this is the sample script for CPM/CPC program banner :
<script type="text/javascript" language="Javascript">
aj_server = 'http:vidasco.rotator.hadj7.adjuggler.net/servlet/ajrotator/'; aj_tagver = '1.0';

Can you explain to me why this code doesn't make my div appear/disappear? I'm new to JS, and just can't quite figure it out.code...
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm doing some work on a theme and I'm using horizontal accordion scrollers.
You can see on my practice page that the three main sections (on the right) are all different sizes. The rightmost section has a big block of text but it is all cut off after 600px (which is what I have it set as).
Since this will be for a blog there will be different sized pages with every click but I can't seem to find a way to have the elements default the height based on the amount of content.
The accordion script uses MooTools and you can see everything I've done on my development page.
i'm in need of a DHTML program for design tourism management program.. Since i don't have idea on it i unable to design it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy table columns are sorted by the Tablekit library [URL]. The user can click the columns to toggle the sort order either ascendingly or descendingly. I can save the current sort order (preference) in the server. After the page is refreshed, the web page is sorted by the original sort order. How to make the Tablekit library to sort with the current sort order after page refresh? My web page column is:
<th class="sortfirstdesc" id="urgency" onClick="reverseOrder($sortdesc)">ID</th>
OK so Ive been using jquery for a little bit now and love it. I am a ColdFusion developer. I have a need where I would like to present the user with a list of categories and the user can drag and drop to sort, but then I need to post this new sort order to the database. So I see there are a ton of cool drag & drop plugins for jquery. I understand how they work and I can get it to work as far as spitting out DIVS or spitting out ULs that can be sorted, but then what? So now they are sorted on my screen and not really part of the form. How do I translate that into something I can do a post to the database with? Do I do an AJAX call every time they drop an item and try to extrapolate the sort order on that item after they drop it? Do I populate a hidden form field with the constantly updating sort order list? MAybe a list of ID's? How does everyone else go about this this task? I'm sure there is more than one way and I'm sure this is a common task.
View 1 Replies View Relatedim trying to make a program that passes an array to a method. the method then finds the smallest number in the array and passes that number back to the main where its printed out. I am getting an error saying: "error: number cannot be resolved to a variable". I am using drjava. here is my code.
import java.util.*;
public class homeWorkTwo{

I'd like to show tree structures using collapsible multi-level nested <ul>
lists (with open/closed "disclosure triangles" as list-style-images).
Something like this:
<ul>
<li onclick="alert('Level 1 clicked');">Level 1
<ul>
<li onclick="alert('Level 2 clicked');">Level 2
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
Clicking on the text following <li> (or on the list-style-image)
collapses/expands the rest of the content of that <li> (not shown here).
The problem is that each click bubbles up to the topmost list item. That is,
a click on "Level 2" first executes the innermost <li> onclick handler, then
the one for the next-outer-level <li> and so on. How can I make it so that
only the handler for the <li> that's clicked is executed? (returning false
from onclick didn't help in IE 6)
(I know I could wrap the text in <span>s and add the onclick handlers to
those instead, but that's a bit ugly, and the list-style-image would be out
of action).
I have a series of dynamic div ids like
<div id=dumm1>aaaa</div>
<div id=dumm2>bbbb</div>
<div id=dumm3>cccc</div>
Now onmouseover there is a popup bubble box appearing.

