Am trying to display the div tag and its content by clicking it. the code below displays the whole source code when cliked on the div with id = softros. I want to make this script to display the div in view source format of the browser when clicked on any div.

I'm new to JavaScript and hope somebody can help me with the following. I'd like to create some tabs with one active tab. Now the problem is I don't want to load all tabs at once, but only load the content of the active tab, the first tab by default and the content of the other tabs stored in a database.
I thought this would be possible with JavaScript and/or Ajax (however I'm new to this matter) but I only can find tutorials where all content of all tabs is loaded at once like the following:[URL]..

I have found lots of example of right click menu's about but i was wondering if it was possible to have it display one of the right click menus on left clicking a <a href link possibly more than 1 in the same page. View 1 Replies View RelatedOn a page I display a link of search results which are hyperlinks, which all have the same URL get paramaters with different values (i.e. companyreport.aspx?....). I want to then click on a search result hyperlink and then generate a Div popup (this is called through a javascript call that is attached to each search result hyperlink's onClick property.
For the hyperlink that is clicked, I need to take its 'href' value and use it (reason for us is in a bit).
On the popped up Div element is a dropdown box and two buttons (accept / decline). Once the accept button is pressed, I want to then go to the page the selected hyperlink was pointing to by using the 'href' value I obtain from the clicked search hyperlink and to also append to this hyperlink the a new GET parameter and the value of the dropdown box.
I have got this to work currently but it seems quite mess, so was wondering if there is a better solution to this.

The problem I am having is that sometimes pulling the data from MySQL takes 2-3 seconds, so the div is empty for about 2-3 seconds. I am using javascript to switch between a series of divs, on clicking a navigation tab the divs display property is set to 'block' and all other divs have their display property set to 'none'. That works fine, the problem I have is when I redirect to another page (e.g. a PHP script) on return to the index the divs have reset and only the default div is shown, rather than the div that was showing when the user left the page. The solution, as I see it, is two stages: Write a function to display the relevant div based on the variable passed to it, then work out how to pass this variable around various pages (post/get). I am very inexperienced with javascript and it drives me mad that the script literally does nothing rather than throwing up an error (as in PHP) but this is what I have so far in terms of a function:

View 8 Replies View RelatedI run a review site with multiple cities. For each city page, I want to display different banners. When someone comes to my site, they select the city they are from and a cookie is set. The cookie is called "transfer_page" and the values are "LA" "NY" "London" etc.
I have different banner campaigns for each city. So, once a visitor has selected their page (and the cookie has been set), I want them to only see the banners that apply to their city.

Basically, I'm unable to edit any raw content, however I am able to do things like add JS/HTML to the header or footer of a page, which will in turn be displayed on every page of this platform. My dilemma is, I only want content being showed on a single page of the platform. I have a script that takes longer to load than the page, so I would like to have it say "Loading - please wait!" until the script has loaded.
