I am having a problem to add numbers store in an array. arrayValues = 1; arrayValues = 2; var col = 0; var sum; for ( var row = 0; row < index; i++ ) sum += arrayValues[col][row]; My result is ==> 12 it is defining my sum variable as string. Even I try do do this var sum = 0; to define sum as numeric variable. my result was ==>012.
I have 4 text boxes that are supposed to load 4 seperate values of data from one field in one table from a database. The field is called interface_cropsettings (from the interface table) and these values have been concatenated and comma seperated in this field.
Once the form is filled out and saved, the data is inserted into the database and the values from these 4 text boxes are concatenated, comma seperated and inserted into that one field correctly.
If the 4 text boxes have the following values:
In the database field they become:
However, if the form is closed and then re-opened, each text box displays the entire database field rather then each value seperated in the corresponding text box.
All 4 text boxes display this:
Also, this is kind of irrelevant but just in case you're wondering, this form is part of a cold fusion application!
I have a large form, that has text boxes of numbers in rows and columns. I need to sum the values in the columns, and put the total at the bottom of the column. But I also need to sum the values in each row, and put the total at the end of the row.
in my webpage, i've a form which contains several textboxes and a submit button. all the textboxes are generated using php looping method.so, what i wanna do is, when user click the submit button, it will sum up all the textboxes values and pop up alert message telling the total value.
I am doing a website project and I am currently designing product page.
I have created the text boxes dynamically(as many boxes as the user wants) and he can drag and drop the text boxes in the page.
I need to create a dynamic line from one text boxes to other text boxes and delete the test boxes which the user does not want. I have created the dynamic graphic line.
I know the values of the text boxes can be saved using php in the backend.
I've a page where I'm calling record from Database. Each record has an ID and a text box displayed on the page. When the user fills in the values of a text box, depending on the values of the text box i've to do some further work. For eg. I've to add two records if the textbox value of 2 records is same.
I'll try to create an example here <-----this is from the DB-------> <-----this is form field---> ID Task Hrs text box 1 adsfsd 1 a <---- user fills this 2 asdf 1.5 b <---- user fills this 3 eyst 2 a <---- user fills this 4 dghjfghj 2 c <---- user fills this 5 xdfb 1 b <---- user fills this 6 tyety 1.5 c <---- user fills this ________ | Submit | --------------
So the user has to add hrs of those boxes for which have same values entered by user. such as adding hrs of record 1 and 3 since both have "a" entered by the user, adding record 2 and 5, as both have "b" entered by the user and so on and so forth.
i am inserting values using AJAX.for single record its working fine. but i want to use five text boxes for the same function and for each text box i am calling same function.but now value are not passing properly..whetever passing first time only that value is going into database twice or how many times i have entered the values .so i want my function should work dynamically.with each add button should take value for that text box only.
here is my code
I'm a complete beginner to JS and have been playing around with a few test projects but I am stuck with one particular part.It simply creates a new text box if you press the Add Text Box button, and removes the text box if you press the Remove Text Box button. What I want to do now is add a usable value to each text box (e.g. the first text box will have the value "tb1", the second "tb2" and so on - so that I can post the data to use it further on.
I have a dropdown (picklist) on the page, and when the user selects one of the company names in the list the onChange event fires and kicks in some AJAX to get the company's details from the database. The details are just the various locations of each company.
The way I am doing it now I have a simple div on the page below the picklist and I am using PHP to draw out the entire HTML, including the values sought from the database, and then just using innerHTML on the div to dump the info in there.
So when the page loads the thumbnails cycle through using setInterval. When the user clicks on one of the thumbnails, it is supposed to open a new window and show the enlarged version of that thumbnail stored in bigpics. However it only comes up with a broken image link. Any ideas why this is not working?
I am looking to have the user input a word into a textbox then when the user hits an "Add" button, the word is stored to an array and then is displayed in a table. I also want the textbox to clear after the "Add" button is pressed. Next, I want the user to be able to input another word into the textbox and when the "Add" button is pressed, have that word stored to same array as the first word but just to a different number.ingredient(0)=first word; ingredient(1)=second word. Then I want the second word to be displayed right below the first word in the table, in the next line down. This is what I have so far.[URL]...
So I am working on an excercise that the User puts in a Lastname, Firstname, and a score via textboxes. When the user pushes the add student score it should show up in the text area with this format " Brown, John: 92". When looking at the logic, I understand that each text box will need to be different arrays if im right, and then I will have to concat all three arrays into the format and assign it to a variable. Then assign the variable to the value of the text area. I just cannot seem to put the function together or how you would go about it. how to go about putting it together. The first code is my body of HTML I'm working with.
I having been trying to make the data from generated (using div tags) pairs of textboxes into two separate arrays, a and b. I thought that if I label each text box pair a[i] and b[i] that would be enough to include the respective element in each array but that hasn't seemed to work. In fact. the only way I managed to retrieve the values from the text boxes was using "getElementById" and resorted to a for loop in order to make the arrays but that method appears to be able to get elements from only one pair of text boxes. Code:
I am trying to store multiple text values into an array when a check box is checked. for example when row1 checkbox is checked the values row1col1 and row1col2 are stored in an array. note however row1col1 and row1col2 are editable and not readonly. for example:
<table border="1"> <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action=""> <tr> <td>row1 <input type="checkbox" name="row1" id="row1" /> (when checked the text fields are editable) </td>
Suppose, Ia text file stored on the server. We all know that when a file stored on a server is opened for viewing, some bandwidth is consumned and the consumption increases with every refresh of the page and so on.
So if i use $.get on the client browserto reteieve the contents of the text file stored on the server, will it affect the server bandwidth consumption? I just want to make it clear that it is just a plain text file.
I'm looking forall posibilities as how to retrieve the contents of a text file stored on the server from the client browser without necesarily having to consumned any server bandwidth.
I have a listings page which displays results using images and text which are stored in a MySQL database, all is working fine. The images are pulled into the page from the database and each listing can have up to a maximum of 10 images. Some will have all 10, some probably one or two, so the page is coded such that if there's an image in the field, it displays a thumbnail, if there isn't then it shoves a " " in instead.
The results page has one main photo (image 1) and then a series of thumbnails (images 2-10) below it and I need to be able to set this up so that when someone clicks on image 2 it shows the full-size version of that image in the div where image1 sits, and the same for however many remaining images there are.
The main photo sits in a div whose id is "mainphoto" the remainder all sit in a div whose id is "thumbpix".
