I was wondering if there is something like document.ready; to trigger after all the DOM+Js is loaded. document.ready is triggered when the DOM is ready, but the js might be still loading, i would like to trigger an event only after DOM along with all the JS is loaded.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have developed a FF extension that loads a few JavaScript files (one of which is jQuery) and attaches them to any given page being viewed by the user. The loading of the js files can ether happen during or after the web page had been loaded into the browser. Obviously, once the js files get loaded, I want to start doing some stuff and I wanted to use the jQuery.ready method to determine when the js code can start performing whatever needs to be done. However, it does not seem to get fired if the extension only starts loading the js files after the web page has already been fully loaded. Generally, there does not seem to be a method in FF that tells me if the web page is loaded or not but rather, only an event that can get fired upon page load.

Each tab dynamically loads content through an Ajax Call.Drupal has a javascript file called tabledrag.js which allows the users to order the elements of a table by dragging them up and down in the list and this will reflect the elements position when you submit the form. When the content of the Ajax tab loads, I need the document.ready code (or drupal.behaviours, the equivelent) to fire off.However, this code has already fired when the page first loaded, as opposed to the content inside the ajax tab. How can I force reload the tabledrag.js so that it will re-run its document.ready behaviour?

When the page is first loaded, it triggers the alert. It doesn't seem like it would because it is in the livequery function. Why does it do that?
I have noticed on a few occasions where I navigate to a page and the document.ready() function gets called and executes. I then push a button on that page which calls a javascript function that does a jquery submit to the same page I am currently on. This time, document.ready() does not get triggered. How do I make this happen the second time, have the stuff I want on page ready be executed? I am using Chrome if that helps.

In my case, I want to bind a keyup event to the textareas that jeditable creates. I could probably create custom plug-in (to the plug-in :) to do the job, but I'd like to use live or delegate if they would work.
I have an html page with a lot of JavaScript functions that all work fine. Then I decided to add a jQuery function, but the document ready is not executing when the page loads. I am experiencing unexpected behavior using $(document).ready() on a page where I inject jQuery after the page has loaded and then attach listeners to the ready event. The ready() event is never called using Firefox and Safari however it is called using IE. Is this a jQuery bug? Is it working as designed?

I'm working on hiding all of a page's content immediately via Javascript. I want to avoid using CSS to display none just incase I run into users who don't have JS enabled.
I wanted to get advice from others and see what the difference is between using jQuery actions within $(window) or $(document).ready. From what I understand, $(window).bind("load, function(){ etc. will only use the script once all contents on the page are loaded, including images?
And $(document).ready(function(), etc just requires the DOM to be ready but will still execute code even if images, etc. aren't loaded.

The form is loading fine, but for some reason the submit() is not getting attached to the form. Therefore when I submit it is running member.php from the form "action". Ultimately, I want to be able to run member.php from $.post() so that I can tell member.php that JavaScript is enabled.
On my webpage, I dynamically create an iFrame when a button is pressed, then load a html page from within my own domain into the iframe, based on what html page is loaded into a variable. My question is, can I dynamically change the font family of the loaded html page from the javascript of the main page? My code to create the iframe is:

the variable "subTxt" has the url of the html page to be loaded (always on the same domain). The code: document.subIframe.document.body.style.fontFamily = "Arial"; was my attempt to dynamically change the font, but it didn't work. Also, it should be noted that there is no font family set in the html pages which would override this.

I used the hidden form to change the url to text - advice from another website. I'm sure there are better ways to do it, but I'll explore them as soon as this thing actually works..The types are in a subfolder named types, as shown. The document.write was placed in as a debug helper, and it displays the proper file location of whatever I select with the combo box, but the iframe doesn't change it's src to the selected page! I've tired the last line of the last <script> with several different methods, none of them producing any effect whatsoever.
I have a page with a div that contains other divs. In the outer div, I have links that add new divs inside. I also have a link outside the outer div that adds more of those outer divs to the page (with an inner div, and the same links to add more). This works on the div that is hard coded on the page, but when I use the link to add additional container divs the links inside there to add more inner divs does not function.

I've studied the documentation that comes with tinyMCE and it still kinda puzzles me what I have to do to "dynamically load" tinyMCE.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am trying to use the Multi Drop Down Menu plugin available at CodeNothing.com. However the problem is occuring even without calling the functions in the plugin. (It occurs when I call the functions in the plugin as well but that doesn't matter)I am experiencing some very strange behaviour. I havesome standard nested unordered lists where the top list is given the id multi-ddm. Now when I run the code below I get 1 alert (which is correct as I only have 1 child li element) saying hello.
