I have this script that gets the value of the selected radio button and then i put into a table from the id. I have over thrity of these and realized that if i didnt cut the values down to a certin size, it would completely destroy the table. I was wondering if there was any way to run the selected value from the radio group through the function(or something else that can cut it to a certin length) then display it in the table. i was thinking it might be easy to do the whole thing in javascript.
Everything above here works great, i just need to cut it to a certin lenght before its displayed

When radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" = "yes" (select by default) then "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" must be disabled as per code in the script but after the page have been load the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" is not disabled.
When click on "yes" radio button "Owner_Regular_driver_the_same" which is selected by default then the "Regular_driver_name" and "Regular_driver_ID_nr" fields are diabled.

And based on what radio button they select, I need to pass that variable to a div (at least that's what I want to use) and then show a list of videos that match the radio buttons value. I don't care if its a get or post or other.I tried to use GET or POST so I can use that value for my PHP/MySQL lists.I am open to any suggestions/tutorials, etc.

Is there any function or property for finding out the size of the first (or for that matter any) dimension of a multidimensional array?EDIT:There seems to be no such functionality, I found a solution that does not require it. If anyone is reading this for the same reason; it needs to be scripted.

The problem is that it keeps returning a value of 0 every loop. When tested in Internet Explorer, FireFox and Google Chrome, it works just fine, returning values as it should (in this case the values of 32, 36, 35, 36). However, like i said, Safri returns 0, 0, 0, 0.
Crazy thing is, before it calls the checkArray() function, i check to make sure its sending the correct number and it does, so its something to do with the .length part since i did a check on that and that's where its coming up with the 0's.

Ok the setup is basically this. The user selects a option in a drop down field, whatever they select through javscript additional records are populated in a second select field. This second select field allows for multiple selections, however I am submitting the form to a php script and I want to capture the multiple selections in the second select field. To do that for php I need to turn the field into an array so I have to add the brackets, [], to the name of the select field.
In php you can name the field like so:

The problem is in the js function when I give it a field name with [] the script doesnt work. Here is the js function:

You can see the [] for the cid field name. Whenever I add that to the field name the js script is broken. How do I get it to work so that I can pass an array to php when the form submits?

I'm a JS beginner and I find looping through arrays with for/in is very easy. Yet I find lots of code examples where array length is used instead of for/in and I'm thinking to myself, why do it this (somewhat) hard(er) way?

I have button with no width specified. The text value of the button differs, so i left it with no width.
It automatically sets the width but the problem is it to wide with about 5 spaces on each side of text letting the button look stupid.
I thought of working out the Text in a javascript function then set the length of the button.

I am trying to produce a web form to allow wedding guests to RSVP. The form allows them to enter a name and select from a radio button whether they will be attending or not. If they select the "yes" radio button then a further pair of radio buttons are displayed for their meal preference.
They can then click a submit button or they can click another button to add another line for another guest which operates in exactly the same way. I've almost got this working, but it seems that the checkbox change handler is lost for the current guest when a new guest is added and the checkbox value is reset. I've got a feeling I'm doing something stupid but can't for the life of me figure out what.

I have it set up so that there are three frames (frames and the use of javascript are encourage for practice) "bar" on the left with navigational options, "main" in the center where the body of the drill is presented, and "feedback" along the bottom where the feedback will appear.
My issue is that I have everything working except the form! I'm not sure how to make it so that upon clicking the submit button the feedback is presented in the "feedback" frame. This was suggested to me but isn't working, maybe I have a mistake somewhere? Or is there another way I can do this?
