My issue is that the calendar will intermittently not populate the text box beyond the 7th day of the month. For example, if you click on February 1st, it will populate with: code...

Not sure if this is possible in javascript: I'm looking for two different dates (bill date and due date) on an invoice that are captured by OCR. If one of them exists, but the other does not, I want the empty field to be 14 days before (or after) the other.
For example if the bill date is 7/27/2010 and the due date was not captured, I want to set the due date as 8/10/2010 (14 days after the bill date). If the due date was captured as 8/10/2010, but the due date is blank, I want to assign the bill date as 7/27/2010 (14 days before the due date).

I have a problem checking that a date is in the past or future.Everything seems fine but the alert always comes back saying the date is in the past.
function OpenTimesheet(TSdate)
{
var SelectedDate = new Date(TSdate)
[code]...
TSdate is in yyyy/mm/dd format and looks fine, in both alerts the dates are written correctly, it just always says they are a 'BEFORE' date regardless.

I have JS code that will pass 3 parameters (Current Day, Current Month, Current Year) to a XSL. This is working correctly. However, I need to send the Day, Month, and Year, 30 days is the past. (ie. 06/17/2009 - 30 days = 05/18/2009).
Code:
var currentTime = new Date();
var date = currentTime.getDate()
var month = currentTime.getMonth() + 1
var day = currentTime.getDate()
var year = currentTime.getFullYear()

I have a file system where users upload files. Using PHP the file is time stamped and that time stamp is saved in a database. This has been going on for months so I have a lot of files with server times saved in the database. Recently the client asked if the date/time could be displayed according to the client's timezone instead of the server's. So, I need a javascript function that will take a PHP formated date string and convert it to the clients time-zone.
So let's say there is a file with a date/time of 07/15/2004 1:15 PM in central time zone and the client is viewing the file today in pacific time zone (2 hrs diff.). I need to show that date/time as 07/15/2004 11:15 AM. I need JS to take གྷ/15/2004 1:15 PM' and somehow convert it to གྷ/15/2004 11:15 AM'. Code:

I see that the defaultDate can easily be set to a specific date, or to a date that is a number of days, weeks, month, or years in the future or past. But is there a way to ...have the defaultDate default to the first day of the next month? or ...have the date picker default to the first day of a month no matter what day the user selects for that month? or ...Have the date picker disable every day of every month except for the first day?

I am working on a series of functions that I keep getting asked about. The following three scripts do this:
--Date Validation
--Calculate Difference Between Dates
--Date Addition or Subtraction
I am sure that these have been done before, but I just filled the last 20 minutes by coding these. I only did a quick browser test, nothing extensive.
<script>
//Date Validation
function DateValid(mo, dy, yr){
TheDate = mo+"/"+dy+"/"+yr;
Date1 = new Date(TheDate)
D=Date1.getDate();
M=Date1.getMonth()+1;
Y=Date1.getYear();
[Code] .....

I was working on Date() object of javascript. When I write:
today=new Date();
year=today.getYear();
month=today.getMonth();
day=today.getDay();
Here everything was correct but when I print month then I got currentmonth-1 that if the currentmonth is 5 then t get 4. If the current month is 07 then I get 06. At last I worked by adding 1 with month like month+1.

I'm really sorry to post this as I know it must have been asked
countless times before, but I can't find an answer anywhere.
Does anyone have a snippet of JavaScript code I could borrow which
calculated the difference in years and days between two dates, and
takes leap years into account?
I'm calculating the difference in the usual way, i.e....
var difference = dateTo.getTime() - dateFrom.getTime();
....and converting this millisecond value into days by using...
var daysDifference = (difference/1000/60/60/24);
But how do I then display the difference in days AND years? I've tried
the following:
var yearsDifference = Math.floor(daysDifference/365.25);
var daysLeft = Math.floor(daysDifference-(yearsDifference*365.25));
....but it gives me inaccuracies. For example, if I use my code to
calculate the difference between 05/01/1998 and 05/01/2000 it returns 1
year and 364 days!

I have a form that captures member registration details. In the admin section .. I would like to change the Status field of a record/s from NEW to PAYMENT DUE after 14 days from the data of submission. The status change should automatically trigger on the 15th day. So when the admin checks the list page he/she should be able to view the updated status field.
