I'm having trouble getting two password boxes to work on the same page, which I created using the JavaScript Kit Encrypted Password Generator [URL].
I've used the code that this generator produces, with some modifications as given by cheesebagpipe [URL]. These changes enable the user to press the keyboard's enter key to submit the password (as an alternative to clicking the submit button), and will also refocus the text box and select the text in it if the user enters the wrong password.
The code works fine on pages with just one box (e.g. [URL]), but what changes are needed to make two work on the same page? (I'm new to web design and clueless when it comes to JavaScript, which I know isn't the most secure method of password protection, but will do for now).
At the moment, on pages with two boxes (e.g. [URL]), neither of the boxes work; this appears in the address bar instead: [URL] ('help!'=whatever has been entered in the text box).
The full code for both boxes is given below.
<div id="passwordBoxes">
<div id="password2">
<form name="password1" onsubmit="submitentry();return false;">
<span class="WhiteLogin">Keyboard classes login</span>
[Code].....

This is a secure solution for password protection with JavaScript. It works by encrypting the password and the content. Nothing is revealed in the source code, and it cannot be beaten by disabling JavaScript.
The download contains three files:
Protect Content.html lets you generate your own protected content.
Demo.html is a protected document, and as long as it remains unbroken, it's your proof that this software works. You can also use it as a template for your own protected pages.
Demo, with hint.html is another protected document that tells you the password. This is meant to show that the first demo is not a trick or a fake.

Let me first say I am not a java programmer but I can follow the tutorials and get some things to work. Here I am trying to create a password protected page, realizing the level of security is not very high.
This page of code, link1.html, will be blank and if the correct password is entered then I want to automatically link to another page, barcs.html.

I have a problem with JS on my vBulletin Forum and i'm really stumped to what the problem is. The problem occurs here:(You'll need to log in, user: spf_test password: spf, make sure the style is RoyalFlush (Fixed))Some of the drop downs (e.g. Thread Tools etc..) work fine but the ones at the top (e.g. Quick Links) don't work at all.

I have four pages.two html, one js and one php. First page is loginTab.html. There is a tab called "Tab One" when user clicks on it there is a script inside this html page which calls function and loads an external login.html form using ajax. in login.html there is a form and include external js code for ajax functions. What it does is when the user enters email and password and clicks submit then it triggers another ajax function which send a query to php file and compare those variables there with mysql db and returns the message to a div which is in login.html. The problem here is when I enter email and password and clicks on submit button it does not display anything. I am providing all of my code below
loginTab.html
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]">
<html xmlns="[URL]">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>

window.onload = initAll;
var xhr = false; .....

Let me start out by saying that this is for a small-time page with absolutely zero valuable information. PHP or server-side is way beyond the scope of my goals for the project.
Basically, I have a form on a page which I want to use to submit a password. However, I have realized that using the form submit always makes the browser return to the page with the form.
Well, that's not good when I want to redirect using javascript!
My javascript is:
Code:
My form HTML is:
Code:
How can I get this to stop going back to the page with the form after I submit it?

I have recently downloaded the jQuery Validation Plugin, and I want to use the bottom part of the demo [url] (Validating a Complete Form) and I have some questions to ask:
1. I want the validation to work after the user clicked "Submit"
2. If a column is wrong (username already taken or password length invalid) I want not only error message but also a picture in front of the error message.
3. I hope that after the user clicks "Submit" and then found a column is wrong then correct it, after the user corrected it and click to other place or other column the validator starts again to check the column the user just edited whether the user just corrected a wrong column or edited a correct column into error.
4. I hope to display a image in right of the column if that column is correct after the validator works.

function Validate()

var passphrase = document.all.challenge.value;
var re = /[a-zA-Z0-9]/;
if (!re.test(passphrase))
{
alert("Please enter a valid password!");
return false;
}
else
{
return true;
}
}
however if the following is entered 045# - this is accepted a being

I have a friend who wants to colect email addresses from visitors to his website. He really isn't looking for 'security', but is more interested in collecting emails and simple contact information.
Is there an easy way to have a short form (name, email address, phone number) which collects that info, then sends a password which they can use to log in?
Such as, I enter 'John Doe', 'jdoe@yahoo.com' and 骃-1212', then I get an email (at jdoe@yahoo.com) with a password. The collected info should be either emailed to an admin, or better yet appended to a text file.
