I'm trying to develop a function to resize a control upon window resize. In regular javascript I would make a global array of control names and append code to the event that cycles through and resizes each control.For example
var proportionalizedImages=new Array(); proportionalizedImages.push(document.getElementById(ctrl)); if (window.addEventListener)[code]....
I'm wondering if there's a more elegant way to do this in jQuery. I've played around with it a bit, but i'm unsure how to get the control object to the resize function triggered by window resize without a global variable.
Inline scripting makes this easy but I'm getting Typeof MissMatch error when I use Unobtrusive script and I think it's because of the diffrence between DOM and DHTML.

This writen in the js of the index.html containing the IFRAME 'display' runs once imediatley on load then imediatley after throws 'typeof mismatch' error.
Basically I created a nice Jquery function to resize a window to the content on an Iframe. Because the Iframe has PHP in it which pulls a list of stockists and Iframes dont Auto resize to fit its contents if it pulls extra info.
[Code]...
So this bit of code is embedded into my Iframe, all its suppose to do is get the documents (the Iframe's) current height then it selects the parent document ( the one containing the Iframe ) then it basically adds the height to the attributes.
THE PROBLEM: It works great, the first time you use it. BOOYAKASHAA. However when you click a another stockist on the list. A smaller list for example... it keeps the height of the document really big. So it initially makes the space bigger to accomadate the list. But does not go smaller afterwards?
Im using the cycle plugin trying to make a banner slide tha is 100% the width of the window, my problem is that when i resize de window the banner does not align center, it stays somo what left align. So is there a way to keep the slides align center after you resize the window usingthe cycle plugin? or is there another plugin that i can do that? I attached a image to ilustrate, the white banner with the cat should align center when i resize the windows but it stays left align.
I have an list <li> of uploaded files. Next to each file is a remove button In my js file I have code like the following
[Code]...
Now if the user uploads a new file via ajax, the <li> list adds a new rown with a remove button
But this button doesnt bind to the click event oulined above. How can I enforce this without a page refresh. A page refresh binds the click event to the new row
I'm trying to scale the text with the size of the window (I've also got all the layout sizes in ems, so this should keep the aspect ratio of everything the same as the window is resized). The code that I've got at the moment doesn't do anything -
I have a disabled submit button sitting in the fieldset of a form. What I'd like to do is attach a click event to this button, but from what I understand this can't be done since you can't attach events to disabled elements.
Is it possible to attach it to the fieldset? I'm not completely familiar with event bubbling but maybe it's possible to capture the element clicked?
I have a problem in attaching an external stylesheet to a newly created iframe in Firefox (1.5.0.2). If I use the code below (with a relative address to the file) the stylesheet would not be applied. I have to indicate the absolute path:
var uriStylesheet = "http://localhost:8080/panel/styles.css";
to make it work in Firefox.
NB: if I try to attach the external stylesheet to the topmost body (the main document) I could use the relative path without a problem.
I have created a classic Snake game. When I run the game in a browser, it works fine. But when I run it as an IFRAME in another window, then it fails to get the keyboard events.

I need to cancel the link and execute a function onclick of all the links within the span tag which has a class of "container" assigned. There will be only one span tag with this class applied.
I know you can get a specific tag using:
document.getElementsByTagName('span')[0], but I am unsure how to get the one with the class="container". I know there is a getAttribute method, just need a pointer or two to put it all together. Once I know how to access the specific links I want do the equivelant of <a href="hello.do?contain=yes" onclick="someFunction(this);return false">Hello</a>. I am thinking I can add a global function or setAttributes. CODE:
i have a dropdownlist with some values,ex: One, Two and Three; One being the default value selected on load of dropdown listWhen I select Two or Three, there is onselectedchange event fired and I can write custom code in handler. But I also want to do some custom handling when page is loaded and user justs clicks on default value of "One". I want to take an action when user clicks on default value, "One" of dropdwn.
Is there a way to resize an iframe dynamically so that you never get the scroll bar and essentially hide that there is an iframe? Better integration really.Basically I want to iframe a forum into my site so that the design down the sides and top which my friend does using iweb are not messed with.We have a central area which can be longer or shorter depending on the forum.
I am trying to get the event to attach to the button but it doesn't want to work the way I was thinking it should I keep getting the error Error: this.altme is not a function Source File: http://trainrec.localhost/jstest.php Line: 22
i have an iframe on page to hold record editing form - the form presented in the frame needs to be different sizes depending on the form size i want the page called to resize the frame but, i can't figure out how to refer to it from the page loaded in the iframe parent().$("#myiframe").height( $("#formcontentwrapper").height() ) ;
I have a web page which will display another web page in an iframe. But the content inside the iframe may change while the user interacts with it so I need to be able to resize the iframe height from code on the page inside the iframe. Any tips on how I can do that? I am using php and javascript.
I need to adjust my IFrame Height based on srource page height (src) given for that IFrame. I am getting it for the pages calling in the same domain like src='test.html', but I am not getting it when calling pages from other domains like src='http://someurl.com'.
