Select In Form
Jul 20, 2005
I'm making a script, that should allow users to change a select box, and
this changes the alt and the src of several images.
I have made a script (see under) that exactly does what it's supposed to do!
My problem is that this was just a page to test,
now I'm implementing it in my page
And as soon as the select box is inside the form, when I change the select I
get an error "this object doesn't support this property"
When the document loads, the javascript function gets triggered a first time
without a problem, so the error has to be something about the
<select name="set"
what am I doing wrong? Code:

I've seen a variety of implementations around that enable selecting all or no checkboxes by using a checkbox to toggle that choice. However, I'm trying to find a way like this: I have two text links on my page: Select All, and Select None. How can I get those links to call a jquery function to select all or select no checkboxes in my form? As a little food for thought:
<head>
$(function() {
//function for selecting all or none...is there a way to make a single function that passes in a parameter to differentiate between selecting all or selecting none, or do I need a separate function for both?[code]....

for (i=1;i<=ile;i++){

formObj.appendChild(pole);
a=document.createTextNode("Name of accompanying person #"+i+" ")
formObj.appendChild(a);
formObj.style.fontWeight='bold'

What should be in changed in line:
var formObj = document.getElementById("dane").
to make it work with something like this
<form name="dane">
<select name="accomp">

I'm trying to create a listbox using <select> HTML tags that can do
a form submit when an option in the list is selected. So far this works,
function MySelectSubmit() {
document.myform.submit();
}
with HTML:
<form name="myform" method="post" action="myselect">
<select name='myselect' size=Ƈ' onChange='MySelectSubmit()'>
<option value='hi' selected='selected' >Hello</option>
<option value='bye'>Goodbye</option>
</select>
</form>
Now my question is how can I make the javascript method general enough
so I can pass in any form so that it does not have to refere to "myform"
in the body. I tried the following but it doesn't work:
function MySelectSeubmit( aform ) {
document.aform.submit();
}

I'm making a form with some select options, and when clicking an option from the drop down, another option will appear.
The thing is that it seems to work in the most common browsers, but for myself, as a beginner in Javascript, I don't know if it's written the correct way. What could be done better?
Aswel, before I write further to this part of code, I want to know that the value of the second option will pass correctly via the PHP process script afterwards... because initially, the second option is not mentioned in the .html file, it comes in virtually by the javascript.
Html:
Code HTML4Strict:
<form action="link-to-php-process-script" method="post">
<p>
<label for="blabla">Choose: </label>
<select name="blabla" id="choice">

<select name="name"
<option value="10"selected>10</option>
<option value="25">25</option>
<option value="50">50</option>

</form
when a change in selection is made, I would like to obtain the form element in the f() function.
I know that it can be done using the form name or index.
I am looking for a way to do it via the <select> element itself.
Something along the line of:
Code:
is this possible? a browser compatible method is prefered

I have a website [url] that I'm working on. The website has some javascript usage and some jquery (via a shadowbox mod). If you select the form - Free Quote or Schedule Service - the form pops up and you can fill out the information. You get the quote and then you can choose to schedule service by selecting that button.
For some reason the value that is in the drop down doesn't get emailed and I have no idea why. Let me know if I did a crap job of explaining or if some code needs to be posted. I figured one could just access the source of the website and tell but I dunno.
If you need to go directly to the form code you can use the url: [url]

I am allowing a user to selected a date to schedule an event and it
seems like the best way to do this is with drop down menus for Year,
month, date. However I would like to make it so when you choose a year
and a month the appropriate days for that month show (i.e. 28 days if
you chose February 2006). I can easily do this with a loop if I can
find out what month the user has selected, but I can't seem to find a
way to get that value. Is there a simple javascript solution to this
problem?

This is for a voting system, a simple top list.My setup (psuedo setup really) The "o" is a radio button.1. Cat - Points: 5 - o [Vote]2. Dog - Points: 3 - o [Vote]The goal? The select box is populated on page load in the following format....
<select id="state" name="state">
<option value="1">ALABAMA</option>
<option value="2">ALASKA</option>

Everything populates correctly except where I try to set the val on the state select field. It does not change at all. I need it to display the statename with the value of the state (number).
