Modify JS Code For Multiple Photo Galleries On Same Page?
Apr 4, 2009
I have obtained script for a photo gallery and have placed it on a web page. I have duplicated the html code 2 more times for the additional 2 galleries I need. The first one works, the other 2 don't (nothing happens when you click on the thumbnails). I know I need to refer to the other 2 in the javascript file, but I'm not sure how. Here is the javascript file code for 1 gallery, which I need to modify for 3 galleries, but don't know how...
clickMenu = function(menu) {
var getEls = document.getElementById(menu).getElementsByTagName("LI");
var getAgn = getEls;
I'm currently using the script here for a very simple image gallery on my site. I was wondering if it was possible to have multiple galleries on one page.
I am trying to set up a photo gallery on a website using the Galleria Javascript. I managed to setup one gallery but I don't know the code to setup another or another two galleries on the same one page. Can anyone help me urgently? When I try to post the code twice, it gives an error message.
I'm not sure if this is the right group to post in. If it is not, please let me know where I should be posting.
I have been looking all over the internet for free javascript code for a photo gallery that has the following features. Do you know where I can find this?
1. Allows you to use different size photos 2. lets you put a few lines of text under the photo 3. Has navigation arrows (left and right)
As title: $.readyList is not exposed after 1.4. but it is very useful for our projects. we save this list and call all method in it after doing some ajax operations.
I am working on connecting a web application to a folder of photos that has some photos named with their "master" attribute (e.g. folder/master.JPG) and others named with their "name" attribute. I can't change the name of these photos.
I want to be able to check first the "master" attribute, then the "name" attribute, and then display a "no photo available" image if trying both attributes resulted in an error. However, I'm not sure why I can't get to the "no photo available" part.
Here's what I am trying (hopefully the other parts of the code are self-explanatory):
Code: function selectionEvent() { var link = PHOTO_PATH + masterSelected + ".JPG"; document.getElementById('Image').onError = masterError;
[Code]....
The first two functions work fine (photos can be looked up by "master" and "name" names), but selecting a record with no photo results in what I think is an infinite loop. I don't understand why the second function can't get to the third function in case of an error? Do I need to somehow clear the first error first? Or is it something else entirely?
I am unable to solve two problems when creating a contacts form using dreamweaver CS3. My other problem is posted under the heading, "Setting text field to accept only alphabetical characters".For this posting, can someone please tell me how to modify my code, pasted below, so that the "Contact Tel" and "Confirm Contact Tel" text fields are compared and must be identical before the user can successfully submit the form.Here's my current code
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
[URL] that is the code in all its basic form (just stripped out other html). I am trying to modify the form actions of the 3 forms when i click on the tabs at the top of the page. but only the action of the delete form (id=form-horse-delete) gets modified. the other 2 forms do not change. i am not sure what the problem is. in IE8, if i have the jquery modifying the action of the 2 forms (add/delete), it gives a JS error. if i take out the add/delete in jquery, there is no JS error.
What I am trying to do is insert a simple piece of javascript somewhere on the page that will modify the href location of every link on the page to a specific value defined in the script
Such as
Lets say for example the page contains 3 links
<a href="http://www.somesite.com/page1.html">Some site</a> <a href="http://www.somesite.com/page2.html">Some site 2</a> <a href="http://www.somesite.com/page3.html">Some site 3</a>
[Code]....
I am doing this so that once the bit of javascript is entered into the code of the page, all links on that page get replaced with a link pointing to a special offer page(including the original link as a variable)
how I write the javascript to update all links on the page on the fly every time the page loads??
I would like to have a code on my page that causes two or more photos to change between each other. For example, photo 1 is shown for a little while, then it switches to photo 2, etc. I would also like to switch text that goes along with the photos. I would like my layout to look like this:Photo / Text about Photoand have both switch after a little while, to the next photo and text.
Using the DOM the non-standard but widely implemented innerHTML extension, the following would be sufficient to modify the content of any element that can have content:
« <div id="anID">Some Content</div» with script of « document.getElementById("anID").innerHTML= "Some <em>new</emContent"; »
Where "anID" is the (unique on the HTML page) ID attribute value of the element to modify.
The script below adds support for « document.all » capable browsers. Support for NN4 is also possible, but certain issues mean that it is not listed here. Using the example above, the call would be written:
I don't know how to write jquery scripts, but I can modify a little. I have a script I want to use, but I want to duplicate this script several times on a page. I know it has something to do with assigning classes, but I can't figure it out. I put a new instance in a div, I want to do this several times on the page, the class is thumbs, but I guess I have to have a different class for each instance, becauseon the 2nd instance (div) when I click on the thumbnail, is effects theimage in the first instance (div). I need to have each instance work indepently in each div.
