I am working on Salesforce.com application and want to have a standard button named "Save and Send Update" placed on Event object detail page to be hidden.I followed some sample codes shown on net utilising style.visibility/style.display attributes of Javascript. However, I am not able to still remove/hide the standard button.

I was just wondering whether there is a way to hide an element on another page after clicking on a button?Basically, I have a login page, and for testing purposes, I want it so when you click a button, it runs some javascript in a file called ajax.util.js, and I have a jQuery file attached to the HTML file as well URL..., and I am using Google App Engine, which im not sure whether thats relevant. I tried using the show and hide functions provided by the jQuery file, but no luck, i want to hide an element which is a link with ID admintools. I have also tried getting the element by ID and changing the display style to none and hidden but still no luck. Im not sure whether its only possible to hide elements in the login.html page.
What I want it to do basically is click on the submit button in the login page, it will then run a javascript function which redirects you to index.html (which i am doing using window.location), and then hides an element in the index.html page (id=admintools).
In Salesforce, I am adding what they call an "S-Control" via HTML/JavaScript that will display an alert if certain field criteria are met. The alert would be a reminder to hit the "Submit for Approval" button if the Quote Estimate is equal to or greater than $50,000. For testing purposes I added another criteria, that the Opportunity name must = Test and Stage must = Proposal/Price Quote.

I'm looking for a javascript that will detect the following user information: OS version, browser version, quicktime + flash + adobe reader + java + windows media player + sliverlight versions of the users computer.I am looking to put this script into an HTML page and the information be displayed so the user can see what versions of the programs they have. I don't know a whole lot about javascript so if there is a script i could copy and paste, that would be great!!!!
Also, is it possible to have the current versions of these programs displayed and automatically updated as well so the user can compare the version they have with the most current version of the program?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhat I'm trying to do is this: in the Home page, I want to add a big flash animation, that goes on top of the normal content (as in a higher layer). The animation will end after some point, after which I want to get rid of it, sort of like a welcome animation, that vanishes off after it ends. This way when someone accesses the website, they'll be greeted to a small non-annoying animation that overlaps the rest of the page, and then they'll be left with the Home.
But I can't find what I'm looking for. After a set amount of time, how do I get rid of the flash in the document? Can I eliminate it, make it invisible, unvalidate it or whatever?
I thought that instead of having the animation in another page that redirects to the Home, this would be a great opportunity to finally learn how to integrate flash with websites. After all, I've been meaning to learn javascript for some time now.

On the mouseDown I've added a inset box-shadow to a button. This needs to stay active while the functionality of the button is in use, then when the button is clicked again the functionality stops and therefore I need to remove the inset box-shadow. I tried to edit the page to remove them, but the page has been locked to editing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a form with several radio buttons in one fieldset (fieldset's are broke up by a wizard plug in). If you check "Yes" to any of the 5 radio buttons, all the parent li's with the radio buttons are hidden and a li with text appears stating you can't click yes. There is a link in there to go back to the original fieldset that when clicked, makes the li with text disappear and the li's with radio buttons appear. Easy enough to make this happen. When you click the link to go back I would like the radio buttons value reset, currently it is still on Yes.

So I'm largely okay with that, have found the #nav container and defined my background-image images but these are overwritten by textual digits and I'm not sure where these are generated from. Most likely something in my main.js file though I can't figure out what exactly. I'm using cycle as follows:

So I have a table with rows and basically I cloned it and then appended it underneath another table. The user can click on the plus button to clone the table (which on the UI looks just like a row of fields) over and over. Next to the plus button I have a minus button that I want to use to remove the cloned table. Here's my code for the add table button:

this cycles through and does what i need, however i have like 100 span tags ... is there a way to do this without having to identify every span ID ?
I have a page I am working and I am having some trouble with: I need to show and hide areas based on a radio selection. I initally started using the show / hide feature in Jquery but the problem is the elements need to be removed but then put back if the user selects the radio buttonagain as it has form elements that have validaion on them. The validation is still trying to validate the form elements becuase they are still on the page but just not showing. This is the radio group the user makes the selection from:
