I want to give the user possibility to paste an image into a webform. I don't need to display the image, all I need is the image's location.I know it's possible because the guys at CKEditor(and other editors) are doing it. If you go here, [URL] and paste an image you copied and then right click on it and go to image properties you'll see they have the image's address. How can this be done?
I have busy forum site where some of the spammers copy/paste the forum topics from other sites! I would like to disable copy/paste using Javascript! Its possible? How to do it!
My paste catch trigger for autocomplete works fine for Ctrl-V. If using right click/paste, however, it will not trigger autocomplete. The paste event does fire with both keyboard and mouse, but for some reason it's not triggering the autocomplete, but again - Only with the mouse paste.
I have a web app (front end jquery, backend django) that allows usersto type commens into a text area. My users are asking for the abilityto cut and paste images into their comments. They want to use anwindows app called mwsnap to basically snap images from their desktop, then ctrl-v to copy the image into my django app. Does anyone knowwhat sort of client side support is needed to do this? I am fairlyadept at jquery/javascript, but haven't seen anything like this thoughit does seem like a very reasonable request since they are certainlyable to cut and paste into Outlook this way. However, when I try tocut and paste this way into yahoo mail or gmail it doesn't work, soperhaps this is a hard thing to do in a web app.
This may or may not be possible, but if anyone knows a way to do it,I'd love to hear from you.Basically, I simply (?) want to copy an image (e.g. from ALT-PrintScreen or 'Copy Image'), and paste/drop it into an img tag on a pageso it appears on the page. I can then resize, drag-drop, etc. asrequired.I've had a rummage around the net, but can't find anything. Maybe it's
This may seem an odd question, but is it possible to write a script in JavaScript or even Java to copy an image from one browser window and paste it somehow in another window? Or is it impossible for security reasons?
I am trying to fix a bug in WYSWYG (NicEdit). When I copy and paste from a site it pulls the styles and elements that are in that copy ~ all I want is just the plain text.
So I am starting a script that can be used to override the paste in the textarea and strip the copy to plain text.
This is what I have so far (it's just a start):
So, when I paste in a texarea right now there is an alert that says "paste". What I want is to get the data in the paste and then strip it to plain text - then paste it in the textarea.
I am a newbie in web development. I need to create a function that works whenever user print a web page, I would like to get the date and record that date into database. Additionally, the function must work on IE & Firefox. There is onbeforeprint() event in JavaScript, but that only works in IE.
I paid for some to create a slideshow, and it works fine in the orginial html document but when i copy and paste the code into my html document the scroller to the left of the image stops moving up and downI put the working file at thisthe guy i paid to do work refuses to help even those i advertised the price in my ad and he wanted me to give to pay him more to tell which code to change
I wish to automate the population of a page by prefilling form values such as select boxes as well as fire off the change event after the value has been set. However there are at least 3/4 select boxes on one page which need populating automatically.
This works fine for the first element but not for subsequent elements all in one go when use the Trigger method of Jquery.
i am looking to create a simple travel website where the user inputs details into a form or selects options from a drop down menu. When they submit their details they are taken to another webpage were simple adverts on the side of the webpage will relate to the options they selected from the drop down menus. For example: I select New York, and some dates. The advert on the next page will say 'Going to New York, stay at this hotel'
It will say the same if another city is selected but with the city name changed and the hotel name changed. On the second page i will ask the user to fill in personal details in a form, and again after they click submit, they are taken to another webpage and the advert will change, maybe including their name and some other details.
Is this possible and how would i go about it? The adverts only need to include some simple text for now. If the text can srcoll or move that would be a bonus. I have looked through many books and searched the web and cant find anything. I just want to use the input and selections made from the user to adapt the next webpage.
I found this slide show [URL]. I got it to work on my website [URL] using Firefox, but when it is viewed in Internet Explorer it will not work. Second question, When the slide show gets to the last image, after the last image all photos disappear and it resets itself changing the format of the webpage. Any way to not have the images disappear while it loops itself or is there a code to have it stop on the last photo and not loop.
I'm trying to set up a web page to display a video when a user clicks on a link. So far, it works fine in IE and Chrome, but it won't work in Firefox.[URL]
I want to have a big image and say 5 small thumbnails underneath. When the user clicks a thumbnail, the image loads where the previous big image was. Is there a standard way to do this?
Im modifying some open source code and in this instance I would like to write some data to a file (possibly for the user to download). In this code the user can toggle the hidden exportData to be shown on the webpage. However, I would like to give the option of downloading/saving the data as a file (only the exportData which I believe is the document.getElementById("path")). I have tried various tricks found online, but have yet to produce the hoped for result.
I want to crop a portion of a web-page using JavaScript.I got some JavaScript.By using those script i can corp image but i am not able to corp a portion of a page.
I have the following code which *should* change the image I have on my webpage to images based on the time.
function timeDate() { var t=new Date(); var h = d.getHours();[code]....
I don't know why this won't work. It should compare the hour variable (h) to the hour, and then change the image based on that. However it doesn't do this, and I'm not sure why. I've tried using both = and ==, but neither seem to work. Like I said I am a newbie to this sort of stuff. Also, would there be a way of making the el.src to: "images/timedate/"+[the hour]+".png" without the need of directly comparing the hours? It would be useful if it was possible, as I need to do a minutes one as well
I want my webpage to print an image when the user clicks the "Print this Image" button. I have tried but when I click the button it prints all the contents including the image! What I want is that when the user clicks the button it shud print only the image in that page and nothing else. I have placed the image and the button in a form tag, in a separate table below the main table in which the main contents of the site contains, but it still dont work. How I can make it work?
I am using this fancy box code to smoothly pop up an image on click, I got it working on my main index page but that's not where I want to put it. My site has a menu where it loads external webpages inside the main index one, I would like to use the code on one of those pages but something is not working.
I have been told its a DOCTYPE issue but I am not able to use the specified DOCTYPE, however I find that it works all the same with my current DOCTYPE choice. If I use the given one in addition to the one I use now (and need) then my site does not work properly, further if I replace it I get the same results.
My existing doctype:
Code:
<DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd" "http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-html401-19991224/loose.dtd" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="en" lang="en">
[Code]....
I even tried using the exact code from the example in that linked .htm page but it doesn't make a difference, it probably even hinders the code as it looks at the main html page. However loading the page on its own the code will work, so its related to the menu and the way that works.

I'm try to set up a webpge that will play a live flash video on the left-hand side(got that part working) and display one slide of a presentation(jpg) to the right of the video. I would like to be able to control when the slide image changes by having some js check a text file on my server. The text file could contain something as simple as "Slide1.jpg". I will manipulate the text file with some code I've already written. Is there some simple js code I can put in my page that will cause it to check the text file every 5 seconds, and if the content of the file has changed, to refresh the image on the page with the new image? I'm try to get away from the "clicking" sound that is caused by doing a simple refresh of an Iframe.
