I'm trying to make a web page that will have an extremely simple minesweeper, where a 2x2 grid is created and only 1 square will have a mine. Upon clicking the squares and no mine is present the square turns green and the square with the mine turns red. I cannot get the squares to stay their respective color once clicked.

I am trying to change the color of a link after it has been clicked on WITHOUT using CSS.
When the link is clicked some javascript is called. I can do this in IE by adding this "this.style.color = 'black'". However this doesn't work in other browsers. Anyone know how I could get this to work in other browsers?
I'm having a little bit of a problem with setting the background color through an onClick event on an option tag. When I click one of the options, nothing changes, although I set the body.style.backgroundColor to register to a different color when the option tag is clicked.

2)find the @ symbol and put it into the respective field and if there are more than 1 mail id load it into the same feild using commas.

4)find for words like road,street,block,stage,floor etc,if present then load it into the address field till the last comma is encountered.
5)the last digits in the address should be loaded into the pincode field.
6)the last word present in the address after the last comma and before the hyphen should be loaded into the city field.
7)find for www or http and load it into the website field,if not found leave it blank.

have been trying to rework this to call additional, independent sets of colors to cycle through (so it would loop thru a set of grays, a set of primary colors, etc). I would use perhaps a different function name in the HTML to call different sets of colors. ABOVE this form I have a table with TWO ROWS (ROW1 and ROW2). ROW1 should correspond with TEXTFIELD1, so that when the VALUE in TEXTFEILD1 is changed the background color of ROW1 will change to match the HEX,DEC VALUE entered in TEXTFIELD1. The same would happen with TEXTFIELD2 and ROW2. TEXTFIELD3 should be used to change the color of the TEXT inside ROW1 and TEXTFIELD4 should change the color of the TEXT in ROW2.
