I want to add a text field inside a div(div with id "my_div") tag dynamically(By clicking "Add" button). The code below shown is adding the new textfield after the submit button not inside the "my_div" div .
<html>
<head>
<script language="javascript">
function add()
{ .....
I had given as following:
document.f.my_div.appendChild(divTag);
for adding textfield inside div.But it showing errors..
I'm trying to add a text box to a form that has some other complications. My "mcomment" in the code below does work but will only accept numbers, and the whole idea was text.
Code: function n_od(type) { var f = document.forms.create_account; $("#id_od").html("<img src='images/nr_loading1.gif' border=0>"); subcat3 = escape($("#subcat3").val()); if (type == 2) $("#id_od").load("n_autos.php?step=115&w="+f.width.value+ "&fractionw="+$("#fractionw").val()+"&length_in="+f.length_in.value+ "&fractionl="+$("#fractionl").val()+"&mcomment="+f.mcomment.value+ "&mcat="+$("#mcat").val()+"&subcat="+$("#subcat").val()+"&subcat3="+subcat3); else { $("#id_od").load("n_autos.php?step=116&w="+f.width.value+"&fractionw="+ $("#fractionw").val()+"&length_in="+f.length_in.value+"&fractionl="+ $("#fractionl").val()+"&mcomment="+f.mcomment.value+"&mcat="+$("#mcat").val()); } }
I'm inexperienced with Javascript and I found this script, but I'm not sure how to alter it to do what I want. I have a PHP script that creates forms in a loop. $z in this case could equal 3, and 3 forms each containing 1 Position/Office field will be created including 1 Candidate field. If a user wants to add a new candidate for that specific position, I want to be able to add a Candidate text field just relevant to that Office/Position. With this script, I've only been able to pop up a text field under one Office/Position and not under any other Office/Position. I think it has something to do with my divs.
Javascript:
var inival=0; // Initialise starting element number // Call this function to add textbox function addTextBox() {
And this $('#addT2').click(function() { $.blockUI({ theme: true, // true to enable jQuery UI support draggable: true, // draggable option is only supported when jquery UI script is included title: 'This is your title', // only used when theme == true message: $('#loginForm2'), css: { width: '275px' } });}); $('#yes2').click( function() { var ITNO= document.getElementById("ITNO2"); var ITNM= document.getElementById("Repdate"); var Des= document.getElementById("Quant2"); var Cat= document.getElementById("Vend"); var Quant= document.getElementById("RecByt"); var r=confirm("Are You Sure");if (r==true) { var ITNO1=ITNO.value;var ITNM1=ITNM.value var Des1= Des.value; var Cat1= Cat.value; var Quant1= Quant.value; // unblock when remote call returns $.unblockUI(); } //return false; }); $('#no2').click(function() { $.unblockUI(); return false; });}); How if I want to add a datapicker() inside one of these text fields ?
I have an input field where the user will type in their name and a number, and this is then output (in real time) in another 2 input fields as they type them.
I am trying to animate the output text, so when the user types in their name, the letters fadeIn (quickly so it seems like they're flashing in) rather than just appearing.
The code I have for this at the moment is as follows (the bits in bold is what I would like to animate).
I have a text field (field1) already displayed on the HTML page. However, there's a link where you can add additional text fields to the page as well. When the link is clicked, the second text field is added successfully (field2), and when the link is clicked again, the third text field (field3) is added successfully. However, the third field does not add itself to the page, and the text for anything greater than a third field also isn't displayed after. This obviously means that my "fields" variable is not working right
I am trying to create a javascript form validation that will make a text field be required only if a previous text field is populated. If the first text field is blank, then the second field can be blank as well.
I'm developing a web page. It includes 2 text boxes. One text box for city and another text box for std code. I wrote the code for auto suggestion to city. Now i want to pre populate the STD code when ever a known city is selected (when city is selected from the recommendations displayed for city field).
I have a TabContainer on my page, and I want to add a keyup handler to the textbox, but somehow I counldn't find the textbox in my jquery function using $('#TabContainer1_TabPanel1_TextBox1'). Here is my code:
I am trying to create a tell a friend script and add the ability for the users to send the email to more recipients than what is hard coded into the form. I have come up with this so far but is wont allow me to let the user 'show more email fields' a second time. I dont know how to write the javascript to allow this? When I tried duplicating the divs and adding a 'show more' link inside the first hidden div it just showed both sets when I clicked.
I am trying to make some dynamic effect to a HTML page using JQuery.<br/> 1.<br/> When the user clicks a Radio field, the field will be highlighted.<br/> 2.<br/> When the user clicks the Radio 'Man', <br/>a Input text box will be provided immeditely just below it.
