My website uses a very tall iframe to display catalog pages from an external website. I'm using iframes here to make it look like the external catalog pages are on my webpages.
The problem is that when a visitor goes to my page, scrolls down to view all the contents inside the iframe, and then clicks a link inside the bottom of the iframe to goto the next page, that next catalog page will load inside the iframe, but the visitor will still be looking at the bottom of the iframe on my website, and thus has to scroll up to the top of my website to see the top of the iframe's contents.
To see exactly what I mean, go here, scroll down, and click the next page link: [URL]
How can I make it so when someone clicks a link inside the iframe, that the page with the iframe automatically scrolls to the top appearing as if the whole website has refreshed?
I have a simple requirement, I have a list of URLs on a page, I want that when the user clicks on any one URL, then a text box on the same page is filled with some data. The data to be filled in is specific for each URL.
I have a form with several pull-down menus. I want to give the user the option of learning more about the choice they have made in a pull-down menu.
I'd like to create a text link that takes you to a page with the parameter which is the index number of the pull-down menu. I'd also like it to open in a new window.
How do get that value as a parameter to use in a link?
I want to have several text links (not buttons) on a page and when someone clicks a link text appears explaining the link. If they click on a different link the text is replaced with the new text.
I need a counter that will display beside a link, with the number of times the same link has been clicked. I do not have FTP access to the site, since it is based on a CMS.
I am trying to update the .onclick event after its been clicked once. Everything works fine in my script except updating the .onclick event. I have searched the web and found that I should do the following: div.onclick = function(params); or div.onclick = new function(){updatedStatement};
I have tested both of these steps in IE and FF with no luck. Here is my code: function movePhrase(OPT,MENU,ID,DIR,LEVEL){ if(DIR == "up"){ var num = OPT - 1; }else{ var num = OPT + 1; } ..... function newOnClcik(opt,menu,id,level,dir){ var string = "movePhrase("+opt+","+menu+","+id+",'"+dir+"',"+level+")"; return string; }
Below is an example or the div code I am trying to update: <div id="downImage1"> <img id="down1" src="images/downArrow.JPG" onmouseover="this.src='images/downArrowPressed.JPG'" onclick="movePhrase(1,20,331,'down',1)" onmouseout="this.src='images/downArrow.JPG'" width="40" height="40" /> </div>
I've got a select box that, when you choose any option besides #5, it changes the value of a related input box from 0 to 1. This works great except when I hide() the div that wraps this input box. My overall goal is to have the input (and surrounding div) hidden via hide(), and then update this input box when a select is changed.
Here is my code: $(document).ready(function(){ $("div#edit-qty-56-wrapper").hide(); function enterQty() { var attrValue = $( "select#edit-attributes-56-1" ).val(); if (attrValue !== '5') { $("input#edit-qty-56").val('1'); } else { $("input#edit-qty-56").val('0'); }} $("select#edit-attributes-56-1" ).change(enterQty); enterQty(); });
I'm new to jQuery and have a problem with links inside an accordion.
The simplified code looks like this: <div class="active-item"> <div class="available-items"> <h5>Headline</h5> </div>
[Code]...
The problem is, that the links inside the table are not active. If i click them, the accordion is closing What do i have to do, to keep the links inside the open accordion as normal links, without closing the accordion?
I am using the "FancyBox" script to load a larger photo, plus information about the photo into a window, ontop of the window.... which works great. However I need to pass the id (or other unique value) to the javascript so it can pass it on and get the right image and info.
My photo gallery thumbnails are loaded via ajax as well using the $.(#alpha).live('click') method, which should allow me to use jquery on the loaded info (as it has let me in the past).
I cant link out of link inside rotating tabs. The rotation is working fine. I have no problem with it. Bellow is the index.html page with <script type="text/javascript" src="tabcontent.js"></script> wich ofcourse has the JScript that is making it work. You will see another small Jscript on the index.html page that I've been using to try to make the links work, but to no avail.
[Code]...
I hope this makes sense. If anyone wants to see the entire code let me know. Right now I just got the rotator working. I just need to make the links work. I will post it for everyone to use as soon as I get it working.getting the links going.
