Using Current URL In Hyperlink?
Aug 6, 2009I am trying to find a way to create a hyperlink that includes the URL of the current page as a query parameter, eghttp://website.com/ref?url=http://mywebsite.com/thispage.htmwhere the bit in green is generated from the URL of the current page rather than hard-coded into the HTML. The reason for this is that I am putting it into a page fragment to be called up with a virtual include and will appear on hundreds of pages, so I really don't want to have to hard-code the link every time!I don't use PHP or any form of CMS, so I think my best bet is to use Javascript (it's a non-critical function so I am not too worried if it fails for people without JS enabled). I think I could probably cobble something together using document.write but I suspect there is a better way of doing it.

Apr 24, 2005I have code that basically will bold a hyperlink when a check box is checked. For example I have checkboxes that say;
Eggs []
Waffles []
Ham [X]
Wheat Bread[X]
White Bread[]
Cheese[X]
When those boxes are checked it will bold links as follows
Breakfast sandwich
Lunch Sandwich
Dinner Sandwich
What I'd like to do is while the check boxes are being checked it'll highlight those hyperlinks that fall into the checked values. When it reaches a value that it doesn't fall into it will unbold itself. So far I have code that when a a certain combo of boxes is checked, it'll highlight, but like I said. I'd like to keep the links highlighted until it reaches a condition that'll make it unbold. Code:

appended an image tag and the "src" attribute points an asp page in our
server.Here when ever user read the email this image tag will fire our
asp page.It is working fine if we open the mail in web browsers.It is
failing in outlook express.We modified the code a bit and replaced the
<imgtag with <iframetag.It is woring fine in outlook express now.
but it is not failing in web browsers.Do we have any other alternative
method to call an asp page from the email.

Dynamic Content Does Not Fire?
Jun 11, 2009 I am working on a little project I'd like to call post database and I got a little problem. when user clicks a page number, I bring html content from server and add it to page. And I can see the new content on the page. But if new html content has some java script it does not run. you can see the example on [URL]go to tutorials page, and click page 3 . new page will come. including following alert inside
alert('asdf');
But it show alert window. Somehow browser does not fire javascripts. Here is my guess: it does not work because you can not use javascript to shape pages after page load.(I just made that up. but there is no other logical explanation I can come up with.)

Jul 11, 2011I want to execute a function, when a user clicks on a certain button on my page. It works in Chrome, Safari, Opera and FF, but not in IE 9. The jquery-Code looks like this:

By Clicking on mapButton the function should follow. I tried it first with the input-Tag, then with the a-Tag and afterwards with the p-Tag. Nothing works at all. I also inserted a return false at the end of my JS function. How to handle it?

The problem is that click event doesn't fire. If I get it working, how do I get the contents of the row that user clicked. I need Name from that row.
JQuery :: $(document).unload() Does Not Fire?
Jul 15, 2009I am extensively using jquery.ajax calls to display data on my web page (which build using partial rendering). In certain navigation flow a user move from one page to another. Before he moves I need to capture information filled in by user in first page(form) and save it in java script variable. Since my complete page is built using partial rendering the first form gets unloaded and new form gets loaded making ajax call. In order to capture the data user has filled in first form I have tried to use [URL].. (form_id is the id of the form in the page) to update the java script variable with user's input for form1. But neither scenario my call back function gets fired. I am not sure if I unload will be corrent event to add callback function to update user input.

The thing which happends is that the alert comes twice. One time with the keykode 18, and one time with undefined in the window I am running the script. Also nothing comes up in the textbox where I am triggering the event.What I want to achieve is to fill in text in the input textbox and fire off all the related events in the opened window such as YUI autocomplete and others.
