Is there code to just underline linked text to a certain color (red) but doesn't change the text color (it was white & when hovered over, it still stays white with a red underline)?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm dynamically generating radio buttons, but in Internet Explorer (tested in versions 7 & 6), you cannot change the radio buttons after they've been added. In Firefox (testing in 3.6) it's fine. I've mocked up some code below which shows the issue. It generated up to 10 radio buttons (by random number) and checks that radio button programmatically. However you cannot manually select an already generated radio button.
HTML:
<form action="list.htm">
<div id="list"></div>
<button id="btnChoose">Add radio button</button>

I want to make the date at the top right darker blue. But when I do that, all the light blue text next to the pictures also changes.
How can I control the color of the result of document.write output without changing the forground color of the entire page? Note my document write includes variables, so I was hesitant to imbed an html command in the document.write.
i m using jquery datepicker .it's works fine in all other browser except IE the only problem with IE is that the when i m using datepicker it wont fire my text change events IE.works fine in all other browse . if i remove plugin then IE fires text change .so the only problem with datepicker + IE my page is .aspx and i m using .net

There are two radio buttons, sometimes one will be disabled, other times the other will be disabled. I would like to make a script that: First: Changes the color of surrounding text of the disabled radio button to the color grey. Second: Checks the other radio button.
This was my plan: I would make a script that: First: Removes all the current classes and add the class "greyed_out" (or better: change only the color of) the parent element, all siblings and children of siblings (if any) of the radio button that is disabled at that time.Second: Sets the attribute "checked to the other radio button". I made a script, but when I set the bottom radio button to disabled the script doesn't work:

JavaScript Challenge Play--Random Color (The English Version of JavaScript)
Write a function to return a string that can represents a color.
Requirements:
1. The color is random. The color string can be similar to "cf9c63", also similar to "rgb (211,100, 180)".
2. Code should be concise, clear, easy to read, good performance, and better than my solution.
And go to [url] to see more!
I have finally gotten my text to change when the links are clicked, but they switch make immediately, instead of when another link is clicked.I used code 'jscheuer1' posted on dynamicdrive which worked beautifully on the test page. When I attempted to adapt it to my site, the above happened.
the HTML Code:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>

I've noticed that the change event isn't fired on a text input when it's value is changed by JavaScript. It fires just fine when I type in the input and then lose focus. Example:
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#textinput").change(function(){
alert($(this).val());
[Code].....
I think have JavaScript which changes the value of the input dynamically.
what I would like to do with html / javascript is the following:
The url is something like: htmlfile.htm?color=blue
I want to grab the parameter "color=blue" and assign it to the
background color.
My problem is I don't know how to get the parameter via html /
javascript.
In ASP it's <%Request("color")%> but after searching with Google I
haven't come up with anything for html / javascript.
Do any of you know of a dynamic color selector (true color)?

i would like to change certain style elements of the array each time the button is clicked. I have 5 color sets i would like use for the page, so i would like the button to trigger the color change in a loop, ie when the last color group is reached, the next click returns to the original color set and it continues again.The things i want to change are the background color of two div's and the top row of a table. My style sheet is seperate, and I will also do the same for the javascript once I can get it to work properly.
Both work IE but not on Firefox. These are seperate frames.
or:
Its run via a couple text boxes and a button with thats built into the innerHTML using the following code.
Any ideas to get this working in Firefox? If I leave the coding on one page it works fine, its only when I do two frames that it screws up.
i was trying for some days now to find a solution for this. had a look at different posts and forums online, but no luck so far...is it possible to auto-create this with a loop???:
Code:

I am currently trying to change the color of my text in jquery. The problem im having is im not sure how to change my color back to the original css color when I click on the other link. Instead the color just remains and does not go away.(By the way im not strong on this language so keep it simple for me)Here is my code:
$('#navigation ul.submenu li a.sug').click(function() {
$('#navigation ul.submenu li a.sug').css("color","#e1519f");

So I'm trying to change the background color of a textbox depending on how many characters are enter (putting it green/red depending on count), and I'm having a hell of a time. There are 50 different textbox IDs on the page (give or take, dynamically generated), each unique/sequentially numbered (id1, id2 ... id50).Now I'm not that good with Javascript, but this is what I can up with so far.I was trying to use 'this.id' so I wouldn't have to name each of the IDs.

I want to change the color of a each word in a block of text. For example I want each word in a sentence to change to a different color automatically.
I was thinking that is if it was possible to move the color tags around each word and put a time delay between each time it moves but how I will accomplish these two actions.
I am working on a multiplication table and it is suppose to allow you to enter a value, and then if the value is correct, the text color will turn green, if it is incorrect the value will turn red, it isn't doing anything, I am not that good in programming with Javascript, so I think it's probably something with my code, all the elements are named properly the are all input fields.
function checkMath(s,n)
{
if(document.getElementsByName("math_"+n.toString()+"t"+s.toString()).value == s * n)
