For example.It show objects if I remove the if statement that checks if the class is visible.for example this shows a class and works.

I am having a strange problem with fly out links.
I have a user control that renders a flyout menu using javascript. The
problem is, on one machine, the flyout menu is not appearing when we
hover mouse over the item.
But the flyout is working fine on other machines. I am not able to
reproduce that problem.
I believe that the problem is with some browser setting. I tried
disabling "Active Scripting" under Tools->Internet
Options->Security->Local Intranet to reproduce that problem. But the
entire menu is not rendered.
[URL]As I hover over Item 15, I want it to be like, "Okay, this list I'm about to display is going to be too long, so let's disregard the 'top: 10px' line in the CSS and instead have the submenu sit with its last item right at the bottom aligned with the bottom of the gradient." That way, we know for sure that the submenu will not reach past the height of the body, and the last item will be visible. The bottom of the last item's cell should "hug" the bottom of the page/gradient.

I have a pure css flyout (flyin - what ever you call it) menu, and I simply am looking for some JavaScript that will enable it to fly in a little slower. You know, with CSS, it's either there or it's not. So I'd like to animate it a little more.
Edit - actually, I think it's called a slide-in.
I`m searching for a dhtml/java script as shown in the example below. example:
1. the flyout menus (found some at dynamicdrive)
2. the link description above the menu (only found textlink description)
What is the proper technique to hide a flyout menu on mouseout? Note that it should not disappear if the user continues to hover over it's corresponding menu tab.
Some ideas:
1. I remember seeing a post about this fromkboudloche, but can't find it for the life of me. He selected the whole document, and then filtered out the menus, and hid the flyout on a mousein event. Something like that.
2. I have a parent div that contains both the menu tab and its flyout. I tried hiding the flyout on a mouseout of that div, but to no avail.
3. Some sort of nested check; e.g.:
If mouseout of flyout area...
If mouseout of menu tab...
Hide flyout
4. Selecting the document body, and then using not() or filter() to remove the flyout and tab, and binding a mouseover -> hide flyoutevent to this selection.
I really like this Superfish menu [URL].. plugins/superfish/#sample3) built with Jquery. But, I need to style it very differently. Does anyone know how to style the sub-menus that fly-out on hover differently?

I am using a reverse color scheme (the background is green font color white) - so when I rollover a main menu item the menu item rolled over has a background of white, font color is green. When I go to a sub menu item the background of the main menu item stays white, but the font also stays white (I want the font to stay green).This is an example of how I want my menu to work:

I am trying to turn a single level flyout menu into a multi level one.
It uses a dt for the title, and a ul within the dd for the menu items. The dd opens to the right of the dt.
The problem is that the second level menu (a dl within an li within another dl) [URL] - flyout4 & subflyout5.
The z-index is increased each time. I just can't figure why the area is limited.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a HTML content with some pages defined as <div>...</div>. One of them is visible while the rest is hidden (the visibility can be changed on client side). The problem: standard window scroller counts whole content (visible and hidden) so empty space is also scrolled. I'd like
it to behave as only visible content is to be scrolled (not empty space). The same applies to print (window.print). It prints not only what is visible, but also empty pages for these div's which are not visible.
How to set scroller (and print method) to take only visible content of page?

Is there anyway to determine if a DIV with its overflow style set to
auto has the scrollbars visible? I have a dynamically built table inside
my DIV. If the table is over a certain height and the scrollbars appear,
I want to shrink the width of my table. If the table's height doesn't
exceed the div's height, I want the table to be the same width as the
div. Any ideas?

After much searching and head-scratching (JS is not my forte!), I adapted some code to do what I want - well, almost! So here I am back again. I need to have three divs on a page, with each separate div changing onClick. Below is the code so far.
Two problems:
1) when I open it in a browser window both divs show, then the one disappears when I click on the second div leaving only the numbers. How can I change it so that both divs remain open?
2) Instead of the numbers [1], [2], etc. to change the divs, I'd like to have to just click on one single 'click here for more' to display the next div then return to the first after the last one. Can this be integrated or is it too late?

I have a mootools accordion in the website I'm building that uses two classes: "toggler" for the titles and "element" for the content.
I'm in the need of adding an input field at the bottom of the "element" DIV that the user has opened.
Problem is, every content of every different toggle has the same id="element".
The only difference is that the one opened has the visibility set to "visible".
Is there a way so I can write in that visible DIV from Javascript?
I understand how to make a div (table) invisible and then visible on a timer.. What I want to do is add a counter to my code and make the table flash 3 times and then stop with the table visible. all my code does right now is make the table flash on and off every 1 second. Is there a way to trigger an event when an object (div or img) became visible in the user brower? (ie: the user needs to scroll down to see the div in his browser, then making it visible trigger an event that load the picture inside)
View 2 Replies View RelatedBasically i have a function that depending on which picture you click (one for "yes" and other for "no") it will make visible a textarea .
However right now if i click in "yes" it will display me the textarea for yes, and afterwards if i click "no" it will display both textareas, for yes and no. I want everytime i click on yes it will hide the "no" textarea and the same for when i click the "no" textarea, it will hide the "yes" textarea.