I am creating a basic page for a client to allow them to update photo captions on their own. The test page is here: [url]
There are only 4 photos right now for testing, but eventually there will be 100's. The issue I'm having is that only the first image caption is being updated. If I edit the caption for photo #4 and click update, it appears to update, but it actually doesn't. Further testing shows if I change the caption for #1 and click submit on ANY other caption, it updates #1. This makes me think that the jQuery code is only referencing the first form.
I know I could use ID's on the forms and in the jQuery to differentiate the forms, however the form HTML code is generated with PHP and there will be 100's of them. Is there any way for jQuery to determine which form was submitted? I need to be able to tell which form was submitted so I can use that form's caption text to update the photo caption via SQL (photo info stored in an SQL database).
Here's the code from the page. The forms are generated via PHP:
want to take this redirect script and modify it so that it rotates a banner image instead of sending the user to another page. The script works so that if the window is out of focus for 10 seconds, it redirects. The images are defined in an external style sheet so I guess I'll have to move that into the document. Also, I want it to be able to work more than once with multiple images, like if the user opens a new tab, comes back, goes to a different tab, the image should change twice. Here's the script:
<script type="text/javascript"> var xScroll, yScroll, timerPoll, timerRedirect, timerClock; function initRedirect(){
I want to load an html div in a variable, modify it in another variable; and then change the document injecting the contents.
1. I load the html to be changed in a variable (code) 2. I modify an attribute of <param> using attr() and I put the result in a var (newcode) 3. I change the html in the doc
I've used the debugger, and all steps give the expected results, except of newcode.html(), which is a null string. Why?
how to make the following two simple image galleries:This one displays a specific image when its link is clicked ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/gallerysimp.html) And this one displays the previous/next image for whatever's showing ((URL address blocked: See forum rules)/tests/prevnext.html). (During its code, it points to this .js file ((URL address blocked: See forum rules) /tests/ nextPrevious.js).)
My question is, how do I combine those two galleries? How can I make one gallery that contains both kinds of links? Since the two galleries were copied from different places, the names they use aren't the same, and I'm not sure what to change to make it all unified. (I tried fiddling with it for over an hour before giving up.)
I have a file that generates web galleries in Adobe Lightroom. They are generated depending on which files are selected and the metadata in those files.
Basically it is a series of pages of thumbnails called index.html index_1.html index_2.html etc.
Then a set of pages for each individual image.
An example can be seen here: [url](the page navigation links are not great, but I have addressed that, they're at the bottom >> )
Currently if a user clicks on a photo there is a 'return to thumbnails button at the top, but this always takes them to /index.html
So the user could be at a picture after browsing to /index_39.html and still get returned to /index
Is there any way I can use history.go to find the last instance of index.html Or index_x.html (where x is any number) and take them back to that instead?
I am trying to make a gui for clients to edit a php page that displays html and javascript.
I want the user to be able to move html elements around and even edit it like add effects like fade in and out etc.
Then after all the changes I want to overwrite the existing php file that does this for that user. how can you make such changes and then save it to a file?
It's an html / javascript editor but using a gui instead of allowing them to directly touch the code. It would be a security risk if I allow such a thing. So I need to program a interface that would make such changes and save them to file.
Like how can you delete and add new javascript code to the file?
I am using a Photo Gallery script called Galleria which uses jQuery/JavaScript to display photos. On my index page load (only in Internet Explorer), a message box pops up saying "Message from Web Page [object Object]". After clicking OK the photo gallery loads and there is no problem.No idea how to fix this, or really what the error means. You can view the error from my site here
Can someone provide me with the javascript code for deleting multiple rows..i.e..User will be selecting certain rows with checkbox and on clicking on the delete button,those checked rows should be deleted..I want it in Javascript and not Ajax.
So today I have discovered some malicious JavaScript code inserted into a bunch of my pages on a webserver. Access to these pages through FTP is granted to 3 people, myself, my boss, and a contract programmer. Unfortunately, the FTP server wasn't set to log, so I can't tell for sure if it was the programmer, but my assumption and suspicion is that it was him.
This code was inserted at the bottom of multiple pages. I can't make heads or tails of it, but it cannot be good, whatever it is. When I view the page that it was on, I noticed the web browser connecting to [url]. Browsing to this page takes you to some foreign hosting site. Googling superseasilver.ru only provides a page that has this address listed in a blacklist.
What I am trying to do is have an input box where the user inputs a word(s), the a button which onclick changes the user's input data so that each line is modified to have a "<<" before the word and a ">>" after.
Since its not multiple its not going to show all the 3 options selected, so I created a little button with the easy statement in JQuery it is working, it makes the Select Multiple, it expands the Select and make the items selectable, but on the other hand it does not show the already selected options.
Is there a way you can control history on a specific iframe?
Let say you have these file
index.html
a.html
b.html
As you can see it's just very simple page w/ 2 frames. I created 2 button that is specific to iFrame's history but... it does not work... Yes, it does perform "back" but at the the "top" level and not at specific iframe.... I tried this on both firefox and chrome..same behavior..
