This page shows 4 icons/blocks, if you hover over 1 of them and click in it, the arrow slide down and a box associated with that category appears, then clouds move.
Problem: If you click another box the previous animated arrow stays where it is, and I need it to move back or, even better, reverse it back to where it was.
It would also be nice to have a 1 or 2 second delay before the clouds start moving after the click triggers the animations.
I'm creating a simple gallery as a way to dip my toes into jQuery. I have thumbnails, each of which link to an image file, and when the user clicks on them the main image in the center is swapped. This works fine.
I'm now coding the "previous" and "next" buttons. They will work the same way -- they just link to a photo, and when clicked the main photo is swapped. However, the link needs to update whenever a new image is displayed.
The way I am doing this now is to: 1) Go through the list of thumbnails and work out which thumbnail in the list is the one that points to the current main image, 2) find the previous and next thumbnails (if they exist), 3) update the links and show the previous and next buttons as required.
I'm looping through a bunch of code that randomly has a div with an image followed by a div with a link. I want to dynamically remove all of the images in a previous div if the following div has a link:
I know I can loop through all of the links with something like this:$('div a.link').each(function(){ /* do something */ });But I just don't know what to do when I loop through them to pull out the previous div's image.
I am a newbie in jquery and I really need to know this script. What I need is something like the tour header of [URL]... The one with fading slideshow and with number and next, previous arrow. I'm looking thru the net but I guess I'm not really pointing myself to the right way.
I am trying to a setup a jquery based navigation for my photo gallery i.e something like facebook using hash url technique. I am using php and mysql in the backend. Is there any example I could look at for implementing it. The reason for using hash urls is that I would like to have an unique url for every pic.
I'm trying to use the scrollTo plug in, maybe in the stupidest way, but I feel I am almost there!in my case every scrollable element has his own next-prev buttons, the script is able to extract a variable on the button click, id like to make him use it to calculate the position of the next-prev target. You can take a look to a live example at [URL].
My jQuery cycle slideshow was working beautifully before I tried to implement previous / next nav based on the demo at [URL]. I broke it doing something dumb. I am using images instead of text links, but that should not be an issue.
I want to sequence a few animations of different selectors. Normally, if it's the same selector, I could just add it to the list, but they're different selectors.[code]...
This code block occurs several times. Sometime the first div ist just "inner" and the second div is missing.
Now I need to update the "new" DIV based on the height of the previous inner-new DIV. For one it works fine:
var height = $('#inner-new').outerHeight(); $('#new').css('margin-top', height*(-1)-30);
But how could I re-use this universally for all my boxes. It needs to check if the DIV "box" contains the DIV "inner-new" as first element, if that is true it need to update the DIV "new".
I tried several things with $('#box').each(function(i) { ... }); but couldn't come up with a solution.
Im using the jquery form wizard [URL] to create a form wizard. In one of the steps i need to populate some inputs based on the value of another input from a previous step. How can i do this? For ex: On step 1 i have two inputs. In one of them i need a time interval in days. On step 2 i have a datepicker witch should have the value of the current time + the number of days from the input in step 1.
i have 2 fields in my form with 1 being currently validated with aremote method (say Field B).I would like to make a dependency between fieldA and fieldB so i triedto add a blur function on field A with jQuery("#FieldB").valid()but when i change FieldA's value no remote validation occurs becausethere is a check (if value != previous value)is there a way for me to disable this cache
If I understood it correctly, I have to find the link's father element (parent()), then find the previous sibling (prev()), find its child (the other link) and finally check its text. However, this is not working...
Is there any way to tell the cycle-plugin to wait with the next slide when the previous one is still animating? When i use the default animation with a next and prev button and I click quickly on the next button the slides start flicker.
I've searched the whole internet, but couldn't find anything regarding this.
I have been using the JQuery Cycle plugin on my website and love it! It has so many options and seems customizable to do basically anything. My question is about the previous and next buttons. At the moment I am using next:'#next2, .pics img', prev:'#prev2', to make previous and next arrows underneath the image as well as use the image itself a "next" button. I would like to remove the arrows underneath the image and just use left and right halves of the image as a previous and next button. Previous being the left half and next being the right half of course. I've been searching for this being posted before and have not found any discussions on it. Also, the JQuery Slideviewer does what I'm trying to accomplish: JQuery Slideviewer Demo
Is there a way to incorporate this type of button in JQuery Cycle? It seems easy enough to make the image a next button I feel like dividing it between the two shouldn't be that much more difficult.
I'm populating a select pulldown based on the value of a previous option on a pulldown
When I run it on the firebug command line it works fine, but when it is run in the source it does not populate the html with option's for the pulldown.
Is there a way to go to the next or previous static HTML page is JavaScript? I know in PHP you can do it with MySql and a database but I haven't been able to find any thing that will work with static HTML pages.
