Remove Box - Shadow On Second Click Of Button

On the mouseDown I've added a inset box-shadow to a button. This needs to stay active while the functionality of the button is in use, then when the button is clicked again the functionality stops and therefore I need to remove the inset box-shadow. This is the simple piece of Javascript I have written so far:

I want to remove a specific box when i click on the remove button in that box. I have a lot of boxes on a page but when i click on the remove btn it removes all the boxes. I just want to remove the box where i click on the delete btn.

i want to do something like this,
when i click a "CREATE" button a row should be created which contains 5 columns.
In
first column check box,
second column textbox,
third column textarea,
fourth column radio button,
fifth column a button with "DELETE" as value, which on click should delete the created row.
the number of times i click "create" button that many rows has to be created.their names also should be generated dynamically.

So I have a table with rows and basically I cloned it and then appended it underneath another table. The user can click on the plus button to clone the table (which on the UI looks just like a row of fields) over and over. Next to the plus button I have a minus button that I want to use to remove the cloned table. Here's my code for the add table button:

I've a function for my search form. Basically when you click on the form box where it says "Enter your search here" this value disapears when you click in the box. When you click out the box it re adds the value. It works if you click return on the keyboard and performs the search no problem. However if you click the search button with the mouse it removes the search term and replaces it back with "Enter your search here". This obviously will not return the search.
Anyone know how I can fix this so this does not happen on the mouse click?
I've used jsfiddle to add the html and javascript but it is not working in there, but works if you add it to dreamweaver and look at it within a browser. [URL]

where layer_id, item_id, and position are all defined elsewhere. I've been trying to get the images to append, and then run this line theDiv.parentNode.removeChild(theDiv) when you click on them consecutively(click to append, click again to remove, so three consecutive clicks would have the image shown and four would not), but all I've succeeded at so far is breaking the script's functionality.

I want to call the click event of the link (anchor tag) on the click of the button. I used this code below in the click event of button to call links click event and it works fine in IE.
document.getElementById('linktag').click();
But, this doesn't work in Firefox. I googled a bit and found that in firefox, you have to do something more to achieve this behaviour. So, I ended up doing this on button click to work in firefox:

The above code does the click on link when I click on the button. But my problem now is that I have defined a link as

and when click is called and mailto links opens my email client, it somehow ignores the subject and body parameters of the link. It works properly when i actually click a link element. but it doesn't work when i simulate the click event by code written above. above dispatching event code somehow ignores the link parameters?

I am a beginner and would like to know how i can change the class of selected element when clicked, but remove the same class from other element.
For the example

The jquery function is an external file and I also have .color which changes the background of a <li> item...
So what i am trying to achieve is that when "something 1" is clicked i want to get the class .color to this list item "1" for example, but when "something 2" is clicked i want the class .color to move on this li item "2", but list item 1 should not have the class .color at the same time..

I'm looking to get some code so that if the user clicks a textarea for the first time after the page loads, the text clears out, else if he types some text, navigates away, comes back and then clicks again, it does not vanish.

I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.

What happens is that when I click on a button, a random string from the RandomString variable appears below the button. e.g I click on the button and it displays 'AAB' and then if I click on the button again it may display 'AAE' and etc.
The problem is that sometimes it displays 'undefined'. I don't wanit 'undefined' to appear but why does it sometimes display 'undefined' rather than a Random string.

I downloaded a shadow box from the web that uses javascript and based on the size of the div it applies a shadow. This is great however when i apply a slider javascript function to it to make the div bigger the shadow goes nuts and does not like it.

I've tried a variety of ways to animate the CSS box-shadow property and have been having hit or miss success. Can jQuery animate the box-shadow yet and if so, anyone have code? I noticed a plugin that does this but it seems to get down into the bowels of JavaScript and manipulate and extend jQuery in ways that i don't want to get into.
I know that there's the box-shadow, -moz-box-shadow, and -webkit-box-shadow properties available, and to use them in jQuery they'd be BoxShadow, MozBoxShadow, and WebKitBoxShadow, but anytime I animate them I lose my initial CSS box shadow settings. More importantly I haven't found a way to manipulate some of the box shadow properties without modifying them all. In other words, I'd also like to animate just the x-offset without having to specify the entire box shadow string every time.
I assumed that this might be related to animating the border-radius CSS property and read a thread on stackoverflow about how to animate that, but it doesn't seem to extend as readily to the box shadow as I had hoped.

I'm developing a website utilizing Jquery Drop Shadow and thickbox and other things. I just implemented the thickbox and thought that maybe the slow response was my system (I've had photoshop, 12+ browser windows up, etc). I realize that may not be the case and I suspect jquery's drop shadow is a hog. I don't want to go through the entire code and implement a different shadow method at this point. Instead I'm wondering if anyone can verify this issue

I have a form with several radio buttons in one fieldset (fieldset's are broke up by a wizard plug in). If you check "Yes" to any of the 5 radio buttons, all the parent li's with the radio buttons are hidden and a li with text appears stating you can't click yes. There is a link in there to go back to the original fieldset that when clicked, makes the li with text disappear and the li's with radio buttons appear. Easy enough to make this happen. When you click the link to go back I would like the radio buttons value reset, currently it is still on Yes.
