My client wants a ticker, only with client logos. I've found several scripts which are cool, though no one is precisely what I'm after. Company logos vary in their proportions. I'd like ideally a script able to continuously horizontally animate images of the same height, but with variable widths. Found plenty of scripts moving same width images left/right, or using a carrier (table/div/layer) to contain a set of variable width images - the latter leads to blank moments my client doesn't like while the carrier is repositioned.
I'm very intrigued as to why this doesn't seem to have been done and wonder if there's a reason. Is the computation needed in passing widths in a variable to a move function too much for the client-side? I don't want to waste my time wading into repurposing a script for this if it's not viable as I can't pass that cost on to the client, you see. I'd rather bail and do it using Flash.
I looked everywhere for a image slider with continuous warp horizontal scrolling. I seen many sites in the past that kept scrolling client logos etc... like that. The ones I found mostly continue scrolling once all set of images disappear e.g.if there are three image,they scroll and disappear and then they start from the beginning.What I'm looking for is image 1, image 2, image 3, image 1... I hope I'm explaining myself well.Initially I was looking for joomla component/plugin, but i decided if I went for jQuery it'll broaden my choices.
I'm trying to put a Continuous Horizontal Image Scroller into a web site I'm doing. my computer crashed and I lost the script. I just want a group of photo's to continuously scroll (in a loop) along the top of the home page - no links or anything.I've also forgotten completely how I got it all up and working once I had the script.
I have this tweet ticker code that scrolls a live feed at the very top of the header. It runs on jQuery 1.5.0. The site I have has a vertically scrollTo div for each button pressed on the navigation. The problem I'm having is that as soon as I plug in the jQuery 1.5.0 which turns on the tweet ticker, it stops the overflow and the scrollTo. So when I click on any of the navigation buttons it jumps to the next page rather than scrolling smoothly.
i've made a horizontal Superfish menu which fills the containing div entirely, based on the description given here:[URL]Basically that is:

However, this causes the effect of the Supersubs plugin to stop working. Is there a way of providing a dynamic submenu width when having a "full width" Superfish menu as described above?
i am using the jquery superfish menu at[URL]. i cannot seem to modify the width of the menu items (or the <li>). how do i do this? i am using the superfish.css style sheet. i tried to modify the width by changing the values of a few classes (i.e. where it said 100% or had an em appended), but this did not .
My problem is that my page have a fixed width of for example 800px which the iframe width is 100% of this width, but some external websites I put inside the iframe have a wider fixed width than 600, for example if the external website have the width of 1000px then my iframe will have a horizontal scroll. I don't want the horizontal scroll to appear and at the same time I want the iframe to show the whole width of the external website. Is there a way that I can control the width of the external website and make it 100% of the width of my iframe instead of their fixed 1000px for example? I don't think I can but I thought I would ask anyways maybe it's possible!
how to make the menu items a fixed width in a horizontal Superfish menu . I've tried mucking about with the CSS but no luck so far. I'm sure it's easy, but I can't seem to work it out.
I want to set the width of a div to be the same width of the image inside the div.The following code works great. But...The images are different widths, so both wrappers are set to the width of the first image. Without having to add an ID to each wrapper or image, can the wrapper width be set to the image width using the name of the image as the unique identifier?

Ive never heard of this being done, but currently ive got a div which sits in the center of my screen. The div is about 80% wdith so there is a 10% gap on the left and 10% gap on the right. However, I want the gap on the top and bottom of my div to be the same as my gap on the left and right.
I need to somehow capture the pixel value for the gap on the left and right, store it in a variable and then use this number in my css for the top and bottom gap.

I'm a new Javascript coder; it's still pretty easy for me to get snagged on stuff. Anyways, I had a question for a specific project I've been trying to figure out.
I have an element set with CSS to a width of 160px. What I want is a way for users to the site to drag a slider back and forth to set the width of the button. Some sort of smooth animation while this is happening would also be nice. I'd also like a way to set a max width on the element.
So, can this be done? I'm guessing it would use jQuery, but I don't really know.
What I'd like to do is use some sort of jquery plugin to make an image scroller that has a grid of images and scrolls each row and column horizontally and vertically. I'm a bit overwhelmed though and not sure where to start. I want to use fancybox for opening the image so I was hoping someone could point me towards something that would help with the thumbnail scroller?

I am trying to access the width variable from my main page. Within the imageinfo.js script functions I can alert() the width value which returns 1024. But I can't seem to pass this variable to my main page or access it directly so that I can use document.write() to write the variable on the page. Whenever I try to call the 'width' variable directly from the main page I get undefined. How can I access this variable? However, with the test code below, I was able to get ducument.write() to write the 'width' variable on the page but now the page doesn't stop loading - there's an endless loop in the code...

I'm building a gallery page, that's setup like this:
- carousel based horizontal image thumbnail navigation. - main div that loads, on thumbnail click, a high res version of each thumbnail image that exists within the carousel nav.
this time, I compare the image width with the offsetWidth, however, I found the code above didn't work no matter how small offsetWidh is made.
BTW, I would like to make the width of image fit the current width of the document, only HTML works fine under IE

But when applying the above code to the image of small size, it always try to strech the image ,which will then look very bad.