is there a way to popup a small 'bubble' or 'balloon' of text when a user lets their pointer rest over a particular part of an image? (an image map)
explorer does this sometime (randomly it seems) when i let my pointer rest of an image that has alt text - it displays the alt text in a speech bubble thing - but only sometimes! so that is no good. also netscape doesn't have this and obviously i want something that'll work in both.
the reason i want to do this is this - i've got a simplyfied map (a geographical map) as a picture. there's a small piece of info i wish to show for each country, but the map is too small to allow me to put the information directly on the map - so i figured popup bubbles would be a good way.
I used the "CreateBubblePopup", filling it with html directly in javascript. Until now, it was working fine. For some reasons, now I need to write this HTML inside the page (in a hidden div), and then load this html inside the bubble when it's created. Here is the code :
HTML :
<a class="bubble" href="..." >
<img alt="Détail" src="plus.png" />
<div class="hidden">Here is the HTML that will be displayed in the bubble.</div>
</a>
[Code]....
It seams that my "popupHtml" variable is always null, no matter what the html in the hidden div is.
For each link I pull a few pieces of info for each, link name, link URL and a brief description. When a user clicks on the link I need to display a message that they are leaving the site and allow them to cancel or continue off the site. This can be either a bubble pop-up above/below the link or a modal window, displaying the 3 details (URL, Name, description) with an option to cancel and close the new bubble pop-up/modal window.
Yahoo News does an excellent job of the bubble pop-up but it's probably much more coding than I have time for. So my question is, is there code out there that I can implement on my site for this? I'm somewhat familiar with jQuery so if there's an existing example for this I'd love to hear about it.
I'm having trouble with a recursive function.
The function is supposed to identify nested folders in a hierarchical
folder structure.
The function "searchForFolders()" is supposed to traverse sibling
nodes in each iteration, and for each sibling node, it calls itself
again, to see if there are child nodes of the current sibling.
The code below contains the function in question. For simplicity's
sake, I have replaced the images with text characters. It doesn't
look as good, but you should be able to see how the nesting works.
When you click on a "Folder", you will get debug text on the RHS of
the screen.
You will see there is an XML hierarchy. That is parsed by another
function in the page to write out the hierarchy. That is working
fine. The only functions that I am having trouble with are
"searchForFolders()" and "hideShowFolder()". Code:
Is there any way once I've done something like:
var newFields = document.getElementById('myDiv').cloneNode(true);
var newField = newFields.childNodes;
To recursively walk through and change the names of every form element found? Similar to:
var theName = newField[i].name;
if (theName) newField[i].name = theName + "[" + fCounter + "]";
I need the counters because my users can add multiple new fields to the form, and perhaps delete one out of order. (They add 3 blocks of fields and delete the 2nd one.) For formating purposes I have some <div>s in my cloned node and I can't get to the form elements inside these divs. Here's some simplified markup to illustrate what I have: Code:
I have a string "ajrdvbfomfkswkmbncrfu" where the 3 letters b,k and f can be in three forms: b,b',b" and k,k',k" and f,f',f".I want to find ALL the possible string combinations.Is there a simple way to do that in JavaScript? (probably with several for loops)
Ex: Hera are 5 combinations:
ajrdvb"fomfkswk'mbncrfu
ajrdvb'fomfkswkmbncrfu
[code]....
I'm calling a recursive function, and I want to display an alert after its done running, the thing the function is "done" after goes through it once.Here's the coles notes version....
Code:
function yay(n){
n = n-1;
if(n=0){
[code]....
I don't want it to show the alert until its done all of it's recursive splendor.
I am coding an AJAX DHTML whatever application and I was fed up with
always typing a lot of appendChild() functions.
I created a custom one called append_children() and wanted to share it
if anyone need such a function.
function append_children() {
var a = append_children.arguments;
for ( var i = a.length - 1; i > 0 ; i-- ) {
try {
a[i-1].appendChild(a[i]);
} catch(e) {
for ( var j = 0; j < a[i].length; j++ ) {
append_children(a[i-1], a[i][j]);
}}}}
Here's the function:
function getParentElementByTagName(child, TagName){
var cn;
if (child.parentElement){
cn = child.parentElement;
if (child.parentElement.tagName == TagName){
return cn;
}else{
getParentElementByTagName(child.parentElement, TagName);
}}}
although it finds the element, the function returns null ( on the line
'return cn', cn is not null though). Is my algorithm wrong ?
I have written a function that works but it is recursive so ends up blowing the browser stack.I have seen a few examples of converting recursive functions to use a local stack but cannot convert my own function.I have a recursive function that is using the return values to build a result.
