that happens is the page just clears the text boxes as if you were starting over.I am trying to get it to go to register.html which is located in the same directory as the login page.
I removed the " around the javascript:ajaxpage('login.php'); as it was giving me syntax error. But I am unable to cal login .php upon clicking Login. I tried various combination of single quote and double quote but I think I am missing some fundamental rules of single and double quote combination....or may be something else.
is it possible to write up a script that connects to your host admin cp?
Basically, i want to put a form up for signing up to email addresses. How can i do this without any human interaction? Right now, i have to log into my admin cp and create mailboxes manually, there must be another automated way?
I have been searching how to connect to a database and execute some queries, and then use the data that I get to populate some tables in a web page, all this using javascript.
I am confused because I have seen in some webpages that javascript is not designed to connect with databases, and also I have see other pages where they say that it is possible.
Does anyone know if it is possible to use javascript to connect to a database (informix), and execute some procedures or queries?
I'm doing 1 web-system, where login page in .jsp but other functional page in .html where I use javascript to do function. So if user knows any other html page's url then they can browse directly any of those page. But I've to prevent them & send to login page if they try to browse with out login. Very sad I can't do it
I am having no luck with my post form to mysql. It is only posting the first letter of the word/phrase for the text input fields to the mysql database. It is a photo and text post form. The photo and only first letter of text are posting to database. I am using Jqtouch, jquery, and phonegap.
I've managed to open the login form in fancybox. When visitors login, the page opens in the i-frame itself. When they hit the close button of the fancy box, the parent page refreshes.Almost there but I would like to close the popup and refresh the parent page at one go with a proper function when a visitor hits the submit button
I want a hidden div that will have a html form for login and I have a link I want when the user click the link the div appear above the link so the user can login. I have this code (I am using Codeigniter framework I think it has nothing to do). <div id="loginControl" > <?php echo form_open('login/validate_credentials'); echo form_input('username','Username'); echo form_password('password','Password'); echo form_submit('submit','Login'); // echo anchor('login/signup','Create Account'); echo form_close(); ?> </div><a href="#" id="login">Login</a>
(I don't know if I can apply an id to a link) and this is mi Jquery script and I know I am wrong. $(function(){ $('login').click(function (){ $('#loginControl').fadeIn('fast'); });}); I want the login link to be the only that launch the jquery event and show my loginControl Div I am sure it can be done but I am certain not this way.
I am attempting to create an Access database connection from within an HTML page. I am using Javascript to make the connection and then test a basic UPDATE statement.
The following code is throwing back an error 'UPDATE statment syntax incorrect'
Code:
I thought the syntax was correct, but maybe it is something else?
I'm developing a jquery web application. On start the user gets a login screen to sign in (verification and session checking is done by php). After login the user gets the application screen where most of the server communication is done by ajax (json). If there was no ajax communication for a long time (timeout), the server (php) sends a session timout (something like error=timeout) and wants the user to sign in again. Now comes the tricky part:I want to show a window where the user enters the login information. Now the application should send these information to the login.php and after acknowledgment, the last ajax request should be sent again. Is there a possibility to send an ajax request again with same settings?
I'd like to have one form that has username and password at the top and if that is all the user supplies, then try to log him in. Otherwise, validate all fields for registration.
The problem then lies in the remainder of the form which has email, name and password confirmation. I still want to run validate on those fields but ONLY if the user has typed at least one character in any one of them.
Is there a way to do this? Or an example somewhere? Can validate for certain fields only be turned on IF a certain other condition is met?
I would like to use several jQuery effects through a website that I am developing; a login popup, a drop down contact form, coda content scroller, and tabbed content. However, these implementations keep interfering with each other. Is there any way to get around this? I seems as though there must be a way to use multiple jQuery functions.
The page is here: [url] Implementing the Login Popup (which doesn't have a login form inside it yet) broke the contact drop down, and it stays revealed now. The tabbed content in the sidebar seems fine though.
Something already broke my coda jQuery content scroller here: [url]
I'm guessing you know this only too well, but here's a reminder: I wanted to leave a comment about errors in the tutorial on the web site (and I will, in my next post) but the mediawiki Login screen, though titled "Log in / Create account", doesn't appear to allow one to create a (mediawiki) account.