Here is my simple HTML page, but I don't know how to do with the JQuery part:
I am creating a small CMS module for a client. I created a little form and when they click Submit, it goes straight out into an include (.inc) file, which is connected to the web page to be displayed.
The trouble I am having is that I'd like to create an additional button that will insert some text (certain html tags to make their life easier, etc) - I got it to work, actually. The script executes and the text is inserted - but once the script runs and the page refreshes (or whatever it does), the text then disappears. The only way I can seem to get it to stay put is when I use "onmouseup" instead of "onclick" - which means that every time the user accidentally mouses over the thing, it inserts the text.
I have a text field, call it income, that when the input is > 0 I need to dynamically show the next text box, and if it is blank hide the next text box. I would like to use onBlur but can't seem to get it to work.
I am working on an iPhone Web App using HTML & CSS. I have currently got the JavaScript/HTML5 Geolocation picking up my current location and showing me it on a Google Map using Lat & Long values. I also want to add these Lat & Long Values into the 'address' text field on the page so I can submit the details.
Here is the link: [URL]
When I click 'find me' I would like the lat and long to be added to the 'address' input field.
There is a Text Area that user can enter text. assume that user enter something and put a dot Following values should be populate in a drop down at the place where dot locate .

I have a php script that lists some items which can be checked or unchecked. Now, I am trying to make a javascript that writes a comment field in a certain "span" - comm_'.$i.', where $i starts from 0 - if the check box is already checked (info retrieved from the database) or if the user checks the check box (when the user unchecks the check box the comment field should disappear). The problem is that I am unable to make it work properly (when I check or uncheck a box it doesn't work at all), I mean it only works for the element above, so if box_1 is checked it can only create the comment field in comm_0.
The error I get is - this is similar to the errors I get when checking and unchecking a check box: Message: 'null' is null or not an object Line: 64 (this would be line comSpc.innerHTML = 'something1';) Char: 4 Code: 0
My users are requesting that when they goto my search page, that the cursor already be blinking in the keyword field. Currently you have to click in there with your mouse. Is there an easy way to do this with PHP or even HTML?
I have this function that doesn't work. I pass it the td element and an id, and it makes an input field inside the td. That part workds. What doesn't work is that I want to add an "onkeyup" on the input field. Any help? Please??? I don't get any error on my javascript console in firefox, and I am not seeing any errors in IE.
// makes an input field that submits itself using setCalendarValue() when it's blurred (it will be blurred if [enter] is pressed) function makeCalendarInputField(el,hoursId,which){ var id=el.id; ......
I type something on the current textarea/input and all the values get removed after I add another field.
<script language="Javascript" type="text/javascript"> <!-- //Add more fields dynamically. function addField(area,field,limit) { if(!document.getElementById) return; //Prevent older browsers from getting any further. var field_area = document.getElementById(area); var all_inputs = field_area.getElementsByTagName("input"); //Get all the input fields in the given area. //Find the count of the last element of the list. It will be in the format '<field><number>'.
If the //field given in the argument is 'friend_' the last id will be 'friend_4'. var last_item = all_inputs.length - 1; var last = all_inputs[last_item].id; var count = Number(last.split("_")[1]) + 1;
//If the maximum number of elements have been reached, exit the function. //If the given limit is lower than 0, infinite number of fields can be created. if(count > limit && limit > 0) return; //Older Method field_area.innerHTML += "<li><textarea id='steps' name='steps[]' rows='5' cols='40'>
I have created a html purchase request form that people will fill out and submit to make purchase requests within my company. In this html form, I have a text field that is automatically populated when the page is pulled up. The text field is populated with the name of the person who is logged in and it is read only so they cannot be deceitful or anything.To get to this HTML Request form, you must log in through a webclient thus the server knows to populate your name because you are the one logged in. The text field populates because of its <input NAME = "OBProperty_CurrentUserRealName", which is a keyword the program identifies and knows to populate with the logged in users name into that particular text field.
That works all fine and dandy, so here is where the problem lies. When submitting the overall form request, the populated name isnt being saved/ carried over to the admin page so we do not know who it was submitted by.To make the persons name carry over and save, another field name keyword must be used.
Which is OBKey__163_1. Which it was suggested to me to make that the input name of a hidden field. I need "text field A" to continue to populate the form with the persons name using OBKey_CurrentUserRealName, then pass the persons name off to a hidden field containing the input name=OBKey__164_1, which will thus save/pass the persons name on with the rest of the filled out request form when its submitted.
