Error In Popup - While Using In A Php File

I got an error while using the following java script in a php file...

Now, i just wanted to call a popup using javascript, it is working fine in firefox, but giving error in internet explorer on my end...(but, i uploaded it on the server and asked my friend to check it.. on his side.. it not working even on firefox...)
I dont understand what is the problem... if it is related to popup blocker.. then why it is working on my computer.. my popup blocker is working fine i checked all the settings...

I am developing a web page . For this i am using Javascript embedded in html. In the application ,the user can input data via interfaces in the page which is chosen and read from a master xml file , the chosen data then needs to be stored and saved in a xml file.I have designed the web page in FrontPage.
Now the problem i face is while trying to save the output xml file i get error Permission Denied , error code 0 . This happens when i try to open the page in browser IE 6.0 SP2.I am using DOM parser methods for doing the xml manipulations/savings etc.urprisingly this works in another machine.Also can i use the all of the same javascript code if i want to run it in an IIS. Do i have to do some changes to make it server side javascript code.

I'm having a problem on a particular site I am working on.

The problem is that when I try to close the browser in IE on the main page I get an popup with an error which says: "An error has occured on the script on this page"
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?
"Yes" or "No" (Buttons to Click)
I have to click the 'Yes' button about thirty times before the browser will finally close. Does anyone have any idea what this is?

Running htm file locally (double click) gives me security warning (XP
SP 2) but if I then select "allow script to run" everything works fine.
But when I serve page through IIS (localhost) I get a syntax error line
4 char 4. Of course there is no line 4 in the js file.
This HAS to be something simple I am missing but I have tried:
- with and without language attribute in script tag
- relative and absolute paths for the js file
- with and without Mime type for js set in IIS
Only remaining thing I guess it could be is file permissions but
everything has execute on it as far as I can see.

I have a site which uses a javascript fullscreen popup window which launches from the splash page (as well as a standard browser version for those with non-compliant browsers). All works well on both Netscape and IE, but if you're using Opera and you click on the "All other browsers" version, you get both the browser version and the popup version. This will probably be very irritating to Opera users. Unfortunately, I can't just program the popup for Opera compliance as well because it won't do fullscreen - it nests under the ad/control bars. Could someone look at it in Opera and maybe suggest a solution? Opera users don't make up a lot of my user base but I really prefer to be Opera-compliant.

Is it possible to popup a new window while not using the external file or url as the parameter - instead - I'd want/need/like to pass the source (of a popup window) somehow as the parameter?
Why? Well... I am dealing with a PHP debugger page and ... on the popup window I would like to display the debugging data that I collected from the same request/response.

I have code to make a popup via javascript and it works fine, but what actually pops up is an external file that i select (in my case test.html). i want all of the code of test.html to be in my index.html and when i call the popup it doesn't call an external file but instead calls the html code in the internal file (index.html)? possible?

I want to pop up alert when the user browse file into input for example I have this input:

Now, when the user finish to browse an file I want a function to start working, what I mean by finish browse file is when the user select file and than click on the file he selected twice and than when the browsing files windows close I want this function to start.

I have written the following code to read contents of a text file using FileReader object of HTML 5 for Google Chrome.

I am trying to save a xml file .I get Permission Denied error. However in another machine the same file is getting saved without any error.
Both machines have same Internet(medium) , Local Intranet(Medium-low), Restricted Site(High), Trusted Site(low) level settings.
In the code i read some data from a master xml file and try to write this read data into a new xml file .While saving i get this error.

actually there's no error in the code only that is only made to check for one input field and my form has 3 image upload fields, the original is:

I have a form where a user can upload a file. I do a check to see if it's a zip file. If it isn't then its supposed to stop the file from being uploaded. Only thing is, the file still uploads regardless of getting the error or not.
How can I prevent the form from submitting the file if the error pops up?[code]...

I'm trying to insert a dynamic js file which contains multiple functions in it (for the example : function x, function y) and it seems that my google chrome doesn't really like it so much. Is there anyway you know I can bypass it and make it work and both web browsers.
Code examples:

Later on I need to preform some actions with function x & y. Couple more issues I need to explain first there are number of js files (1,2,3 .... n ). Which all contain the same functions but with same data so i cant register them hard-coded. If I type the function x into the "ScriptFile" block, it does work.. its not the function problem. Same goes if i include it as source in the "ScriptFile" block (<script id="ScriptFile" src="/Mysite/js/1.js") this only gives me an error while using chrome, works perfectly fine under explorer the error says it cant find function x.
