If visual basic and firebug doesn't show me any error and if code doesn't work on any browser...so what should i do. I did a little boring - to read my code again to find a simple syntax errors like - writte() for exemple.
But even that does not give me anything! Is there any good recomendations how to change it all?

I'm used to building objects in Visual Basic and I'm having difficulty simplifying this code into an object so I can just define and run about a dozen of them.
The code creates a button which changes on mouseover and on mouseclick. The button is a link to another page.
Also on mouseover the button slides to the right, giving a more intelligent feel for the user.
What are my options for streamlining this code so I can reduce the number of lines of code-clutter?

I'm trying to write some javascript code that should only run in firefox. I thought that document.all was undefined in firefox, but it actually is defined.
When I write it out I get

I recently made a simple tool that opens a website in an iFrame and tells the user how long the page took to load. I made it out of a premade stopwatch
When i run the test in most browsers (Chrome, Firefox 3.6 and older, IE) it works fine with the output textbox going from "Please run the test" to "Test Running" to [TIME TAKEN FOR PAGE TO LOAD] but in firefox 3.7 (Minefield) it goes from "Please run the test" to "0" every time and the page in the iFrame doesn't load.
I've read that Firefox 3.7 has a new Javascript Engine

So the following code hides/shows fields in a form when radio buttons are clicked, the problem is on the same form I have a checkbox and when said check box is selected the showing and hiding of the fields doesn't work.

I have a number of javascript files. Some my own and some which I got off the net in my application. First, there's jquery and then a bunch of plugins and finally, my own scripts to bind all the correct elements and get the page ready.
For some strange reason, none of the scripts get loaded when I load the page. However, once I open firebug to try to see what's happening, it works fine.
I noticed on the "script" menu for firebug when I click "show static and eval scripts" you can see my entire JS code un-obfuscated by firebug. The default option is just "show static scripts" which shows my code as it is - obfuscated.I was quite frankly horrified to discover this after shelling out on software to protect my work. Does anyone have any idea how I can stop firebug from showing this? Is it because im calling eval a couple times throughout the script?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have some half-working script I'm playing with that I half-understand (this is the real problem) which I'm having troube debugging because it always does work when I refresh.So whenever I step through my functions with Firebug everything does what I expect it to do: but if then I re-invoke my onchange event, not every step is taken and it's hard to see why because I can't "see" what it's doing after the page has loaded and the script run at least once.This is for hide-and-show in a form and all the other versions I see online are even less understandable than what I've got so far. So I figure I'd better debug the one I have.Anyone know how to re-watch a script onevent?
