I'm using the Thesis Theme for wordpress (if that means anything to the potential answer to my questions) and I would like to insert a text enlarger/reducer button to my site to make it more accessible to my older clientelle. I've found code out for this use, but I cannot figure out how to add the code in my custom_functions file and then place it within my html pages.
View 8 RepliesI am creating a small CMS module for a client. I created a little form and when they click Submit, it goes straight out into an include (.inc) file, which is connected to the web page to be displayed.
The trouble I am having is that I'd like to create an additional button that will insert some text (certain html tags to make their life easier, etc) - I got it to work, actually. The script executes and the text is inserted - but once the script runs and the page refreshes (or whatever it does), the text then disappears. The only way I can seem to get it to stay put is when I use "onmouseup" instead of "onclick" - which means that every time the user accidentally mouses over the thing, it inserts the text.
I am looking for a place that offers weather by geo ip, I am wanting to put a side bar on my site that has the visitors weather conditions.

I'm trying to add an internal site search to my website, and it only work for some search items, not for everything. For example, if I search for Bud Light, Budweiser, Bud Light Lime, it finds them. But if I search for Stella Artois, Paulaner, or Hoegaarden, it doesn't find anything. I'm thinking there's something wrong with the javascript code, I'm just not sure how to fix it.Here's the code in the head region:

I created an aweber pop-over opt-in form and inserted the <script>...</script> code aweber generated.
The site looks fine in Firefox, but it seems that adding this little bit of code messes up the CSS of my site in IE8. Does anyone know what's going on or how to fix this?

I only need to show 2-3 choices, so I want to create a custom Google Maps XML doc that corresponds to a few search terms. For example, when someone types in "Tom Brady", I want a Google Map to also come up along with the Google Blog and Twitter Results.
On the map, I want to plot 4 points showing his 4 next games. I think I know how to create the custom XML for GMaps, but I don't know how to implement it so that when someone enters input, the GMaps will show up. I'm looking for a javascript/css code that can do the following, for a click button:
- When mouse is not over the click-button, a text should be displayed at the right of the button, in a bordered textbox - 85% transparency (hardly visible)
(- when mouse hovers over the button, the button image changes to a different one <- I know how to do this)
- When the button is clicked the text shows up normaly (0% transparency)
- When clicking again the button OR anywhere else on the page, the text goes back to 85% transparency.
I want to add something to my forum. Specifically, I want to add a HTML and Picture button for when you go to reply. Like posting an article here, there are also these options (font, alignment, insert image) I do not know how to achieve this but shouldnt be too hard.

It just adds the date value but the "motivo" value don't. I mean everything works fine at the first attempt but at the next it fails.

Based on them being checked I need to add that value to an input (which will be hidden) to be passed as a form parameter. The input they are added to is wrapped in xml tags. Currently it is simply overwriting each value, not adding them to the string. One value "IKNTK" needs to be passed regardless.

Using the jquery cycle code to display fade images in exactly as the demo shows. So far, so good.But, I want to add some 'static' text that doesn't fade with the images and will 'wrap' around those images. So, I want the images on the left and some text on theiright which will wrap around the images.

I've tried by just adding 'onclick=' to the element that actually shows the button, with a <a href="#" onlcick="..."> --element--</a> manner, and with a <span> and a <div> element around it. Neither of them work. The toggle script is 100% correct (using it actively with <a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="javascript:toggleVisibility('feedbackform')">feedback</a> ) Of course I made sure the div id had correct name and it is unique for the toggle function.

By pressing "Show" I want the text typed in the form to show on the same site, and then the user should have the opportunity to also place a symbol (the gif. file) the same way as the text and to be viewed on the same site too.
I'm try to set up a webpge that will play a live flash video on the left-hand side(got that part working) and display one slide of a presentation(jpg) to the right of the video. I would like to be able to control when the slide image changes by having some js check a text file on my server. The text file could contain something as simple as "Slide1.jpg". I will manipulate the text file with some code I've already written. Is there some simple js code I can put in my page that will cause it to check the text file every 5 seconds, and if the content of the file has changed, to refresh the image on the page with the new image? I'm try to get away from the "clicking" sound that is caused by doing a simple refresh of an Iframe.
