Submit Button Appear And Disappear When Clicking In Field?
Dec 1, 2011
Having problems with the following a client needs me to replicate this contact page:[URL]...In particular he wants the subscribe/unsubscribe to appear only when one enters text into the text field (as it does here).
I have recently changed from using tables to div tags but this was the first website where I started to experiment with divs. Unfortunately therefore it is a mixture of tables and divs. But here is my page:[URL]..

Can someone tell me what I need in my code to have to subscribe/unsubscribe appear and disappear as it does at [URL].
When the user type something in text box, and press enter, it will submit the form data to test2.jsp, even without pressing submit form button. This is not what I want, I want to submit the form only when the user press the submit button.....
I have the code above, If I enter "meterNumber" in the input box "meter" and click the submit button, "yardNumber" will be seen the input box "yard".
I like to make it like the following. If I enter "meterNumber" in the input box "meter", "yardNumber" will be simultaneously seen the input box "yard" without clicking the submit button.
When you click on Add more fields, input fields name and email needs to be duplicated and REMOVE button must appear to be able to remove them if neccessary.
I have an admin page in which I enter information for a Math Education website. I have to pre-load 10 video fields just in case a lesson has 10 videos. This is an over simplification:
[Code]...
What I would like to do is load 1 single video field and then have a button that when it is clicked automatically creates another field. I'm sure this is possible but everything I know I've learned from searching the internet and reading a few simple books so my knowledge is fragmented.
So, I have a content div and a floating sidebar (that's draggable). When I click on the content div, I want another div (with id #formatting) to appear inside the sidebar. This is already working. When I click outside the content div I want the #formatting div to disappear — but if I click inside the #formatting div it also disappears. How can I get it to stay there when I click inside the sidebar?Should I use an if statement, or are there other options?
I'm having difficulty getting these two items inline. I wonder if anyone would give it a try. There seems to be a padding or length to the Search field that jumps a significant amount to the right.
I thought this would have been fairly simple but it appears the onchange event isn't triggered when a hidden field is populated by other javascript without user input.
I have a simple search box and autocomplete/suggestion ajax thingie going on.
What I want to do is have my "Go" submit button disbled until AFTER a user has populated the hidden field "cid". A user populates this field automatically when they click on a suggested option from the ajax autocomplete doofer.
Here's what I've tried at the moment but failed on.
I have a form with a text field and a submit button. I don't want the form to submit if the text field is filled in correctly. for example a email address typed in the text field area. I'm working with spry validation but i guess i need to add some kind of onSubmit event, with javascript. I have some idea but not sure what to fill in by the "if statements" in the script.
My first day with jquery, and I've just been playing around a little but have run in to a problem in Firefox.
I've set up a basic form with a name and a button (not submit) and one text field.
All it does right now is open an alert box when the button is clicked. That's fair enough. However, in Firefox, if I have the text field selected and hit enter, it doesn't press the button.
How would I go about making sure the enter key presses the button? I'd like to avoid using onclick and a method in the form if possible. My aim eventually is to post data and return it without a page refresh instead of create an alert box.
I'd like to create a quick and dirty validation method for a form. It's not meant to be very secure.
The way I picture it working is this - there is an input field that asks for a password. If the user types in the password correctly, the "submit" div tag will change from "none" to "block". , which will display the submit button. I just am not familiar with JS enough to know if that's possible.
I have a script that will slide a div up from the bottom of the page. The toggle button for this div however is going to be right on top of the sliding div. But, when the button is pressed and the div starts to slide down, the script hides the button. Here's an example... [URL] How can I get the toggle button to slide with it, but not disappear?
I am working on an MLA citation PHP script for books, and I already finished that part. I have the page set up so that the user may add as many authors as needed. However, when I use the back button, I notice that if I have more than one author, the dynamic text fields are gone and all data after the dynamic text fields are not loaded back into the proper fields.I've spent the entire day searching for solutions, and I tried saving the code to a textarea, then using that code to insert it back into the page on loading. However, I couldn't get it to work.[code]
I have a form with about 10 fields, and the action is sent to a php file which processes the form. Now, I also like to use a Thickbox such that the user can preview the page before actually submitting it to the process.php. That means, I have one submit button and one href, which href links to an iFrame thickbox to preview the page. My problem is that I don't know how to obtain the input values in the iFrame, without user clicking on submit (rather i want to get the values through href). something like the preview on this forum, except I want it on thickbox.
Here is my contact form:my contact formhen you click the GMAIL logo, a contact form pops out. When you click submit, I would like the box to change shape to fit the 'thank you' message I have made. An example is the video below (except it is done with a log in form).Video example:DropShots.comActual webpage:SoundCloud - Your Sound, At The Heart
I've never had to create a password field before now. I've done some research and found a basic code, but it doesn't seem to cover all the bases that I have to. Quote: default state is with password field ("OFF"). when visitor enters the password, the password text and field should disappear and a number of links to PDF files should appear ("ON" state). please no reload of the page. Also, this needs to be compatible with IE6.
I am setting up a form to enter a chat queue on my website for work. The form script comes from the company we are using to host the chat, but the problem is that customers don't have to fill out anything to enter the queue. I want the users to have to fill out 3 of the 5 fields before they are able to click the sumbit button. I've found a few scripts on the web that looked they like would work, but they were all for radio selections, and I don't have enough javascript knowledge to switch the correct parameters to work with input.
This is the script I am using; <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "[URL]"> <html xmlns="[URL]"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> </head> <body> <form name="channel00000" action="[URL]" method="post"> .....
I need the name, comment1, and comment4 sections to be filled out before the submit will go through. I don't care if the button is not available until they are filled or a popup that asks for them to be filled out, just so long as they can't enter chat without us knowing their name and whatnot. From what I understand, the bulk of the form script needs to stay the same so it directs to us and not another company.
On my form I have 3 submit buttons which handle different things.I am looking for a way to stop or continue form execution with a confirm box on the third submit button and the third only.I can't use onsubmit because that will trigger on all three buttons.
In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function, select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However, the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this? Here is my code:
$(function() { $("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() { var msgsCount = 0;[code]....
The following will submit the form data to popup by clicking the submit button. I want it will submit the form automatically to the popup, there is no submit button in this page. Basically this page should not show up.