I have a PHP page that generates a list box with several options in it.
I would like to have a "view" link next to the list box. When the user changes the contents of the list box, I would like the view link to update to point to the image representing that selection. So for example, if the list box held names of images I would want the view link to always point at the correct image.
To further complicate this matter, the selections of the listbox are in PHP variables.
I basically have little to no experience with javascript and could use some guidance in figuring this out.
I have a couple of links which when clicking on them start a video. In another div with id="info" I want to give more information about the video which is playing. When you click on a new link and the video starts the information should update. The information wich is in a list item is hidden with display: none before you click on the link. My problem is that the information of the previous video is not disappearing when I start a new one. I don't know what to write to make the information of the previous video disappear.
I tried empty() and remove() but then the div id="info" shows nothing. #info { width: 195px; height: 338px; border: 2px black solid; } .hide {display: none;} <script> $(document).ready(function(){ $('#text1').click(function () { $('#mona').show(300); }); .....
I'm trying to create a webpage where users can click on a dynamically generated set of questions:
<?php do { ?> <p><?php echo $row_rsQuestions['question_text']; ?><?php echo $row_rsQuestions['question_type']; ?></p> <?php } while ($row_rsQuestions = mysql_fetch_assoc($rsQuestions)); ?>
and by clicking on a particular question, there will be an update for their particular listing of personal questions in a MySql database. I know how to create the database update part, but I think that I would need to javascript to:
1) tell my page that it's time to update (i.e. add a particular question as soon as they click it)
2) pass along the correct variable to the database update portion of the page.
I'm trying to find the currently clicked index of .accordion_trigger from within another element.
When inside the .accordion_trigger click event I can simply do the below to get the current clicked index:
Code: $('.accordion_trigger').click(function(){ var index = $('.accordion_trigger').index(this); } return false; });
Obviously this doesn't work when called from within another element. I understand that 'this' is part of the problem but can't seem to find a way to form the code in such a way for it to produce a valid result. Thus far I only get -1 or 0.
When .accordion_trigger is clicked it has an "$(this).toggleClass('active').next().slideDown();" applied so in theory I shold be able to search for which of the .accordion_trigger's are "active".
I've also tried doing this via the below method but to no avail:
Code: var current = $('.accordion_trigger'); current.each(function() { if ($(this).hasClass('active')) {
I have a question, I have a piece of code that I've used before that works fine but in this case it doesn't seem to work and I can't really figure out why -
I have a table with rows and in each row there is a cell which shows the status of the row item.<a href="#" id="<?php id ?>" class="status_button">Online</a>When I click the link in a row the next code is activated (found it somewhere on the net).
$(".status_button").click(function() { var id = $(this).attr("id"); var dataString = 'id='+ id ;
How can I detect when a link has been clicked but the new page is still in the process of loading? The document.location.href property still displays the current location (understandably) not the one that's about to load.
I have a page that reloads every 30 seconds in order to access live data. If a user clicks on a link just prior to the page reloading the reload takes precedence over the link click and this is annoying for the users. Whe the page is about to reload I want to check to see if a link has just been clicked (and therefore a new page is about to load) and, if so, cancel the reload.
I have a page with several links that when clicked open a modal window. The same window for each link, with a form. However inside the form I need to print the id of the link that was clicked. Like so:
I have a link, which triggers a script, but when the link is clicked, i want it to get a border around it... currently tried onclick="this.style.borderWidth = 1px"
So I am trying to set up a registration form that when the user clicks the "Add Another" link then a new text field for the additional person and email field is added to the page. I dont know how to repeat this process to get what I want.
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-W3CDTD XHTML 1.1EN" "http:www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <head> <title>Registration Form</title> <meta http-equiv="content-type"
I have a question and I think javascript is the way to go...So here's what im thinkingI have an image of half a quys face. When the mouse goes over it, the image should expand to reveal the whole face, when the image is clicked, it will act jst like a link.
I have navigational links on my page, but when someone clicks one, i would like an effect to occur, and then the browser to navigate to the link and it usually would.
