Jan 26, 2010I am trying to setup a form with radio buttons. Each radio button has an OnClick event. When a radiobutton is clicked the current set of radio buttons will be replaced with a new set using document.createElement("input"). Each new radio button needs the same onclick event addedas in the initial set of radio buttons. I first tried:
element.setAttribute('onclick', MyFunction(value));
This, however, will somehow automatically trigger the onclick event! I searched on the internet and found this as the solution:
var new_onclick = function() { alert("this works!"); };
element.setAttribute('onclick', new_onclick);
This will give a "Object" is undefined error!

onMouseOver="showPop(small.html)").
Which tag should I use in the layer :
<div id="pop"><object data="small.html"></object></div>
OR
<div id="pop"><iframe src="small.html"></iframe></div>
Or maybe is there another solution ?
--of course the file small.html will be different for each link on the
page, that's the job of the showPop() function--
I want my site to be visible by as most browsers/platform as possible.
JQuery :: Links Within Load Object Needs To Reference Parent / Caller
Mar 3, 2011I'm new to jQuery and Javascript overall, I have searched the internet to make use of jQuery instead of the HTML's iframe tag. My problem is links inside a .load file, I want them to refresh the box on the index.php file, not the file itself (in this case the links are in blog.php)
Here's everything I can provide with:

In my index.php file I have this script to make my index.php links open the required file in my div box.

When the user hovers their mouse over the <a> inside the list item I need the <span class="size"> to sort of slide to the left a bit and another span to be inserted where the current one is (fade in)... This new span will have links like "Share", "Bookmark", etc inside of it.

Jul 26, 2010I have created a form with malsup's Form Plugin wherein it submits on change of the inputs. I have set up my jQuery script to index drop down menus and visible inputs, and uses that index to determine whether keydown of tab should move focus to the next element or the first element, and likewise with shift+tab keydown. However, instead of moving focus to the first element from the last element on tab keydown like I would like it to, it moves focus to the second element. As you can see, I'm using a div tag in place of an image and setting the image as the BG of the div. Then I'm overlaying some text and links on the "slide". When I click the links however, the result is animation invocation rather than link target invocation. The div click event is takingprecedenceover the link click event. Is there a built in handler in the Cycle library to handle this?

Jul 20, 2010I want to use a text link to submit a form and get the POST values instead of an ugly submit button which is difficult to style. I thought it would be simple but I can't do it - whats the problem with this .js?
The problem is I can't get the $_POST variables to perform some conditional logic. I want the user to answer a question submit the form to itself and test the result.
I can do this fine with a submit button but a text link styled as a button looks much better. Do I have to use ajax() function or something to send the from variables to a PHP script?
Onclick Event For OBJECT Element In IE
May 3, 2006I can't set onclick event properly for OBJECT (flash) element properly. onclick just don't bubble outside flash object. Could this be caused by AS getUrl() function?
I tried to attach thru .htc, tried transparent IFRAME on top of object, etc. Nothing seems to work.
Is there any reasonable way to attach onclick to OBJECT element or flash movie by using JS or plain HTML? Should I do something for event bubbling?
