Current Date Comparison To Selected Month/year For Expiration
Oct 30, 2005
I'm having trouble figuring out exactly how to write the confirmation/validation for the card expiration choices compared to the current date. I have the month and year choices in selection menus, as opposed to text boxes. Code:

I am working on a series of functions that I keep getting asked about. The following three scripts do this:
--Date Validation
--Calculate Difference Between Dates
--Date Addition or Subtraction
I am sure that these have been done before, but I just filled the last 20 minutes by coding these. I only did a quick browser test, nothing extensive.
<script>
//Date Validation
function DateValid(mo, dy, yr){
TheDate = mo+"/"+dy+"/"+yr;
Date1 = new Date(TheDate)
D=Date1.getDate();
M=Date1.getMonth()+1;
Y=Date1.getYear();

I have a drop down menu where people can select a month, day and year. Based on their selection, I want to show them an image.
If their selection is >= July 26, 2010 but <= July 25, 2011, show the red image;
If their selection is >= July 26, 2011 but <= July 25, 2012, show the white image;
If their selection is >= July 26, 2012 but <= July 25, 2013, show the blue image;
If their selection is >= July 26, 2013 but <= July 25, 2014, show the yellow image;
I don't know how to compare a selected date to a range of dates like this.

I was working on Date() object of javascript. When I write:
today=new Date();
year=today.getYear();
month=today.getMonth();
day=today.getDay();
Here everything was correct but when I print month then I got currentmonth-1 that if the currentmonth is 5 then t get 4. If the current month is 07 then I get 06. At last I worked by adding 1 with month like month+1.

I am trying to create simple JS code for two drop down lists...and I am unable to made anything work. Here are the specs:
On my asp page, I need two drop down lists, the first for a four position year (2006, 2005 , 2004, etc) and the second is for two position month. The hook is that I would like them to dynamically update in relation to the present date. Example...present month and year is 03/06. If I select 񟭆' from the year drop down - my only options for the month dropdown should be ༿', ༾', & ༽'. Next month (04/06), my options for the month dropdown should be ཀ', ༿', ༾', & ༽'. If I select 񟭅' - my options for the month drop down should include all 12 months.
I would like this to update dynamically...with no hard coded dates. The range would be now to 5 years prior. It seems like it should be easy but I just can't get the darn thing.

I have 2 different dropdowns lists. One for the month and another for the days (shows the date)
by default when the page is loaded, I am showing January in the first dropdown and 1 in the second dropdown (date).
But if a user selects February from the month dropdown list, I just dont want to show 29th, 30th, 31st etc. Same applicable for say april, june, sept etc where I dont want to show 31st so the user will not be able to select wrong date for a month. How can I do this?

I've come across this archive at [URL]. What I would like is to have it to have it include "days" as well. So lets say as of today (Apr 8th), when a user choose Apr, the dropdown for 'day' will have the options 01, 02, 03.....08. Another thing to note is that each month has different number of days in it. I've tried playing around for quite some time now...but so far no luck.

It's supposed to set the expiration date of all the cookies on my page for one year, but it's not working. I know it's not working because Safari lets you see the expiration date for each cookie set on a page, and it didn't show it for the elements being set on my page.
I'm using jQuery for this, so heres my one script:
var currentRotation=null;
function checkOrientAndLocation(){
if(currentRotation != window.orientation){
setOrientation();
}}
function setOrientation(){
switch(window.orientation){
case 0:
orient = 'portrait';
break;
case 90:
orient = 'landscape';
break;
case -90:
orient = 'landscape';
break;
} currentRotation = window.orientation;
document.body.setAttribute("orient",orient);
setTimeout(scrollTo,0,0,1);
}
$(window).unload(function() { // On page unload
$('.remember').each(function() { // Save each value to expire in a year
$.cookie(this.id, this.value, {expires: 365});
});
$('.draggable').each(function() { // Save draggable positions
var draggable = $(this);
$.cookie(this.id, draggable.css('top') + '_' + draggable.css('left'), {expires: 365});
$.cookie('disp' + this.id, draggable.css('display'), {expires: 365});
});});
$(function() {
var val, pos, disp;
setInterval(checkOrientAndLocation,1000);
$('.remember').each(function() {
var val = $.cookie(this.id); // Retrieve value for this element
if (val) {
this.value = val;
}});
$('.draggable').each(function() {
var pos = $.cookie(this.id); // Retrieve values for this element
if (pos) {
pos = pos.split('_');
$(this).css({position: 'absolute', top: pos[0], left: pos[1]});
} var disp = $.cookie('disp' + this.id);
if (disp) {
this.style.display = disp;
}}).touch({animate: false, sticky: false, dragx: true, dragy: true,
rotate: false, resort: false, scale: false
});});
There's also a file that sets the basic elements for the cookie, but the expiration date code should be in the file above.

I have 2 textbox for Date input: Start Date and End Date I have javascript onsubmit="return fieldCheck()" to check all the required fields are not empty.
My problem is that i want to throw below javascript to check that End Date cannot be earlier than the Start Date. It works if both dates are in the same month, and if they are different month or day, then it's not working properly
d1_str = document.form.txtEndDate.value;
d2_str = document.form.txtStartDate.value;
d1 = new Date(d1_str.split('/')[2],d1_str.split('/')[1],d1_str.split('/')[0]);
d2 = new Date(d2_str.split('/')[2],d2_str.split('/')[1],d2_str.split('/')[0]);
if (d1.getTime()<d2.getTime()) {
emptyfields += "
End Date can't be earlier than Start Date" ; //this is the error msg
}
