Make An Application That Animates A Ball Bouncing Up And Down?
Jan 5, 2010
I'm trying to make a Javascript application that animates a ball bouncing up and down. I have five image files (ball1.jpg, ball2.jpg, etc located in the same folder as my html file. Here is my code:
[Code]...
My code also has all of the text which makes it xhtml in the beginning which I didn't type out. When I open the html file in Chrome, I see the first picture and the Start Animation button but when I click the button nothing happens.
project of manipulating bouncing ball. Once user inputs the new ani value, the ball goes out. I want user to set any value ani, int and size of the ball to achieve desired animation.
Is it possible to make my application always open in a new window even if IE 7 tabbed setting is set to Open links in a new tab in the current window.Always open pop-ups in a new tab.I am using the following command to open my application in new window
This works fine, except if you move your mouse over the child-element before the animation is complete.then it gets stuck in an endless bouncing up and down loop. Tried so many different possibilities with flagging the element while it was animating, stopping animations, adding delays and what not.
I don't know if this is a browser bug. I positioned a div at the bottom of the page just underneath the viewport, calculating it with $(document).height() and animate it to bottom:0, works great even when scrolling, cause of updating with the scroll-event. But when I reload this page or scroll down a bit the original position value was used, so it animates to the original viewport value.
jQuery.crSpline - Smooth 2D animation along paths of multiple waypoints, using Catmull-Rom splines.
Demo GitHub You provide: A series of (x,y) points that the path should follow. Plugin provides: Animation along a smooth 2D path that intersects all points. Check out the demo page to see what it looks like.
[Code]...
I just published an early release of this and am looking for feedback from other developers! I made it because I needed an easy way to make animations out of extended sequences of coordinates (without doing the math to stitch together bezier curves), and as far as I could tell no one else had published an easy method to animate along Catmull-Rom splines using jQuery. This is the result, and the hope is that it will be super easy to use and helpful for people besides just me.
Future plans: More general animations and customizable behavior. The current version only animates top and left properties along whole pixel values. It also assumes that every segment of the path should take equal time, resulting in some strange speed changes when moving from small to large segments. Currently brainstorming good fixes for all of these.
I'm nothing with javascript but often use code from [URL]to complete projects. The problem at present is that I need two functions to run on a single page, and it keeps throwing errors and not working.One is for an navigation rotator, the other is for a twitter feed.
Code: <!-- jquery for twitter links --> <script type="text/javascript"
I'm new to coding and working on my school project. I have to animate a ball and make it move up and down the page using the if statement and the or logic. I understand the concepts of the if statement but when it comes to actually writing it in code, I fail miserably at it.
Heres the code... <html><body> <center><button type="button"onClick="first()">Click to move ball down!</button> <button type="button"onclick="second()">Click to return ball to top!</button></center> <IMG ID="ball"STYLE="position:absolute;left:50;top:50;width:100;height:100;"SRC="ball.jpg"> <script language="JavaScript"> var myElement=document.getElementById("ball"); var loc= 50; function first(){ loc +=50; myElement.style.top=loc; }setInterval("first()",50); function move(){ if(loc>500 || loc<0){ loc=-loc; } myBall.style.top=loc; } </script></body></html>
So what is happening is the ball will continuously fall without stopping. How to get the ball bounce from the edge of the screen back to the top and continue to do it.
I have a very strange issue which happens only on the Mac/Firefox 2 (and 3 I believe) : [URL] The top left logo (ball) is a simple flash 'spin' animation, that is activated using javascript via the navigation (onmouseover effect). This works fine on Windows - Firefox, IE and Mac - Safari. However on Mac/Firefox, the logo ball on page load simply DOES NOT APPEAR. However, when you simply SCROLL down or if you move your mouse over the navigation (which calls the flash), then the logo appears. Basically, it's really odd because the logo ball is there, but Mac/Firefox does not show it until you do something to the page, like scroll.
I need to develope a multilanguage application in javascript: is there some particular library, or do you have some pointer to guidelines to follows: the messages should if possible be keeped in a separate file, one for language. Is there some standard format?
I having taken on a large project (set by myself), and I can never seem to plan out my functions, classes, variables etc... in a format that's easy to read, and follow.
Would anyone know of some kind of application which will allow me to "prototype" my application first? I am sure such a thing exists, I just don't know what I am looking for. I think I am after something along the lines of Microsoft Visio, but a bit simpler.
I know this sounds so stupid, but it's a project that I am working on. I need to develop an application where people can upload a picture of themself and then it will add a wig to their picture over their hair.I just don't know how the code scans the uploaded photo and finds where to add the wig to the picture. The program will be really simple. No choice of wigs there is just one wig and as soon as the picture is uploaded the wig should be added and then displayed.
Is there any way to debug javascript in a web application? When I develop JSP pages, and it has the javascript code in it. The problem is the debugger in Java IDE (WSAD in my case) can only debug Java code but not Javascript code.

I am using ASP to make an application. What I want right now - is to make the self updating list of the users online - based on thier cookies. Ineed to pass two variable in a querystring from one application (in PHP) to another (in ASP.NET). It's a one way transfer...That is I need to encrypt it in PHP and decrypt it in ASP.NET (c#). The data will be anywhere from 5 - 15 characters..only letters and numbers.
I have an application on my server that is called leaf.exe, that haves two arguments needed to run, they are: inputfile and outputfile, that will be like this example:
Code:
pnote.exe input.pnt output.txt
They are all on the same directory as my home page file(the executable and the input file). But I need that a JavaScript could run the application like that, then I want to know how could I do this.I'm using just Apache, I don't have any language for web installed on it. My goal is to do a site using just JavaScript, without the help of anyother language than it, HTML and CSS.

I just start learning javascript and sorry if the question seem basic.
In DOS, if I write a batch file it would be START notepad.exe. This will launch the notepad application. How do you launch an application in Javascript?
