As the attached image showed.
It seems that it is using pure javascript + dom only. But I can't found that javascript support displaying transfer info, including file size, transfer rate, etc. How can I archvie the simliar effect.
Finding Date Info 30 Days Into Past?
Jun 17, 2009I have JS code that will pass 3 parameters (Current Day, Current Month, Current Year) to a XSL. This is working correctly. However, I need to send the Day, Month, and Year, 30 days is the past. (ie. 06/17/2009 - 30 days = 05/18/2009).

Display Info When Choose From A Dropdown

When you choose the second one and then the third one the second choice does not disappear and it displays both. How can i refresh in between each one so that is displays only one?

Jul 9, 2010i'm trying to make a script which display all the info user has chose on the form before submission. now every thing is working as i expected, i have only one problem and it's with the checkbox element. the script is displaying only 1 option and not all the option that has been chosen .
this is the code for the specific checkbox -

JQuery :: Php - Drag And Drop Files - How To Get File Info
Nov 12, 2009Interested in building my own drag'n'drop file uploader using JQuery/AJAX/PHP. Basically I want a file-uploader that users of my site can just drag the file from their computer into a div I created, and it will then upload the file for them to the selected destination.
I would like to build this from scratch, and not use any plugins so that I can better manipulate the restrictions (file types, size, destination folders, etc.)Have scoured google with no luck, only plugins. Can anyway steer me in the right direction?
UPDATEI: how to do what I want. Just set the file input field opacity to 1 so it is hidden, and you can still drag a file into that general area and if you hit the text field it will catch it. HOWEVER, I would like to know how to increase the height/width on the file input field (tried basic css on the file, but it only increases the 'browse' button size and not the actual field where you can drop the file into. I basically want a big square div that says 'Drop file here'. So I need to resize the input field.
Populate Dynamic Content By Getting Info From External File
Nov 10, 2011I have a site setup, where each page has 3 <div> columns. In the 3rd <div> Column, I want to populate dynamic content. Basically, I want to have 1 external file, which holds the content to be populated. The 3rd <div> column on each page would need to pull the information from the 1 external file. I want to insert JavaScript in the 3rd <div> column to direct the page to pull this content from the 1 external file.
Example: 3rd <div> column could show Ads or Promotions. The external file holds the images, links, etc. for the specific Ads or Promotions. The external file can be edited just once and all pages automatically show this new content because the JavaScript in the 3rd <div> column pulls from this external file. This seems like it should be really simple, but I cannot find anything online that describes how to do this. I am likely not using the right keywords for my search because I am new to JS.
Way To Display Future Date
Aug 7, 2011I am a librarian and am looking for a way to get javascript to display a simple future date for books we need to pull off our shelf. The date needs to be 6 days into the future. I want the date to display as either a hyphenated number:ie. 8-13 (for August 13th)I've tried this a number of ways, but I am just not getting the simple date format that I want. I need the script to automatically account for number of days in the month, etc. and adjust accordingly. For instance, if it was July 31st, I would want the script to display Aug. 6 or 8-6.
I am not well-versed when it comes to javascript (read ignorant), but I posted below what I have managed to cobble together after searching online and playing with the ww3 school's "TryitEditor".
Formatting Date Display
Jul 22, 2003Within a pair of <p> tags I have two different scripts, each called by its own #include statement, and each displaying the current date - each in a different format.
The first calls only for the year( yyyy ). The second calls for a complete date ( mm/dd/yyyy ).
However when it displays,
- the first displays correctly ( yyyy )
- the second wrongly displays ( yyyy ) instead of ( mm/dd/yyyy )
How can I get the second date to display correctly?

I have two questions:
1. How can I make it dynamic, so that the minutes and seconds change even if a page isn't refreshed?
2. How can I make it display the VIEWER'S local time? It shows midnight when it's 9 p.m. my time, or something like that.
Also, would displaying seconds eat up a lot of bandwidth? If so, I might limit it to minutes.
Display Date In Text Box On ASP Page

So basically, just displaying the current month and the current date. But I would also like the ability to backdate by one day, two days, etc.. So the next date might look as such:
May 15
Which would be two days earlier than today's date, but in keeping with the same format.

The first two fields obviously contain text data, and the last is a file upload field.I can get the values of the first two fields in JavaScript easily by using:

But I don't have a clue how to get the contents of the file uploaded.
If I use:

var myfile = document.getElementById("myfile").value;
That simply returns the filename of the file, but I want the actual data in the file!Now I realise that the data probably isn't even accessed from the users hd until the form is submitted properly and sent to a server-side script (which I'm not doing), so I probably need a hackish method to make the browser send the contents to the JS function rather than as an extra 'package' to the server.

Download File With Current Date In Filename

I am trying to create a javascript where, on clicking a button, I will
be able to download the latest log file. But the log filename changes
everyday as it takes the current date as part of the filename. eg.
EMEA_20070806 i.e. EMEA_yyyymmdd
Also, the previous day's log file is stored in the same directory.
How can I create a button where it will download the latest log file

Data last updated April 15, 2011 at 4:36 PM (16 minutes ago). I'd like to refresh the date automatically without the user hitting Refresh.
