Something similar happens also for the zipcode.

The phone number field must match a 7 digit or 10 digit(with area code)phone number. I want to be able to include paranthese and/or hyphens for the valid phone number.

Phone Number Validation In Existing Form?
Jun 20, 2011Another newbie question here, I'm sure. I'm trying to modify an existing form with an existing validation scheme. I have to put in something so that the phone field that is entered actually contains numbers. There is no need for dashes, parens or any other divider, but we don't want to exclude them either.
I have gotten as far as this: [URL]..110620_1a.html (new isPhone function that doesn't break anything added at lines 119 - 127) When I try to add the call for the checking however, the entire checking scheme breaks, and the form just executes: [URL]...._110620_1.html (Added code is at lines 190-198)

Simple Email And Phone Number Validation From Form
May 17, 2009I am in need of some very simple javascript to validate email address and a phone number from a form.
The email address only needs to:
1. Check that the box is not empty.
2. Check that the text imputted contains an '@' symbol.
3. Check that the text imputted contains atleast 1 Period.
The phone number only needs to:
1. Check that the box is not empty.
2. Check that there is no more than 11 characters.
3. check that only numeric characters have been inputted.
I would like it to report (failure) back as text on the page under the box that has the problem rather than a window.

Well instead of having to type good or moderate every-time to correlate with the numbers, I want to find a way the category can automatically default correctly when I put in just the number. Ex, if I put in the number 100, it automatically knows to issue/ put Moderate with out me having to type it. I semi wrote a code .. Yet can't seem to know how to execute. I want the text box to be between 0 and 100, so if text box contains a number which is above 100, it will automatically change the number to the maximum number which is 100.

Nov 28, 2011I am trying to figure out how to make a random number I can plug into a script count down from that number at certain times of the day until it reaches 0. I would like it to reset itself at midnight every day. I'm trying to make it work with a script I found on here that resets itself at midnight every day. So instead of it counting down too fast, it would count down to the next number after a randomly generated number of minutes until it reaches 0. But it wouldn't necessarily have to end at 0 at midnight. It could go from 845 to 323 at the end of the day at a slower pace. Is that possible?

paramString = paramString.split("").join("<sup>");
paramString = paramString.split("").join("</sup>");
So if the user on my website types 52 it would return the following value: 5<sup>2</sup>, or just, 5 how do I detect something like this. if they enter: 5 how can I detect the number "2" and put it superscripted past the number 5. so the javascript reads this: 5 and returns this: 5<sup>2</sup>
