var checkStock = function(){
As you can see it retrieves data with json so it makes an invoice. If the items that er in stock are smaller then the items that are ordered the paga can not be send. This part works BUT if everthing is ok and we get to our submit, it submits but goes to a white/blank page ?
I tried everything i could think of, no luck, even in the IRC no luck.

It has a jsp which has a form and two buttons, one of them is html:submit, and the other is html:button. Submit has to post the form, of course, that works correctly on all of
the browsers.
But the other button has an onclick event declared. It calls the implemented javascript function in IE and in Opera, too, but Firefox submits the form as well when I hit submit button.

In the following .submit function, I am attempting to grab the value of the selected option in the facilityCodes dropdown list when I click the submit button and then during the submit function,select the facilityCode again in the dropdown list when the page reloads and then disable the list so that the user cannot change it.However,the situation is when I reload the page after the submit button is clicked the dropdown defaults to the first option and the list is enabled.I apparently am not understanding how.submit works so that I'm selecting the option I'm defining in my code below and then disabling the list AFTER the page reloads due to an error on the page. My question is how can I accomplish this?Here is my code:
$(function() {
$("#ARTransferForm").submit(function() {
var msgsCount = 0;[code]....

f.target = 'foo'
window.open('',f.target,'menubar=no,scrollbars=no, width=800,height=800');
f.submit();
return false;
}

I have a page with many forms that I need to change from a post to an ajax call. That part is working, no problem, but now I want to disable the submit button while it's waiting on the server response and then re-enable it when the response comes back.
Here's what I have:
$(function() {
$('form').each(function() {
$(this).submit(function(){
[code]...
I can't figure out what my selector should be to get the submit button of the form that's being submitted. What should I be using instead? Also, if the call errors out, I'd like to just post the form as usual.

I have a form without a submit button. It gets submitted programmatically with document.form.submit().
What I need is to be able to disable this form's submit capability on page load and then reenable it at some later point. Remember there is no 'input' button element.
Code:
What I've tried so far is like this:
savedSubmit = document.inputs.submit;
document.inputs.submit = None;
then later:
document.inputs.submit = savedSubmit;
but this does not work. How can I do this?

I've got a pretty basic form that i need to be able to "submit" by simply loading it in the browser address, not click the submit button. is there a way to do this? Here is the code:
<form name="newform" action="/dir/submition.cfm?z=1&Myid=1" method="post">
<input type="hidden" name="userID" value="27566">
<input type="submit" value="Submit">
</form>
if i load just http://www.mysite.com/dir/submition.cfm?z=1&Myid=1, it doesnt do anything because it doesnt have the userID variable, but im not sure how to include that into the address...

I have a form where i use normal buttons with javascript so i can have multiple actions and I don't use a submit button. I can submit the form fine using document.adminform.submit(); but i have an onsubmit="return submitForm"; attached to my <form> tag.
If i had a submit button, it would call the javascript function, but seeing as i don't have a submit button, how can i call that function. here is the bits causing problems
PHP Code:
<form name="adminform" id="adminform" method="post" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; ?>"  onsubmit="return submitForm();">
<p><input type="button" class="back" id="backbutton" title="go back" onclick="performAction('back');" />
<input type="button" class="save" id="savebutton" title="save" onclick="performAction('save');" /></p>
[Code]...
when the save button is clicked, a javascript function is called which does the ocument.adminform.submit(); but i need to do call the submitForm() function at the same time

I have a very simple form. I start with the submit button disabled and once all of the fields have been validated I would like the submit button to enable. I only have required fields so the standard options that come with the validation plugin satisfy my needs. I only have this code along with the corresponding classes.
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#myForm").validate();
});

I want to refresh the calculations on a form without submitting the form. I have tried two different JavaScript button codes, and I'm wondering if there is a reason for using one over the other, and if there is something else better for cross-browser use.
1) [ICODE] _doClick('$Refresh', this, '_self')
2) [ICODE] _doClick('$Refresh', this, null, null)

I'm looking for some help with something I have been developing over the last day or so. Basically, I have a form with some input boxes in it, and I am trying to use some javascript to do a calculation with these input boxes. The problem is that when I go to click on the "calculate" button nothing happens. The fields where the value should go to I have made visible instead of hidden to make sure that something is going there but nothing is appearing.
I've checked various parts of my syntax with online checkers and other javascript examples and I'm stuck as to what has gone wrong. If anyone can shed some light on the problem and possible solutions that would be awesome.
[Code]...
Edit: I have edited the code to remove/change the things that "Philip M" kindly pointed out were not needed and a bit of re-designing the page. I still can't get the javascript to put the answer value in the correct place on the click of the button. I'm under the impression it has something to do with the button rather than the javascript code but I might be wrong.

I have a multistep jquery form that validates user input and then should send me an email. Problem is, right now, I can only get it to validate the first page, then it sends the email before the rest of the pages are viewed. I'm just trying to delay the submission of the form until the "submit_fourth" button is pressed. I've got $25 via paypal for the one who sticks with this one for long enough to come up with a workable solution.
Here is my code I know it's a lot, but I wasn't sure how much would be HTML code is in the second post in this thread (it was just too much to fit in one go).

I am trying to figure out the contains() selector, and I may be using it incorrectly.
Basically I am trying to check if the email input field contains 'invalid' in the user entered value.
So shorthand it would be like this:
if (email value contains 'invalid' when form submits) {
do something;
}
This is what I have:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js"></script>

I have a web page that has a very simple form. This form does not have a submit button I use an image element fro a form and the utilize the onclick javscript call. This onclick wil validate the form and then IF the form pass all the validation the script itself will submit the form by checking a error flag status and if no errors submit the form. That is the way it is supposed to work. Mine doesn't.
[CODE]<script language="JavaScript" type="text/javascript">
function jeff1() {

I am using a simple form to submit values to another website. This has been working without any problems. I now have added a second form to the page. I have separated the text boxes and duplicated the information from one form to another. The problem is, when I click on the link that use to submit the information, nothing happens. Before the addition of the new form a new window would open with the search that I had submitted. Am I missing something to point to one form or the other? The following is the code that i am using in the form that no longer submits.
<script language="javascript">
function submitPostLink()
{
document.postlink.submit();
